Yeah, the translation is kinda bad, but I still love Kira*Kira. Nothing compared to maschine translations or Konosora though. Kira*Kira is easily one of my favorite VNs and yet I despise it a little at the same time.

I feel really uncomfortable and uneasy around spoken japanese, chinese and korean. That is also why I read all VNs with turned off voices and don't care, if a VN doesn't have voice acting in the first place. As to why... I have no idea. Talion has no dept and the audience doesn't care about his dead familily, because we only knew them for like 5 lines of dialogue. Dragon Age: Origins did that perfectly, because all the origin stories got you connected to the universe and sidecharacters (and origin based subplots). Just imagine shadow of mordor had a beginning similar to the human noble origin. The player would've been introduced to Talion better, by having him walk around the garrison, talk to the people there about whats going on (orcs, slaves, outcasts, why talion was stationed there, etc.), do some sparring with the son and of course stealth-kill the wife at some point (which was kinda cute, I liked that). Then, at night, the black hand and three dozen orcs attack the garrison, killing the everyone. -CUT. - AND GO: And now, each time we dig up one of those memory items, we get to walk around as Celebritybrumbrum in a gameplay segment, instead of watching a cutscene. Talking to the elven kings, talking to the wife and lastly talking to sauron and forging the rings. That way, we would've gotten the same amount of information, while deepening our connection to the plot and character. Creating a fitting and likeable environment for your game isn't rocketscience and everything I just typed came out of me being sleep-deprived and almost dead.

Usually, all the characters I like, which don't have routes, get them in some kind of sequel/fandisc/spin-off. But that isn't helping me at all, because nobody translates fandiscs or spin-offs. :/ But I'm still able to shake a few names out of my sleeve: Kira*Kira has Aki and... that Yakuza lady's daughter. I don't know if either of those was thought-out well enough to be a real character, but both are kinda cute. Then there's the protagonist's sister, Yuuko. Even without a route, atleast give her a sprite, I hate conversations with background art. Not in need of route but in need of an ending, is Midori from Little Busters. I like her and wish the split descision would lead into more text, instead of game over. Otherwise... Maybe give Yoru from Konosora her own route and move the double-twin route to the fandisc?
