  1. Oh, I see. I wasn't entirely sure how things worked with ISPs. Thanks for clearing that up.
  2. If you use Comcast, Time Warner, or ATT, you might. But they usually won't do anything serious on the first offense. I use Brighthouse (Florida only) and they have not gotten on my case about torrenting at all. And even then, those 3 I mentioned probably won't care if the material you're downloading does not have origins in this country. I'd also suggest leaving Pirate Bay alone. But yeah, I've been torrenting for years and my ISP has not gotten on my case at all. I don't even use a proxy or VPN. But I actually would like more confirmation on Comcast. The area I'm moving to has Comcast instead of Brighthouse and I'm a bit worried on what to do with torrenting. Anyone have any suggestions? I've heard about Comcast throttling torrents too. I hope there are good alternatives where I'm moving to. I'll likely invest in a VPN if I can't find one.
  3. And here's my updated guide. Putting it under a spoiler due to massiveness. I'm really happy with how it turned out! I really do believe that structured gameplay is the way to go in Osu. Once you start getting in the grove of things, it does get seriously fun as compared to playing the usual way. Edit: Corrected math error in Ascend Method. I should probably avoid writing guides after a 10-hour work shift... Values like 10% and 20% will be changed to 1% and 2%.
  4. Granted, but the only way you're able to improve is by practicing excessively. Your fingers are bloodied to the point to where you will never be able to play guitar again. I wish there were better programs to read downloaded manga scans.
  5. That might have been the same thing for me and Fate/Zero. I liked it for what I got, but the ending didn't make enough sense to me and I couldn't appreciate it as much without. But once I finished Fate/stay night, I was able to get a lot more enjoyment from F/Z than I had initially. I didn't necessarily dislike F/Z either, but I really wasn't a fan of the series. But I did become a fan after re-watching it! Great! It's one of my faves.
  6. Yep! I'm getting there. Insanes are so much fun! Also, I'll be updating my guide tomorrow. About to go to sleep now. But yeah, my previous methods didn't really amount to anything more than farming and didn't have enough focus on completion. My new guide should cover most of those downfalls. It'll also offer a lot more flexibility and a wider range of difficulties, so there will be a lot less grinding to get PP. I'm still thinking up ways to work out the kinks, but it's much better than what I started off with.
  7. You and me both. I wanted to start the manga to see how it picks up from where the first season of the anime leaves off, but I never got around to it. Still, I'm hyped for the sequel! Also, I decided to trim my list down to free up some time, so here's what I'll be watching this season: Akame ga Kill! Aldnoah.Zero Ao Haru Ride Hanayamata Sword Art Online II Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei! Free!: Eternal Summer Continued from last season (2-cour series): Captain Earth That's about half of what I watched last season.
  8. First time completing an AR9 map today. These are pretty fun once you get use to them! That SB warms my heart. ^^ I don't think I've ever seen one with this many cute girls! This map is like honey syrup! :3
  9. (Well, fewer snakes would mean that fewer people would die from snake bites. I wouldn't mind losing eagles if it meant no flies. ^^) Granted, but copying and pasting information requires having an operating system put in your head. Your head's OS eventually succumbs to malware and you gradually lose the ability to function. I wish I could travel to Japan for free and spend my time there with Hanazawa Kana.
  10. Hello, Kazekage-kun. Would you mind going somewhere else for the night? It's getting a little dusty here.
  11. Granted. You are sent flying out of a canon and end up crashing into a girl in a way that results in you becoming victimized by other women as if you were the protagonist in an ecchi harem anime. I wish flies were extinct.
  12. I really should watch this some time. I know it's done by the same director who did .hack//Quantum, and that was one of the saddest I've seen from the franchise. Tachibana Masaki has talent when it comes to emotional storytelling in anime, and I couldn't have been happier with how Quantum turned out as a fan of .hack//. That episode 8. One of the most memorable moments in anime. ;_;
  13. Oh, I see. I thought the videos themselves had some kind of code that would allow them to show folder icons by themselves. I'm too lazy to apply those things manually, so I guess I'll just keep it at that. Well, that's another way to do it. Now that I think about it, you can even use a different browser to download from BBT in order to skip the login/logout deal. Since most websites use cookies to keep you logged in (BBT is included), you can just copy the url from a browser you're logged in on and paste it in a browser that you're not logged in on.
