  1. Sup Fuwa :rimu:

Since only a select few people post on the Fuwa Fight Club thread (:komari:), I decided to make a thread for Queen of MangaGamer. Now this could very well be a straight up April Fool's joke but I dearly hope not.

For those of you who are wondering what it is, according to an e-mail I received it's a doujin fighting game featuring heroines from VN's MangaGamer licensed. This could very well be the next best poverty game.

Here are the contents of the e-mail:

Do you have enough Stamina to fight all these eroge characters!? Its a battle to win your heart, and you are going to need to mash your joystick to victory.  Are you ready for a fight?

    http://www.mangagamer.org/qom2016/

Its Queen of MangaGamer 2016 - in collaboration with Watanabe Studio, we are bringing you all the best mechanics.

Blow-aways, pre-emptives counters, shielding - and even some more rare features players never use, like blocking!

We have worked with companies from all across the eroge spectrum to give you an awesome character selection - you can play as Alicesofts Haruka, tag team Risa & Miya, Higurashis Rena, or even our very own Comko!

In light of this announcement, all the games the characters are from have a sale today only! Check out our blog for more details!

Hell it looks to good to be true to me. Even in the event it is nothing more than an April Fool's joke, we still get some sales! :wafuu:

  2. I'm pushing for Discord but it doesn't seem to have to good a reception (cough @Mugi).

Oh this sounds like fun! I'm very bad at fighting games, though. I've only casually played SFII on SNES against my brother almost 10 years ago as well as a few hours of online SFV since release. I don't know anyone who likes these games so would be fun to talk about and play:)

EDIT: my steam url is https://steamcommunity.com/id/sadweebloser

I added you on Steam~ The people that are typically talking (Wink, Mugi, Chris, and Myself) play quite different games from each other but I guess we all have SF in common. If you want to hop in the Discord (only me and Wink atm) here is the invite (good for 24 hours): https://discord.gg/0tLKIxTCMKwn01hX

I'm actually looking forward to Melty Blood even though anime fighting games (other than my beloved Nitro+ which I don't play because it is ded) aren't my forte.

P.S Yo Muugster, throw Niku up on that OP when you got some time <3

    Oh and there's this: http://shoryuken.com/2016/03/31/guilty-gear-2-overture-appears-on-steam-out-of-nowhere/

  3. Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :conspiracy: Just finished Chapter 1, the ending was hype :sacchan:

I saw some people dis Okarin but I love him, and literally every other character that may or may not matter. Kurisu-tina, Ruka, Mayushii, Daru, Ferin, Moeka, love them. The banter between characters is hilarious, the art design is AMAZING, I love the VA's, and the story is really getting me pumped up. Crazy shit going down, super duper excited to see what is to come :wafuu:

  4. I have a Ghost in The Shell Manga as well as Hatsune Miku Mix. I used to have some Death Note, Naruto, and Vampire Hunter D but I sold them :__; Looked at bookdepository.com and saw they had DxD stuff so I might pick them up sometime. I would prefer the Japanese releases though.

Today I got my Goban, Goishi, and Goke in, woot. Going to a friends house tomorrow to play some Go :sachi:

There's a whole world of brilliant written fiction across a ton of genres. I very much dispute that visual mediums are inherently better for the vast majority of genres.

If it's an action oriented novel, or sometimes even manga, I would still enjoy them. It's just for VN's that's not what I want from them. I want the romance and the routes/my decisions to reflect not only the overall outcome of the story, but how the MC handles his/her romantic interests as well.

I'm surprised the inclusion or exclusion of romance is such an important factor for people.

For me there are better mediums for something action oriented. When I read a VN I typically go straight for romance, since that's what I want from them. Hell, I was even on the fence about readng Steins;Gate since I wasn't sure how much romance/flirtation there was. Figured I might as well watch it instead. I'm reading it now though but that's for a different topic.

