  1. I think "Doujinshi" would work, yeah. There technically are non-ero doujinshi that are usually not that far off from doujinshi, so no need to prefix it even if ero doujinshi are probably much more commonly translated. If you want to be extremely, autistically correct then doujinshi once referred to independently published poetry rather than what people would think of now (there's a joke in SZS about this), but nobody's going to think of that first. For even higher level autism, consider that there's also ero manga, which is generally a series with more of a story arc. But you could probably just count this as either manga or hope they click other or whatever.

  2. Keeping the unironic response separate Translation corrector / TLC is usually "Translation checker" You combine the editor/proofreader checkbox. These are not the same, not even close! If they are close your project has problems! I realize a lot of projects are garbage but still! The "proofreader" position is usually known as QA/QC and generally also involves testing. -- From what language you did directly translate this from? -- even -> ever -- Flan Tanslation -- This is unironically a 'genre' of translation which gets forgotten a lot imo. Many of my friends translating eroge also have some ero doujinshi tl experience. Doujinshi is generally considered not the same as manga, and part of it is that you get a lot more oneshots and a lot less pages per release plus no expectation of releasing monthly new chapters etc. The scenes aren't that strongly connected in my experience though I'm not an expert -- Same sentence structure weirdness as 9 -- If you mean in Japanese for this question my answer changes radically. Additionally, this does nothing to count EVNs read -- Manga Manga did you forget LNs? lol

  4. Foreword: It's requested as extra review, so I'm pleased to tell what kind of masterpiece this game is. It does not mean I'm not reviewing Abandoner, though. Both games stood so close in the poll that I could not make my mind in any way. VNDB: https://vndb.org/v1085 Youtube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDJG1UQavYg&list=PLs4Gp5VU4Fv-73f48qzUpNIceFnIA8Mot Synopsis: The game revolves around the main character's 3 days repeating over and over again, where he is constantly being killed in the third day of the story (in various ways) but magically being brought back to life in the first day to repeat his 3 days. Your goal here is to solve the mystery behind the death of your sempai and also to find the identity of the murderer. Game type: Horror looped murder story with fantasy elements Character Design rating: 8/10 Protagonist rating: 7/10 Story rating: 8/10 Game quality: 6/10 Overall rating: 7/10 I only found one impression (1), and it's not very elaborate, so let's dissect things properly. 3days is a classic loop game, but for me it's the same kind of classic as To Heart for galge - boring and exhausting. The same loop of three days goes on for some 15 laps (maybe less if some alternative branches are skipped) and finishes with more and more elaborate ways of killing and sometimes raping. But the worst thing for me is that specific scene needs to be triggered in all of three heroine initial roues. I had to do much more loops, because I triggered only one Tamaki H scene while I needed to find another one for her item to show at the main screen indicating her route fully done. That being said, first half of 3days is of little interest to me. Watching the same events over and over and girls die over and over in different situations is not really what constitutes for fun pastime. However, the second part actually manages to present a favorable impression by cleverly mixing past, present and future Ryou stories. We get acquainted with the new charming heroine Miyu who has to bear all the positive intentions of the game alone just because she's the only heroine that we don't see dying miserably with torn apart body and face distorted with fear. Magic finally comes to the stage, and game turns into a fantasy battle from a pesky contemporary murder story. But I don't suffer from short memory, so horrible first part gets a huge evaluation penalty from me. There are also other negative factors. Basically, game is a royal story. That goes for both first and second part. The individual heroine endings take really like a few minutes astray from the main story. Another negative factor is poor CG representation and occasional lack of voicing. I can remember very few CG after playthrough, so it's constant character sprites hell. Also, I can't really stand Harry Potter, so second part is rather repulsive with all the magic domination and stuff. At the same time Tsukiko as the best starting heroine never receives her route in the main game and plays mostly a comical role. There are too many deficiencies to neglect in the overall evaluation. In the raw outcome, 3days is a masterpiece, but only thanks to the main concept and true route in the second part. It occupies a firm position among classics as one of grandfathers of loop visual novels. Tsukiko and later Miyu don't let the game to turn into total despair. But as to my recommendations... I'm not so sure. Game fails as a detective story and suffers a lot whenever it tries to advance romance. Would I really play this game if I knew that it'd total to magic battle? I'm pretty sure that I would not, although such turn of events was really unexpected. Game really feels old and lacking production quality. It's still a good game at the core, but who would want to get to the core when there are so many better quality stories nowadays.

  5. IF ROUTES Basics IF routes can only be done in Second Games. The requirements for entering the route must be completed before the Incident at Honno Temple (after the Incident at Honno Temple is triggered, the route is locked) A trick, is to create a save game that makes you can go all routes in the game is to make sure Hojo clan being the 5th clan with the seal being eliminated. You will need to able to conduct three moves in a turn to that. Firstly, make sure you have other elements for the other routes ready -- capture Yamamoto, make Kenshin/Ai your captain, etc -- attack Hojo clan normally, capture Ran, and let Souun to disappear. Conquer Hojo till the last fortress. At the beginning of a new turn with three moves, you have the opportunity to 1) enter Kenshin route immediately, 2) attack the last Hojo fortress (1st move), talk to Ran (2nd move), and enter dungeon (3rd move) [after recruiting Ran, there are two purple events to be done before the dungeon in Mamushi Oil Field is unlocked. You have to do the first one in a previous turn, otherwise the fifth gourd will be stolen before you can enter the dungeon] > Ran route, 3) Anything else after defeating the last Hojo fortress (Yamamoto or history route -- with Souun possibly joining you as a captain after Ran dies in the dungeon). Nanjo Ran Yamamoto Isoroku Uesegi Kenshin Kill the monkey Demon King ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GAME OBJECTIVES Basics Objectives are Rance's goals to achieve. They are not required to clear the game, but completing an objective rewards you with score points. Defeat Orochi Obtain Character Clears Defeat the Youkai King H 300 people Obtain the Six Great Treasures Obtain 30000 Troops Attribution This walkthrough is based on info attained on alicesoft.wikia.com with some adjustments made by me.
