Hanako and Lily's routes would be my favourites. Though I can't decide between the two.

My favourite protagonist would probably be Hisao from Katawa Shoujo. He's a fun and likeable character who we can sympathise with yet admire given his handling of his situation. I actually related to him more than most protagonists because he wasn't as witty as most (didn't follow up every sentence with a quick joke) so following him didn't make me feel so bad about being so socially inept.

I just finished Kyou's route and god damn does this one not hold back any punches. never before have i been so invested in a protagonist's plight, so much so that in-between the tears i had to fight back i found myself subconsciously trying to find a solution in the vain hope that Tomoya would pick up on it.

What I found with Ageha's route was that I understood the plot as a whole but the individual pieces that made it up were nothing short of confusing. I always though Hotaru hung out with Aoi to give the teachers the impression that his time was now dedicated to girls rather then gliding, but if this thread is to be believed, i was way off.
