Samurai Quest - A Very Low Budget MSPaint Visual Novel
Fiddle replied to Aniki's topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
Somebody suddenly shows up. Her expression indicates that she's already gotten a visual of the situation. -

The feint works. You deliver the roundhouse kick with devastating accuracy. However, you miscalculated how much damage you would do. The thief still has enough consciousness to dodge your followup naginata. Mimicking you, he activates his final form. -

You aim for his stiletto with your katana, but his tactical stance makes it too awkward to target him there. -

Just as the last cloth of dignity falls to the ground, the thief strikes with impatience. However, you dodge with newfound agility, enjoying the breeze along your genitals. It looks like you have time to attempt an attack. -

Kanra probably would have reacted differently, so you infer that this is just some old thief. Therefore, you decide that keeping your body armor on would be a good idea. Reminder: You have a katana, naginata, body armor, and 1300 yen. -

Mwahaha! One step closer to world domination! Continuing where we canonically ended... I'm going to ignore the suggestions that came after this image before because I need excuses to stall time now. -_- So continue like always. -
I'm going to translate these literally, because my interpretation of how computer things translate into English might be a little arbitrary. If you're using these buttons in a game, I recommend testing out to see what they do. Operate Button Display (the word "operate" is describing button, probably) Character Move (or remove, or whatever) Take Screenshot Standing (or current, or whatever) Picture Information Save Standing Picture Information Load Return to Initial Settings

To follow up on previous descriptions, there's a number of different vocaloids, all with their relatively unique voices. Hatsune Miku was the original, and shizzle became popular due to a few groups' productions. Supercell is a pretty swell example, and a number of their songs are quite well known. These days, there's plenty of more vocaloids, usually accompanying their own nuanced style of music.

What's your favourite 'Comedy Routine' music?
Fiddle replied to Mr Poltroon's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I agree that Grisaia's is great, as far as such tracks go. Rewrite's are also good, although different comedic situations seemed to use a number of tracks. According to the gallery, the name of the track that appears exclusively in those situations is "Silk Headdress". -
Welcome! Raphael is a swell name. EDIT: I somehow made a post here that was supposed to go into another topic >.<

Fret not, fellow lovers of the glorious Samurai Quest. In accordance with Aniki's moribund last wishes, I would gladly take it upon myself to continue the journey. My MS Paint skills are famed for their singularity, my productions adored for their magniloquence, as is evident in the following masterpiece: -
As mentioned, Kotarou is a great protagonist overall. His antics give the story its comedic side mostly during the common route. Yet, as I believe he once said, he gets serious when the situation requires it. His actions are reasonable enough that the player can put theirself in his place. The music, as is typical of Key, is above average. "Sprouting" is my favorite (the track that always plays in the morning). Then again, YO-SHI-NO is also good. -_-

Analogue: A Hate Story and Hate Plus are of overall good quality, and have more gameplay elements than the typical VN. Long Live the Queen is similarly interesting. As with most Steam games, however, it might be in your best interest to wait until they're on sale.

I am grateful you reminded me that this exists.

I found the common route of Rewrite to be humorous. Kotarou and Yoshino are the best comedic duo.

I probably shouldn't have chosen to watch Log Horizon while watching SAO2 as it airs. Now the latter seems worse to me.

Welcome! We can recommend you anything? Is Boku no Pico okay?

Darn you guys, being in time zones ahead of mine. Happy birthday, several people whom I recognize!

The only ones I've really played are of the Sono Hanabira series. Almost all of them are translated into English, I believe, and if yuri is in your interest, it's definitely a top choice.

He died of old age, obviously. Having so many birthdays comes at a cost. -
Thermae Romae is very unappreciated, in my opinion. Then, to reiterate a popular opinion, Cromartie High School is great. Also, if you're a native English speaker, it's one of few anime in which relatively many agree that the dub is better than the sub. If you watch it and like the type of humor it has, I recommend The Daily Life of High School Boys (Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou) and Detrioit Metal City.

I'm sorry for butting in despite not fully following along with the discussion in this thread, but I would like to point out something in response to the consistently mentioned point that religion or atheism causes wars and such. A war has been fought over some guy's ear.

Thank you for contributing to trap-loving kind. I'm more of a trap-liker, however. Anyway, welcome! In case you haven't found the cg for that game, you can find it here.

I'll try to minimize this post, and thus its controversiality. I currently pratice Roman Catholicism. As with most people, I didn't quite "choose" this religion, but have been a part of it all my life. Consequently, so as to counteract the narrow-mindedness that accompanies such circumstances, I want to be open to any other religion. The most appealing aspect that I would find in another religion is that which is meant to be central to all of them: morality. I might become associated with the Bahai Faith in the future, of my own volition. I respectfully refuse to answer those last two questions, for the benefit of Internetkind. -_-
