So,
As I have been delving more and more into this community, I thought it would be a good idea to introduce me, before I delve too far.
So, I'm Arcadeotic or just Arc, a VN-fanatic from the north. I have been lurking in this community for about a year, a little more than how much I have been playing VNs. But as I haven't really posted anything, that is kinda irrelevant. Anyhoo, how I started at this medium was watching Sakurasou Pet no Kanojo maybe, 1,5 years ago. Then i got into little more anime, then into manga, and then into Light Novels. I truly got into this community 11-ish months ago in the start of February, 2015. I know how many people start with easy, short Visual Novels and KS, but I started with, funnily enough, Princess Evangile. I was browsing Youtube, and I saw how some channel was playing PE. I watched an hour or two, and then right after bought it. Then I basically was locked in my room for 5-6 days. That's basically my origin.
Now it has been almost a year. And I have collected about 70 VNs, beaten over 45, learned Japanese decently enough and made myself a part of several communities.
I must say I'm happy for what I've gotten in under a year. And now I may try to grasp something even greater. Now that introductions are over, I can say, Thank you and I'm looking forward to our future patronage and collaboration. See you again very soon.

Confession: I saw my mom reading fifty shades of gray and my blood started to boil, so I thought "why not making her read something actually good?"
I re-installed saya no uta, recorded 1 hour and uploaded the video to youtube I cut before the first sex scene (nothing wrong with the first hour or so, not gore just pure good plot).  So she read it and this is what she said "I didn't like it, the protagonist kept complaining and whining about his life, it was really boring, I didn't understand much of it" 
Then I proceeded to give her the book back and went to my room...

In all seriousness, Thanks for doing so much to look out for this community Tay, if there's anything we mere mortals can do to help out then please let us know.

Acknowledge your past mistakes, but don't dwell on them. I don't know how difficult it is for you to motivate yourself, but the only way things will turn out well for you is if you work hard. I often find that some things in life are much easier to do when I research stuff. Try Googling "how to motivate yourself" and see if that helps at all. Actually, just looking up anything about neurology is pretty interesting. Or maybe I just like learning random things, lol. Still, give it a shot!
That's a normal reaction. Try spending more time with them. Unless you have a family of blockheads like mine who don't care enough to want to spend time with you, it's good to be with them. Studies have shown that kids and young adults who spend a lot of quality time with their family are generally happier and more successful in academics. Although if they spend a lot of time at their jobs and aren't available for you, then I guess it can't be helped. And don't feel bad that you haven't been around for them much in the past. I'm sure your parents and siblings would really appreciate the change you've made to be with them more. Cherish every moment you get with them.
Btw, I'm starting group therapy on the 12th this month. I have a good feeling that 2016 will be the 1st year I make major changes in my life. I've talked it over with my mom, and she's no longer concerned about me getting a license and affecting her driving insurance (still not sure why she was though, my mom makes so little sense sometimes). My 3 goals this year will be to get myself out of unemployment, get a license and start driving, and become self sufficient enough to get away from my mom without having to live with someone I probably shouldn't be with.

I kind of get this. I've had three uncles pass away this year, but because I rarely saw them, while I was really sad, I didn't cry at all. And yet some of the bad ends in visual novels I read managed to jerk tears out of me...

Confession: I only come here for Cyr and rain's happy stories at this point

I had a dream a while ago (don't even know how long), about everyone here on Fuwa. We were all on this spaceship or something and I decided we should have a party for some reason, I don't remember much, but I think we were fighting some kind of threat. At the end I think, Funya and Cyr got together for whatever reason, and I had a crush on Cyr too apparently so I was salty.
I had another dream about that same universe today, where Cyr and Funya weren't doing so well. That and we had to exterminate these rat-like things that had some sort of disease.
 
My dreams make no sense.

If nothing else, at least vote for Bernie Sanders. He's the only presidential candidate with an authentic character, and has an amazing track record to boot. He's been a strong advocate for the middle class, racial equality, military veterans, and the environment. Most importantly, he's the only candidate that spends more time talking about the issues our country faces than about himself and his proposals are very consistent with his past views (he doesn't change his mind in order to appeal to majority). He's not an establishment politician either; his success is entirely derived from how much support he gets from regular people. From what I understand, Vermont is very happy to have him as their senator.

I found it quite good - it's similar to the older Fallouts but beyond that there's some modern design polish with regards to the oddity system.  Sadly however it seems to be focused more around skill-based stuff rather than player choice with regards to roleplaying and narrative which makes me sad : <

I have a few ideas I might like to write out at sometime.  There's this one that would be absolutely absurd in my opinion, so I guess it's perfect.
The basic concept is that there's this artifact floating around the world, a magical artifact.  In fact, it's a magic hat.  When you pick it up and nobody's used it recently, it's just a piece of cloth, so you wrap it around your head.  Doing so activates the hat, which comes to life by becoming either the hat you most desire subconsciously.  It turns into said hat gains a personality that's concurrent with the hat you chose, and grants you powers befitting the lore behind said hat.  Oh, and you play as the hat, the different routes being different people who wear you.  It's silly but it could be fun, I think.

I would write a story about a fat bald man who accidentally swallowed the universe.

Confession:  I remember sending this video to rain when we were far apart.  And then, today, I re-watched it and it just made me feel kinda, "awww~" and smile because we're actually close now.

If you mean that picture from r/vns, it's sort of outdated and its authors think some changes should be done.
For example, while Baldr Sky is relatively easy, it's also insanely long. Reading the same thing for months when you're a beginner might just kill your enjoyment at some point. Subahibi is fairly easy too but you won't get all you can get out of it if you're only a beginner.
Harukuru and Eustia are really classic recommendations though.

If it's even possible to translate it, Dies Irae is probably the only one out there I'd consider important enough for me to put on a list like this.  It's the one VN out there I can say without a doubt will probably make me a better writer if I manage to read it.  As much as I'd like for it to get an English translation I'll probably end up having to learn Japanese for it eventually.  Especially once I reach the conclusion of this project since a future one I have in mind feels somewhat similar to Dies Irae in terms of tone.
