Cyrillej1 Posted April 3, 2015 Share Posted April 3, 2015 I don't think the Fatal Frame games are as scary as the Resident Evil, Silent Hill games. Less blood.. unless you're stuck in scary rooms ... I think the parts that creeped me out the most were the doll room & story.. and blinded ghost. They're good though~ 2 is probably my favorite story of them. 3 is cool, since you get to play both in reality and in a dream.. and they start to get blurred together... it also has the main character from game1 playable in it. I can handle the puzzle survival horror games better than the violent weapons/shooting kind xD... I freak out when I run out of weapons and things are killing me.. blood/gore everywhere... And yeah they story of the fatal frames are really really good in comparison with resident evil which is really crappy Silent hill is the best imo in terms of plot and pretty much everything else but the truth is that the FF saga is the only one that stayed truth to its root and is still freaking awesome while RE and SH are utterly crap action games this days. Cyrillej1 Posted April 5, 2015 Share Posted April 5, 2015 I don't really find ghosts as scary as mutated monsters chasing after me or crawling creepily around, etc. -shudders- xD I mean it can be scary, but I find the zombie/monster/alien games scarier. Probably because they are more gory/bloody too. The ghosts don't look too scary sometimes since they look human at least. I kind of laughed at the one ghost that was pushing a shopping cart on top of the roof in Fatal Frame2, trying to run me over with it.. did you ever see that one? I admit, I lower the volume when I play these types of games though Btw, I found this translation of the novel the Japanese Fatal Frame movie is based off on for anyone interested. Deep Blue Posted April 5, 2015 Share Posted April 5, 2015 I remember that ghost and yeah it was a bit hilarious and there was another one running with a guy in a wheelchair it sounds creepy but it was not but the game is not scary because of the ghosts (which I admit I don't find them scary either) it's scary because of the ambiance in general, playing a FF with headphones in a dark room is scary, the sound effects and the music it's superb on the FF series side to side with the SH.
