  1. You don't need applocale for a lot of them anyways. I got Saya no Uta working without applocale on Windows 10. I just have the country permanently changed to Japan.
  2. It looks pretty interesting and if it's by FrontWing, I'll try it out if it ever gets translated into English.
  3. Once the beginning is over, the game starts getting really good.
  4. From what I remember from Tomoyo's route, I loved it. Tomoyo's one of my favorite heroines from Clannad, the other two being Kotomi and Kyou. I'm pretty impatient to read more about Kotomi and Kyou. However, after finishing Yukine's Route (by the way, I liked it), my next "stop" is Ryou. I'm gonna play all the routes anyways cause I can't ever leave a visual novel without completing every single route. The only reason I stopped reading Clannad was because I was getting bored with visual novels and decided to take a "little break" which lasted 7 months.
  5. Holy shit, I'd even go as far as to say the beginning is Cross Channel tier slow, I think it's cuz we as the reader just want to dive into Reiji's shit already, especially since they spend the first 5 seconds recapping KnS1, but nope, gotta spend the next half hour to worldcraft a new location and 10 side(?) charactersAt least Satsuki's interesting, though, what's this strange feeling I'm getting About the title screen BGM, the one after you get the true end added with the image of the title screen nearly made me cry so I'd have to say that's the best one so far.

  7. It's arguably the most hilarious part of any VN for me. The quotes that come out of that make me crack up every time.
  8. If this was a yaoi vn, you are definitely on the true ending route. I'm far from a yaoi fan, but I'd love to see a bromance route between Tomoya and Sunohara.
  9. Wow, I'm 2 years early Pretty hyped for KnS2, but will probably take a small reading break before starting to get over the events of KnS1 It took me a long time to get over that as well. It took me longer for Kara No Shoujo 2.
  10. You have a lot of guts in order to be able to do that. I couldn't get through all of it. The art makes it look interesting and then you're hit with scat and bestiality. To be honest, I'm playing Euphoria to see how bad it actually is when it comes to those scenes. I'll never complete Starless though.
  11. Thanks for the patch. The screen flipping issue got really annoying.
  12. Nope. The art style looks like shit and OELVNs usually are not of the greatest quality. I'll skip it.
  13. No I wont admit it because I am the one who watches those. Name me an ecchi show that is on the level of anime like Cowboy Bebop or Fullmetal Alchemist. Superb shows indeed, but... you can hardly pick up a waifu from them. From harem and ecchi shows it's much easier. ˇˇ All my waifus come from visual novels so I don't need to pick a waifu from a harem/ecchi show. No I wont admit it because I am the one who watches those. Name me an ecchi show that is on the level of anime like Cowboy Bebop or Fullmetal Alchemist. I think asking for an anime that's about fanservice to be on the same scale on what some would consider some of the greatest masterpieces of anime might be setting your scales a bit too high. It's a pretty unrealistic expectation to be frank. The Monogatari series is a good example of a great anime with a good story and ecchi elements, though I know some wouldn't consider it an ecchi series (MAL doesn't have an ecchi tag for it) it certainly has it's moments of fanservice. Edit: But overall fanservice in anime does send a really mixed message to a lot of western audiences. The west are such prudes. I forgot about that series. That's a pretty good series, but the fanservice always gets in the way of my enjoyment of the story most of the time. That's why I prefer it to stay in ecchi shows so I can go to that genre whenever I feel like watching something filled with fanservice.
  14. Elfen Lied. It's a good anime, but it's not in the top echelon of anime in my opinion.

  16. Grisaia has to be one of the most quotable visual novels out there. I was laughing my ass off every 5 minutes of the common route.
  17. Never really used this site to begin with. I usually use the most convenient one for what I need. Usually it's [], but it can be other sites as well.
  18. Really? It's selling that badly? I guess when people on steam think VNs, they think about the Sakura games and never give it a chance which is unfortunate.
  19. Same reason why a lot of ecchi anime get made. There are a lot of perverts who are fans of this medium. Plus, people like Noble playing them helps a lot with traffic. Don't dare to put my lovely ecchi animes and moeges at the same level with this shit. You have to admit there are a lot of generic ecchi shows out there giving anime a bad image. There are a few good ones but most are mediocre or bad. That mistake alone shows how much effort they put into the entire game.
  20. Cartagra is that short? Well, it was Innocent Grey's first VN if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately Doddler do not have any total time estimator in the savegames (maybe we should request him for his future ports?)... So I base this only on my rough playthrough. And as I completed it in 3 days... While I think max I played it per day was dunno, 4 hours, while usually max 3... Also most of time I was reading for h-scenes - there is really a lot of them and they are quite long - so if you're not really interested, you would do it even faster. Also Cartagra for PC looks sort of abrupt, it was quite more extended on PS2 (I believe 16! endings, new content, new CG, new intro, quite a shame this was never integrated into Mangagamer release)... Yeah. That'd be awesome to have. I usually get all the h scenes but I skip through the parts I've already gone through. I'm a completionist as well so the playthrough will probably be longer.
  21. Oh god, that game looks like complete shit. At least the Sakura games have the decency to have good art.

  23. Yeah. I was confused on where to put this thread so I decided to put it here. Based on your description of Comyu, it interests me even more. I love when visual novels delve into a singular topic because balancing a lot of themes and succeeding in doing that usually ends in failure. I didn't even know that Cartagra was a prequel to KnS until after I'd finished KnS 2 so it's too late for that. Apparently a lot of people like Kira Kira as well. It has to do with music and I hope it doesn't end up like how K On did things with nothing happening. Cartagra is that short? Well, it was Innocent Grey's first VN if I'm not mistaken.
  24. I recently finished Saya No Uta. I'm feeling a VN void and I need something to fill it and I have 3 visual novels in mind. Cartagra- I loved both Kara no Shoujo games and this one is the prequel to them. I've heard some good things about this VN as well. Kira Kira- my friend Shaun says that this is a pretty good VN and I have liked the few things I've played from Overdrive. Comyu- it looks like a lot of fun. The main heroine is pretty appealing to me as well.
  25. When I saw Sakura Dungeon, I immediately though sex dungeon, but a dungeon crawler would be more realistic. I'm fine with the Sakura games moving towards 18+ games cause then there's a reason to play them (or skip through the entirety of it). They'll always be shit when it comes to the story and that's never gonna change.
