If anyone is interested in joining it, please post in this thread or send me a PM. In your post/message, please explain why you feel qualified to be a part of the episode. I will select users based on interest and who I feel would make an interesting guest during the recording session. If you are new to the podcast scene, don't worry. Recording is done in TeamSpeak (or Skype if users are unable to use and download the program), and each episode lasts around 1 hour in length. Topic information is listed below, in addition to possible questions that may come up during the cast. Finally, start times and cutoff times for volunteers are also listed below. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I look forward to some interesting volunteers! Information: Volunteer Cutoff Time: Closed Podcast Recording Time: 1:30am JST - August 22nd (4:30pm GMT/UTC - August 21st) Topic Information: A Take on Pornography: Effects of Lewd Content in 2D Animation and Visual Novels Possible topic questions for this episode include: Ignoring personal morals and the law, why do you believe it is more acceptable to discuss 2D pornographic preferences rather than real ones in real life? Porn plays a large part in the VN and animated industry (specifically from Japan). Do you think it is something we should avoid discussing, or do you feel that given the content it is only natural? If you are somebody that supports the discussion of porn with others, why do you feel comfortable doing so? If you are somebody that does not support discussion of porn with others, why do you feel uncomfortable doing so? It is said that sex sells. What do you think of this statement? Do you believe the VN industry has shifted a lot of its initial story based audience to a more sex desiring audience as time has gone on (i.e. = comparing 1990 to 2013)? If so, why do you think this? If you think VNs have always been the same, what changes (if any) have you noticed? Gender plays a large role in how comfortable sex discussions are, be it 2D or real life. Imagining that the content of porn being discussed caters to a gender's needs (i.e. = female eye candy vs. male eye candy), why do you think gender plays a role in how porn discussions play out in 2D animation? Given the future of VNs, do you think more or less porn will be implemented into the genre? If more, why? If less, what change do you think will spark this? Regardless of your stance, why do you think this is? If you support the release of nukige, why do you think story elements are implemented into the games when the actual content in question is porn? In addition, do you believe any sexual fetish is fair game when it comes to these types of games? If you don't support the release of nukige, what changes would you like to see made to their content if any? When it comes to OELVNs, a large majority of visual novel fans look at porn/ecchi games poorly (i.e. = Sakura Spirit), yet support major companies such as JAST and Mangagamer translating original Japanese nukige for the community. Why do you think this is? Regardless of your standpoint, what in your own words and opinion do you think the difference between eroge and nukige are? At the same time it's an opportunity to volunteer to talk about porn and not look weird while doing so. This is why I need more girlfriends. I realized while my guy friends put up with my weird 2D waifus when they could zone me out on voice comm it was okay but then when I tried to get them to play "weird Japanese porn games" with me it was not okay :c I'm just saying BFF status is based on who will play Starless with you (actually who will play Euphoria the second it comes out with you, but still). The latest it will be is tomorrow at the exact same time. I changed the time and title to reflect this change, and will still be accepting volunteers until the new cutoff time.
