I just marathoned ReLife and that ending was bull shit. The show had such a charm to it that so many new shows lack for me. I've never watched anything like it. A 27 year old man sent back in High School to change himself for the better? Sure it's wierd but it made me think a lot about the things that are happening to me right now (not 27 btw ). Not to mention the character development was more or less spot on for the amount of episodes, though it needs a season two. That reason only is why the ending was bull shit, for some reason Chihayafuru's ending was fine with me, but I can't stand for this. I hope someone else has shared this rage in their hearts as well. Like hell even one or two more episodes would have been able to clear it up fuuuuuuu

Danganronpa is appealing like I said, but st the same time game-play, ugh.

Oh I'm fine with M17+, that's no biggy, was playing them since I was four I just don't want anything that is considered 18+ right off the bat (again patches are OK).

Since I haven't made a thread in some time, why not be another "recommend me" thread? Basically I'm going on a trip with family so I rather not play anything that is 18+. This factor along with it being in English, are the only factors I 100% care about. If the game can be patched later for 18+ hell even better, but far from mandatory. The VN's that caught some interest from me would be Muv-Luv, Tokyo Babel, VA-11 Hall-A, Root Double, Danganronpa 2, Gahkthun. I've heard good things about all of these but I can't say I'm leaning towards one over the other. In all honesty I rather read through Muv-Luv 18+, Tokyo Babel may have too much action for me, Danganronpa 2 would be cool since I liked the first, and the others I really don't know much about. The recommendations aren't restricted to the VN's listed above by any means. Thanks yo

Yeah they are different, IIRC. The Hiragana Asobi Karuta set is to help you learn Japanese and karuta but doesn't use the Hyakunin Isshu. While the set I bought doesn't bother to teach you things, you have to do that on your own. It uses the Hyakunin Isshu and is used in tournaments. The reason I bought mine was because Chihayafuru I also enjoy it since I get to learn more Japanese history which I'm doing right now anyways. Though my Japanese isn't good enough yet to really understand a whole lot (at least I get some) Honestly I would've liked to pick up both and use the Hiragana Asobi Karuta for now but oh well.

Great review Decay! Since this doesn't seem to be a must read until Eden comes out I have no qualms waiting for the 18+ version. This also lets me pick up a different VN in it's place. Was waiting for this review before deciding thanks~

The biggest push accomplished in regards to the Steam group was the Steam curator. Otherwise not much activity is seen in the group itself. Post in the comments on the Steam group and get a convo going if you can~ Most of my MP games are Blizzard games... Though I do have a healthy amount of others on Steam I am willing to play once in a while

Super interested in this request as well. Watched Usagi Drop a couple of weeks ago and it started me on the "josei" hype/marathon train. My little kitties and the Fragment one look interesting, considering buying them on my phone. No recommendations from me though, sad life.

I think I went over my history a few times in my year posts, though I can't remember so just gunna do a basic summary Had an idea of what visual novels were for a while but didn't dive in. Then I watched Oreimo which really piqued my interest in visual novels (I watched it for the incest). After finishing Oreimo I googled stuff and came upon Katawa Shoujo, which was on Fuwanovel at the time (my first introduction to Fuwanovel when it had muh torrents). After Katawa Shoujo I began to feel like visual novels brought out emotions that manga or anime weren't fully able to convey. Thus one thing led to another and now it's been two years. In my first year I went a lot harder on marathoning VN's and now I just read them whenever. @Eclipsed How do you have 5k posts? I think we joined around the same time... sad life.

Sharin no Kuni. I'm not going to argue with anyone whether or not it deserves the reception it does from the community, but I didn't have fun playing it. Can't really tell you why since I don't think to much about these things, it just didn't feel fun to me, so it wasn't.