Not much hype surrounding Babel :(

Well I was pretty hyped for it until I read the post above yours. I never expected Tokyo Babel to be strong in the romance department but hearing that it's that weak, plus 50 % of CG is action... eh. If I really wanted some action outside of meh vidya games, I have a boat load of martial arts movies, anime, and then the occasional Majikoi. If Tokyo Babel is anything like Ayakashibito then I'm sure I would enjoy it quite a lot. Even then though I skimmed through, maybe even skipped, a number of action CG's in Ayakashibito.

  8. The first 45 minutes of the game failed to grip me, it was interesting but I didn't feel like sitting down and reading. After last night I'm ~90 minutes in and my feelings towards S;G underwent a complete turnaround. The banter between the characters is very amusing (Luka <3), and the mystery is starting to grip me.

Definitely won't finish before the end of March but I can throw out some thoughts here and there.

  9. I have been a long term fan of the DxD light novel. Got into it after watching the first season some odd years ago, then I picked up the light novel. Was feeling pretty down last night and needed a pick me up, so I started DxD Born after a hiatus from the series. Starting the show back up makes me want to buy the light novels for collections sake and print out the English TL'd to re-read/catch up. The story is really entertaining for me plus I get some boobs, win win.

  10. Holy crap... Ryechu knows Korean...

I would love to learn Korean but I have my plate filled with Japanese right now. In a few months I was planning to take up Korean or Chinese on top of Japanese but that may be to much. Best of luck to your group! I'm always down for talks of k-pop if that ever comes up :)

  11. Trying out FFXIV again played it last back in 2014). Game looks amazing. I made an effort to look for the small details in the world and I was met by many, which put a smile on my face. Especially those little Easter eggs. Gameplay so far is what you would expect from an MMO. Traditional tab-targeting, global cool downs (<--- I'm a fan of this). Soundtrack is on the level of any other Final Fantasy in my recent memory and it help goes to show how much the devs care for the product. Unfortunately, MMO's can loose me very quickly (just like most everything else :vinty:) so we will see how far I go.

On another note I bought Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition to play with my comrades today. Made a Half-Elf Kensai with some pretty baller stats imo.

@Rooke I now can confidently say I know where you got your old profile picture from :sachi:

Oh, I Also beat Gunvolt for the 3DS today. Bought it two (?) weeks back and stalled at the last boss, gave it another go and was able to get past him. The game ended pretty well into the crossover for Gunvolt 2 which comes out soon IIRC.

\ :wafuu: / Yay! Now I have BlazBlue CP(on Steam)! Can I join the club? \ :wafuu: /

PS: It's a lie. I bought almost on first day off, but I did not have confidence to ask before(and still don't, but whatever).

So uhh you own BB now?

On a side note if you want to post any of your online ID's (Steam, PSN, etc.) Mugi will through them up on the OP.

Welcome to the fight club! :miyako:

I've bought all 3 games and yet I'm still on the first (birthright). I've been playing it for 100+ hours trying to max supports by chapter 16. Insane? Yes. I plan to play it again with the female Kamui/avatar for both birthright and conquest and eventually revelations. I've yet to pair anyone off but almost all supports are capable of S by now. I'm going through and watching each to collect them for the record keeper thing. The game is fun and of the few maps I've played of Conquest I'm sure the rest of the games will be as well.

Birthright I will likely be pairing my main character off with Scarlet no idea what I will be doing for the other games/genders or any of the other characters yet.

I've also bought the dlc map pack (and the second map pack is basically harvest scramble so I'll pick that up as well when it inevitably releases). I have been holding off on doing the beach rumble or whatever it's called simply because the premise sounds like something that would work best with Revelations. The museum dlc is essentially a rare item finder, the experience and gold dlc are pay to win on Conquest (but same as last time for the other two games...there if you want them), the awakening dlc is interesting for those who played Awakening because we find out where Fates takes place in the timeline. The DLC is decent so far but not really worth the cost of a second game although that could potentially change with the yet to be released dlc.

    Jeez...
