Code Geass is amazing...but has a very high problem : a lot of the second season is forgettable and quite bad, frankly, but it still has one of the best endings ever made.

Really? I like the 2nd season more than the first one. There's a lot more stuff happening

Quite frankly, when it comes to anime, steins;gate doesn't fill the 1st place, that place is reserved for Black Lagoon.

Thing is, i mostly rate purely on enjoyment. If something about the anime isn't outstandingly good or bad, then i don't consider it. I have rather many animes with 10/10 score, but Steins is the only one where they fit equal ammount of comedy and seriousness without making it bad. Which is not the main reason anyway, i'm just into timetravel sci-fi that much.

  3. I have to say, that the longer it takes you to finish an anime, the more dear it becomes to you. That's my case with Code Geass. It's been just so long since i sarted watching it with my brother (the reason why it takes so long) and now after a bunch of months when i am reaching the end of 2nd season, i feel like i'll cry when i finish it, just because there won't be anything else to look forward to.

So it seems that getting your anime done in one night is rather anticlimatic and might make the anime more forgetable.

That said, i think that Code Geass might endanger the number 1 anime spot, where i currently have Steins;Gate.

I wonder why i only joined this thread now. Guess I'll share my opinions when i finish it.

Imao amanes bad ending is the greatest bad end of all time

It would come down to what is supposed to be great. In case of "bad ending with a story", there are alot of things to consider. I myself haven't come across anything that would go to such lengths for just a bad ending (probably)

Manly picnic is the best ending the VN world could ever bestow upon us

    Don't worry too much.

For amane's route, try to binge the last few chapters of angelic howl and the end. It will make it a lot better. And please, please don't skip the bad endings. Use the walkthrough to get them first. They are unbelievably impactful.

IMO, Amane's bad ending was quite great, surely the best one of the bad endings, because the other ones get more or less cut short with something shitty there

It's not a bad route by itself, but it has some really strange moments which require a lot of suspension of disbelief. It's quite clear the author of that route didn't really know what Grisaia was supposed to be about, so this route looks a bit strange. And I repeat, it's not a bad route by itself. Actually, it's pretty good.

I think her route was actually pretty good, there were just a few unexpected details. The outcome was a little weird, though.

I liked Yumiko's route the most, but Michiru is best girl for me.

  7. So, i finished Sharin no Kuni. A pretty solid VN with great soundtrack, story and characters. As one, who has read G-senjou prior, i just can't not point out how similiar the VNs are (i was kinda expecting it anyway, since it's from Akabeisoft aswell). I still prefer G-senjou, though. Battle of wits between 2 archenemies with some mystery elements and in Sharin, a young man who struggles with the ideas of society are both really appealing to me, but the former is just what i love the most.

    Spoiler

I kinda think that they've gone a bit too far with the whole Maximum penalty thing. It was just a bit different than in G-senjou, because there's no way u could have figured this out. Just... very clever

Can't decide if Natsumi or the last spoiler heroine is the best :notlikemiya:

    I rated Sharin 9/10, 10/10 for G-senjou.

I bet you feel like shit now, huh? :(

Actually, i told him not to watch it, which was like a trigger for him to do it regardless of what i said.

He apparently watched 4 episodes, and is telling me that he has to see it through till the end :holo:
