And I have now lost all interest in this VN. I always assumed she had a route as she is listed as a main character on VNDB. Well there goes another potential VN.

"shrug" they made it very clear early on in the kickstarter. I admit it sucks, but still looks worthwhile imo. 'Sides, I'm guessing she has some sort of implied route, within either the general route or one of the other characters, as she does have at least one hscene.

We're basically stuck in limbo, waiting for some hacking work that needs to be done. TL and editing wise, everything is done, (just waiting on that last bit of QC and the game is ready for release text wise,) but the engine is causing some seriously pesky issues that we need to figure out how to deal with. This is delaying everything, sadly. Will make a post whenever we get past this hurdle. I know it sucks, but all we can really say for now is: wait a bit longer :wafuu:

Ah, I figured it was because of spring exams or something, I know it's that time of year for a lot of people. We're all grateful for the heads up though. :sachi:

  3. It's a polarizing topic. Personally I liked it, I had lots of good laughs from most of it. On the other hand, I hated Rewrites' attempt at humor. Matter of mood and taste when all is said and done.

If you don't initially like the premise or characters, you're likely in for a bad time - but if you like them, then all's good, right?

(keep in mind I read Fruit of Grisaia when it was still just a fanTL, so any official changes to the script go over my head - though I do own both the steam and the +18 version now)

lol... I found most Key games boring when I tried to go back and play them... a lot of it is because they've aged poorly.  I even found myself liking the anime better, in the case of Air.  Stuff I thought was funny years ago sometimes brought a smile to my face, but I didn't laugh hysterically... though I did cry at the right moments (it isn't a Key game if you don't cry).  All these years have made me immensely tired of games with tens of hours of slice-of-life, ahahaha.

Meh, it's a unavoidable side effect of immersing in any medium. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Even I've been affected by it - and I normally champion that "tropes are fine if they are done well". I've gotten bored with most VNs nowadays - but I cant really blame the writers, its my fault for reading/watching as much as I have, lol~

  5. My thoughts (route spoilers, obv)

    Spoiler

I liked her cuteness - and the occasional shift to a more serious personality (ie, the skin painting while under the stars).

I hadn't read a ton of VNs yet when i went through it, so I was likely more forgiving/accepting of how things were written - but I found myself emotionally invested in her route, esp. in the later half. Tbh it required serious amount of suspension of disbelief - but I respect the general message behind the arc: War doesn't care if you cute and innocent. Her endurance, and the symbolism of being able to hang on, b/c she knew someone was waiting for her, really struck a cord in me - regardless of any writing flaws. (Actually shed some tears during it - and I don't consider myself a overly-emotional kind of guy normally)

EDIT: @Kiriririri I hear you :sachi: In Ayakashibito, Suzu was my favorite character, but sadly her route was kind of weak imo.

  6. Ditto, grabbed a early bird pledge. Still not content with how SP uses Kickstarter - it doesn't exist to pad out profit margins - but that's just me (plus I'd be a hypocrite to make too much noise, since I took advantage of the low cost and all).

That or I'm just salty waiting for two other projects under their umbrella to actually deliver what I paid, over two years ago.

But I'll stop there, before this gets derailed into yet another war between the shills, moderates, and haters. :makina:

It isn't mystery, if that's what you are wondering.  It is a rather half-hearted effort at combining the chuunige and yurige genres in an all-ages package.  It lacks the impact and drama of a good chuunige, and as a yurige it comes across as somewhat lacking due to the events of the story.  Tbh, this game would have been much, much better if they'd included an interesting antagonist.  Unfortunately, the lack of a good antagonist is a fatal flaw in this VN, even moreso than the weak protagonist and vagueness of the setting.

Sougeki no Jaeger is basically a picture of everything that can possibly go wrong with a low-budget chuunige, lol.  It's short, it's boring, and the characters and story are less than enthralling.

Cant be any more half-heart/bland then Aoishiro - at least, I hope not. Aoishiro was "ok" but fits your description by a close margin.

I'll still give this a shot - the premise sound cool, and I like the idea of a yuri/chuuni mix - see how it goes I soppose.

As for who TLed this, I'm not 100% sure. But, it should be the same person/ people who did the first game, now working with SP.

As for the word censorship in H-scenes. Crude words for genitals gets censored in Japanese eroge most of the time, and the bleeps are literally in the audio files. They would have to record new lines for the western release to decensor those, and no one really cares whether you can hear them say cock or not. Are you sure the same specific words were said in both cases? Maybe you heard a less crude word in the first scene, then different ones in the second one.

I have not played the English Meikyuu grand route yet, and it has been a while since I played the Japanese one, but the crude word censorship should be the same the whole game. If it isn't then this is an inconsistency from Frontwing, not Sekai Project.

Its weird, i actually like the bleeps for cencored words, it addsa a certain something~

As for who TL'd it, it was def. koesti (though I'm sure he has other team members - if from the Tlwiki crew though, is anyone's guess.)

  9. must have been a connection issue while d/ling - I grabbed it off denpa pretty much 10 mins after they sent out the notice, and it all worked out fine.

I've had to contact Denpasoft in the past for issues - but they are fairly reliable in responding/helping with problems - so if you haven't already, doesn't hurt to drop them a line.

  10. I'm foolishly hoping it doesn't take another year for the final unrated version to come out, but I realize that asking a lot :makina:

I guess I'd be happier about Meikyuu unrated being done, if I was willing to read it now instead of when the third is ready (as I've heard Meikyuu has a cluiffhanger ending).

EDIT: actually, I wonder if the releases are staggered on purpose, to capatilze on sales, rather then compete with itself? (unrated versus steam) when I think about it, my steam copies unlocked during the springtime, and the unrated have been fall/winter~

I just saw the page with every girl's bio, some of them seem cool but others...

    Disability: Chronic Migraines
    Disability: Partial Blindness, PTSD

    Chronic migraines? really? :leecher:ptsd?

I dont want to judge them right now with little to no info but it kinda sounds like bs from the get go :(

Can't speak for chronic migraines, but am close to someone with advanced PTSD. It's pretty rough on them - everyone reacts differently to it - sometimes with ease, and sometimes with great trouble - it really depends on the depth of the trauma. she takes a lot of meds to keep aspects of it under control, and will likely never lead a completely "normal" life.
