Anime is the cancer of the Japanese entertainment industry. Because you got greedy bastards who make poor production decisions and screw them up especially if they are adaptations from light novels or visual novels.

Also, 90% of them are bullshit high school plots with no progression on romance. If you like getting tortured by fanservice and cockblocking, then go ahead and watch animes. They are perfect for masochists.

:pyaa:

I'm a masochist confirmed!

(To me, generic ecchi anime with no plot developement never gets old. I... I have no idea why ... It's like a sickness :yumiko: )

Well we all know why ...

I see where you're coming from. Nowadays, there are only 2 or 3 anime that are worth watching per season. I mostly stopped watching as much as I used to because of over exposure which I tend to do to myself a lot :makina:

I had an idea that it would be uneven but it's good to see why other people find the medium better than anime.

I know how you feel but i also found myself enjoying a lot of animes from this seasons that people hated or called terrible,  im weird like that

Anime on the other hand has the animation that gives you the ability to sit back and watch it instead of having to read through it, it's easier to get into it than it is to get into a written medium.

dunno why but 4 me its the contrary: no matter how boring a vn is i cant resist the urge to keep playin and playin. anime i can stall pretty easily.

implying vns are always original :makina:

at least anime has a future, as for vns... west might be a hope(just might). japan wont handle them for much long, the way things r going.

This wa sounding good until I realized bringing VNs over to the west could result in more shitty OELVNs and I really don't want that :marie:

those pages include lists of vn annual sales, 2013, 2014 and 2015, respectively. just take a look and ull see how the sales are decreasing. 2013 had three VNs more than 2k points, one close to 3k, and 9 more than 1k. 2014 had just one that sold more than 2k points, and 4 more than 1k. 2015 had just 5 passing 1k (not even one above 2k). So yea, i cant see japan holding much longer.

I don't think that'd be an option they'd take. The market here in the west is still niche and a lot of VN companies are xenophobic and won't have their company anywhere near the West.