  14. I didn't know they had it on Netflix either. Wow, Netflix might actually be an okay source of anime now. I remember seeing Fate/Zero and Angel Beats added since my last visit, but I never thought they'd be able to get Madoka. I might have to try watching that with a friend! Edit: Also, I've been looking for an anime similar to NouCome. Surprisingly enough, shows like that are a rarity in anime. Not only was the comedy over the top and it never took itself seriously, it had an adorable heroine (Yukihira) that I just couldn't get enough of. When I last asked for something like this, I was given MM as a suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn't really live up to the same experience. There were a few good jokes here and there, but they felt tame for the most part and really repetitive (Noucome didn't rely excessively on running gags and I found it consistently enjoyable). Plus, the anime takes like a few episodes to develop one of the heroines (Arashiko), but they kind of neglect her in the later half (which is annoying as hell). Yukihira didn't see a lot of development, but at least they didn't tease the audience with something serious and not follow up on that. She's consistently adorable too. :3 But yeah, I really want to watch something that's as cute and over the top with its comedy as NouCome. Any suggestions? Cutesy romance is a must!
  15. That video has nothing but truth to it! Yeah, KCP has gotten a lot better. Only reason I didn't bring it up is because I almost forgot about it, lol. Back when I first started using codecs, I held off on using KCP because it was never being updated. But because it does use the same codecs that the guide suggests, it might actually be a good alternative. The codec pack causes problems for VNs? I might have to recommend against it if that's the case. The nightly build in the guide uses built-in LAV filters for video decoding, so there's no need to install that filter to your computer. And LAV filters are actually necessary to view fansub files nowadays. MPC-HC cannot decode 10-bit natively, so you will need that filter to watch fansub releases since they almost always use 10-bit. Yeah, I suppose that's true. I actually did have to use that at first to keep my ratio from being too low (you can download the torrent while logged off, then log in, re-download the .tor file, and it'd be like a freeleech), but I prefer BBT's search feature over a search engine. Not only that, but you can't download porn from that site without an account. That and it's nice to be able to track releases through RSS when you get power user status.
  16. That's one way to look at things, lol. Personally, I like to think that if it can be improved, improve it! Doesn't necessarily need a fix (at least not for me). It's not just VLC either, CCCP is just as annoying to me! I use to get really bad headaches over video compatibility. Either the sound won't work, I can't switch audio tracks, the subtitles won't load properly (like typesetting and whatnot), and sometimes the video tears excessively. It was especially prevalent for older anime since fansubbers couldn't encode for shit back then. Ever since I started using this, it's been nothing but smooth sailing in that area. The video quality was also a nice perk. Because I have a really nice 1080p monitor, I always try to milk out as much as I can from my video settings. DawnWolf, how do you get your folders to display like that? I didn't ever think you could do that. o.o And yeah, BakaBT and Nyaa are really nice to download from. Also, be careful with seeding on BBT. I mean, you should always seed your torrents no matter what, but it can be really easy to lose ratio on BBT since they only have batch files (and way too many people seeding).
  17. It's not that long. Should only take 5-10 minutes to get everything set up (Niyawa's guide is really simplistic compared to other playback guides). It's worth a small time investment to get rid of that awful player. It also plays mp3 and flac files really nicely if you decide to use it for music (especially if you decide to install reclock).
  18. That's weird. I'd just uninstall the game and delete every map I ever downloaded. That'd keep me from ever starting again indefinitely since it'd be annoying to re-download all the maps I have. Also, I'm just starting to do insanes now! I'll eventually get good enough to FC them, but this still feels pretty nice.
  19. Another VLC user? Sheesh. The only real reason I can see having VLC is to test compatibility with a video file. If you follow this guide, however, you shouldn't have to worry about compatibility issues at all (I've had problems with CCCP, but using individual codecs should work very nicely). I'd strongly recommend upgrading your player if you want to get the most you can from your anime.
  20. Bleh, VLC. I use MPC + madVR for playback. Can't get the same quality with anything else (seriously, madVR kicks ass). The differences are very noticeable when you have a high quality monitor.
  21. Damn, finally! I've been stuck at 754 for a while now and I was finally able to finish this off. Long songs are hard to keep a consistent run on. Edit: I've been meaning to ask for a little while, but why is it that when high ranking players ask to get banned when they stop playing Osu? Is it to give others a chance to rank a map, or is there something else? If I were ranked really high, I'd at least want to leave my account in tact just to leave my scores displayed, lol.
  22. Chata is a great singer

  23. I wouldn't say BlazBlue needed a rewrite. If you take the game's story into consideration, it'd be damn near impossible to properly adapt into an anime. However, it definitely could have used better animation. I wouldn't mind the short length and the storyline cuts at all if they at least made the fights better (that's all I expected from the series anyways).
