For anyone that is into the Metal Gear universe are these videos a good place to learn everything there is to know?: There is a movie for every game I believe and I just got MGS5. I want to know what I am getting into before starting the game with out spending 100+ hours playing through the previous games. Will this be a good enough substitute for the lore?

Damn, thanks for the reply! The only issue I have with going to local stores is that they lack the cases... I may just have to suck it up though and figure out how to print my own case art and slap it in a generic case. I browse the /r/Pokemon often and I have seen people complain about bootleg Pokemon games, so I am well aware!

I never thought of the choice system was a spoiler, my bad. I never really looked at my phone during gameplay unless I was alone or had to. Kurisu said it's rude to look at your phone while talking and I agreed, so I barely used it outaide experiements.

OK, just going to drop my thoughts on the first route I completed and then let this thread die. The route I ended up on was Rumiho's and I really don't know exactly how. The whole time I was playing all the events flowed near perfect (not using a guide), and I didn't even know I was going towards Rumiho's route until the last 30 (?) minutes. That may sound like a bad thing, but it was super awesome. Steins;Gate was able to transition so smoothly between everything that happened in the game it didn't even feel out of place. The choice system is what really interests me in S;G. I wasn't sure (still not) what the choices even were for a while. I'm led to believe when you answer your phone/look at it, and how you reply are the choices. Which is freakin' awesome. It's such a subtle way to implement choices into S;G and added a whole other layer to the experience. I big like the CG's as well, the art style is like nothing else I have seen in a VN and really stands out in a good way. I big like Steins;Gate

Just finished my top 10 must buy games for the DS, PSP, Wii, and PS3. Many of them are in the top percentile on Metacritic and then some are personal choices. The issue I have come to is where do I start? Some games are $90 straight off amazon, cheaper if I can find them on eBay (though I want them in higher quality condition - new), and then much cheaper at GameStop. There is also the cheap, but amazing games, anywhere from $5 - 20. So, which spectrum should I start with? High (41+) and work my way down to mid tier (21 - 40), and finish it with the cheapies (20 - below). Or, maybe the opposite would be better? Perhaps, just buying things in what ever order works as well (though I like my lists to be organized). In case anyone was wondering what games I am going to be checking off my list: The reason why I wanted to get the "top 10" (not necessarily my personal opinion) is to have a solid stepping stone to start my collection of with. Every game I do have interest in and the others that were rated higher, but didn't interest me got scraped. So, "buying what I like" isn't an issue here. Also, if anyone does have one of the higher priced games and is interested in selling it for something less than $90 (looking at you Advanced Wars) then hit me up~

I have two new items coming in from the Glorious Nippon: I really wanted to get the Slim Saber tapestry but I couldn't find it anywhere... so in the end I settled with Rin Then for the Guilty Crown book I wanted to get more bang for my buck with shipping from Tenso, so I threw it on. Plus it's Guilty Crown and I need to buy everything related to it so

I suppose so.. but it doesn't fuck with my mind the same way. When something is given a score/stars it goes to the % based thinking, anything under 70% is shit. "Buy, Rent, Pass" for me let's me make a better personal judgement.

I vote for the removal of the point/star system. The way it is now I personally can't help but think anything lower than a 7 is absolute trash, and a 7 is barely passing (applies to all industries). When reviewers do things like "Buy, Rent, Pass, etc" kind of things I think it is a much better way to approach. That way you can just give your honest opinions, along side facts, with out the need for scoring (which fucks with the way I buy things).

Yo, reviving this thread cuz I don't feel like my question is big enough for it's own thread. Today I got a Guilty Crown wall scroll in with just the scroll/fabric, no plastic tubes and rope to hang it on my wall. The thing is really large 31 x 43" and I'm not sure of how to actually go about hanging it up now... If anyone has ideas throw them my way! It's greatly appreciated.

Picked up Castlevania: OoE today, definitely do not regret it. Also trying to get Castlevania: Judgement tomorrow (LOL).

I listen to rap daily, including Korean/Japanese rap. Some of my favorite artists are Okasian (part of The Cohort), J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Park, Jin (only a few of his songs), and Dumbfounded to name a few. On the note of some rap getting a bad rap because of "fuck bitches get money", I find that those songs have their place as well, the only unfortunate thing is they seem to get more lime light. It's fun to listen to them because it gets you hyped and they can have a good beat, if I want something deeper I am more than capable enough to find it. I also like finding remixes and things like that.
