  1. Granted, but you blind yourself with the beauty of your own work and can no longer draw again. I wish I could make a living off the internet without having to do too much work.
  2. I'm mean, aren't I? ;D Granted, but your post is now stuck in a paradox due to the complexities of fulfilling that wish and you do not gain anything from it. I wish I could read books really fast and while taking in the contents of the writing.
  3. Granted. It is unfortunately from Akame ga Kill. Sorry~ I wish I had the best tasting ice cream in the world.
  4. I see what you mean. Alright, that clears things up for me a little. I read a few misleading comments a little while ago, so I wasn't sure what to expect. So I guess I'll just finish up on what's scanlated in the manga and pick up the anime afterwards. The manga's been pretty fun so far!
  5. I've decided to give Mekakucity Actors a shot. From what I understand, it seems like the manga has chapters that take place before and after the anime. So if I were to follow it chronologically, what chapters would I need to read?
  6. Granted, but you come to life in a buried coffin and shortly die again from starvation. I wish soda could hydrate you like water does.
  7. It's still not posting. Doing a Google image search pulled this up. Is this what you were trying to link? Try using hosts like imgur, they tend to have better results when hotlinking on forums. You can also use firefox addons like imgur uploader to quickly upload them to the host and then post that link here. It's really convenient.
  8. Say what you want about the onii-chan thing (I know, it aggravated me too), it was still the 2nd best written route in Hoshimemo. If it weren't for the touching family story and the important details covering the protagonist's past, I would have put it down as bad writing for the awkward romance. I usually like incest too, but it didn't work out that time. Incest does make sense when you think about it. Depending on the situation, there are individuals that can develop a complex and grow to love their relatives that way. It may not be as common depending on where you live, but some places have common cases of incest. There's even areas in the US where cousin incest is acceptable. And I think Chinami's brother complex is justified since her backstory explains her behavior.
  9. Granted, but you accidently poke yourself with it. I wish I could watch TV without commercials on any channel.
  10. Yeah, the majority of Hoshimemo was a struggle for me as well, but it was worth it for the final route. Unfortunately, you do have to play every route since it does contain bits and pieces of information that are relevant to the plot. But whatever you do, don't drop it! Just read it for 1 hour a day until you get to the parts you can read at greater lengths. It's a shame that the only good writing is in the only well-written routes are Chinami's route and the true route.
  11. I'm not sure where I'm at with streaming since I usually don't pay much attention to it, but I can probably do up to 140bpm. I only just recently started on maps with longer streams, so I'm still a little shaky with them, lol. Nice thing with key + click is that you can go really fast as compared to 2-key, but it's a little hard to control. I'm getting better at it though. I'm gonna prove Lewy that it's not a bad style! Why does life have to suck sometimes? Not gonna bother trying this again for 99%, but damn it!
  12. Oh god, that map is so long. I get tired just watching it. XD Once I get good enough, I can probably tackle it since endurance is one of my strong points.
  13. I get pumped up looking at top score replays of Can't Defeat Airman. I'm gonna FC that map one day!
  14. Unless you have top scores on all the hardest maps, there will always be others that are better than you at something. I don't let myself get down when I get thrashed on in multi-player, I use it as a motivation to get better. At least there's only 5,981 players ranked higher than you. I still have 71,128 ahead of me. ._. Been slopping out on accuracy lately, but I just recently brought it up a little with this last map.
  15. He's probably talking about Sign and could have been expecting more action from it. Sign is a little bit slower than the others as far as action goes, but it has a wonderful soundtrack, beautiful art quality, and the characters do have a significant amount of depth. If you're the type of person that enjoys analyzing characters, the conversations in .hack//Sign will most likely not bore you. The plot is also very good, but it's also incomplete since the storyline continues in the PS2 games. That's also why I suggest starting off with Quantum as it does have significantly improved pacing, gets very emotional, and it handles the mystery themes behind The World very well. Chronologically, it takes place after Roots/GU, so the storyline won't make perfect sense, but it'll still be a good introduction.
  16. The majority of otaku consider lolis to be any character that resembles a little girl, regardless of age. How else can we have loli teachers?
  17. I'd recommend the .hack// series. Since it's a 4-episode OVA, I'd suggest starting off with Quantum. And if you like what you got from that, try Sign and Roots as well. Granted, you won't get as much from the experience without playing the games, but it's still enjoyable without them. Stay away from Legend Of The Twilight though (worst series in the franchise). And if you ever become a die-hard fan of the series, you can get the full experience from following a certain time line. I had a list and reference links made beforehand, so I'll just go ahead and copy/paste it here. I'm not sure if this is the first video game anime ever done, but it is one of the biggest predecessors to series like SAO and Log Horizon. Has a very rich and expansive universe.
  18. You're right, I should probably narrow that down a little more. I can't remember where I saw it (Bing isn't pulling anything up for me either), but I did come across a survey stating that most women in the US are not into gay men having sex. In fact, there's even more women that prefer lesbian sex over gay men sex. And even gay men usually won't watch gay men porn. As for real life observations, I've only known two girls in high school that were into yaoi. One of them tricked me into thinking there was a girl in this one manga (my first experience with Japanese gender confusion). ._. However, I did also notice that MG has recently licensed more yaoi works. It's possible that the market for VNs is picking up for English-speaking fujoshi.
  19. Oh, right, almost forgot about EGS. I usually don't agree with their ratings. And it's okay, it happens.
  20. When it initially started airing, I went into Kotoura-san expecting a light-hearted rom-com series. It surprised the heck out of me with its emotional roller coaster on the first episode, but the rest of the series was very cute. Actually, I'm not sure if my heart would've be able to take any more episodes like the first one (it'd be Clannad Afterstory all over again), so that was actually a bit of a relief. Kotoura and Manabe were still a very cute pairing. :3 I was actually half expecting the series to not be as much of a tearjerker afterwards because of the way the drama was played out. Most series usually won't put everything it has into the opening episode. In order for the series to remain consistent with the drama, it has to build up for it and establish the characters and the premise a little more before throwing in the tearjerkers. Heck, the manga I read didn't even start off this strongly, so it was probably experimental marketing on the anime's part. Otherwise, the rest of the series was still very cute, it's just that the first episode felt a little out of place, lol.
  21. Actually, I was not aware of that mod at all. Damn, that's one hell of an ambitious project. o.O I love the ES modding community. <3 If fujoshi in the west were not rare enough as it is, the ones that read eroge are incredibly niche. Very possible that the majority of people that read DRAMAtical Murder were males reading it for the Nitro+ tag and giving it lower scores for the yaoi. That said, an 8.31 is actually really good. Were you hoping for it to make the top 10 on VNDB or something?
  22. Do what I did for the Fate route in FSN, read for one hour per day until it starts getting better. You won't burn out too easily and you'll keep a consistent pace with it. I haven't completely finished a single ES game. Unfortunately I won't be able to play Morrowind since I originally had an Xbox to play it (ah, the good ol' days), but I'll be buying the Anthology version eventually so I can get the chance to play it on PC. I didn't own a PC back then, so it'll be a good opportunity to play it on a different platform. That and I miss Morrowind, it's still my favorite in the ES franchise. I'll actually try to complete everything this time too. If the silhouettes were enough for ya, you're in for a ride for Alternative. Try to not go mental while reading it.
  23. I usually don't go for full color mangas like that, but the art in this one is good enough to make an exception. o.O The blond has good tastes.
