We steal other peoples traditions and claim them as our own.
So much truth...
People from all over the world immigrate to the United States and bring their traditions with them (or they used to, anyway). I'm not sure what you mean by 'we claim them as our own." Like, if our culture embraces a certain tradition? Is that a bad thing?

Hi i have a thing for purple hair + eyes
Request: Signature
Character: Princess Evangile's Mitsuki
Render: Don't have one but here's a CG:
Typography: Tear of the Moon
Other: Add lots of purple sparklies or something
I know Kurokusari said they would make something for you, but I just wanted to try my hand at it. Just for fun. If you would rather wait for Kurokusari to make one for you, though, that's fine.
I'm always nervous about making things for other people. I know what I like, but not always what they like. But I try.

I'm from the US. We have a strong tradition of freedom here signified in the words of the US Declaration of Independence:
All men (and only men, but not African men) are created equal. We have a right to Life (except if drafted into the army), Liberty (except when others disagree with you), and the pursuit of Happiness (except if you're a repressed minority).
In addition, we enjoy unparalleled freedom of expression and as a culture we're strongly opposed to censorship in all its forms.
We believe in democracy and the right for the people to decide their own government, both at home and abroad.
We believe that America is a model for democracy everywhere, and that other nations should follow our example.
American, and proud of it.
Oh man... I really feel like the scum of the earth now. I'm white, male, and American. How awful...

Hey, welcome to the forums. I would recommend taking a look at the weekly "Threads you should check out" blog post to find some interesting discussions.

Natsukage from the Air soundtrack is one of my favorites.
http://sperion.web.fc2.com/main.html#score_anime <- pdf is on that page, about 8 titles down, first song under Air.

I don't remember exactly which episode it was, but all I can think of is that one episode of Welcome to the NHK. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. Super amazing quality all around.

I actually really liked the episode. I honestly think everyone did a good job. Don't worry about it, guys. You're being to hard on yourselves.

I'd like to step in from the sideline and say a few things.
It makes me really sad to see how this whole thing unfolded. Was it really necessary to call Fuwanovel a sewage full of turd? Why wasn't this addressed in private message, instead of making a thread that was absolutely guaranteed to blow up in to a fight? Really, there was no reason why this couldn't have been handled in private between the offenders and staff. If the OPs were made aware of somebody being offended by their threads, I'm sure they would have apologized and this whole incident could have easily been avoided. The staff could have made a PSA reminding people about the rules of the forums, and how Fuwa prides itself in being a welcoming community for everyone, so it's important to think about others before posting something like that. The Fuwans would understand. Instead we have 7 pages of arguing over this supposed "sexism" that really didn't need to happen. Saying that you like butts or breasts isn't sexism, by the way. But I can absolutely understand it making people uncomfortable. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I mean, I'm not exactly comfortable talking about sexual stuff. But, looking back at this thread... I don't really see the point. A few members made mistakes. They got carried away. Threads got deleted and warnings were probably issued. It was done. Over. But the angry reaction to all of this really just did it for me. I know it sounds immature, but I was legitimately upset to the point where I just wanted to leave Fuwa (and I wasn't even involved in any way!). The most important thing to me is I really hope this incident didn't create more divides than there already are in the community, but I can't help but think it did.
I guess that's it. There's a reason why I don't normally jump in to these heated debates over forum policy and stuff. I basically try to avoid confrontation and arguing at all costs. Not to mention that writing isn't really my strong suit, so I have trouble getting my feelings into words. That's it, though. I just wanted to say a few things.I know I'm late to the thread, but I was waiting for everything to slow down before I said anything.

They've passed all of their initial stretch goals and are now adding new ones. This Hype Train doesn't have brakes, boys.

(I'm adding members lounge because there is no differece between it and General discussion the way it is currently used)
Maybe this is more of an issue of defining clean lines between what can be in Members' Lounge and what can not, and make sure it is enforced, then. I'll admit that I do sometime see threads in there where I think "shouldn't that be somewhere else instead?" - Maybe that's just me.

Remember Nuts & Bolts? Not everything Rare touched was gold.
I think a lot changed after Rare was bought by Microsoft.
Maybe it didn't. I don't know the whole story. It just makes me feel better if I can blame it on Microsoft.

Trying not to get too worked up until I see some actual gameplay footage and stuff, but still...

I've been hoping to improve the video versions of the podcast that get uploaded to Youtube for this revival of the podcast. If somebody wants to help me with that in the form of spiffy graphics and nice music, that would be cool. Or just throw some suggestions out there on what I can do to make them better.

I would have been excited about this back in Summer of 2013, but I just can't seem to care about AoT these days.

We now turn to Nosebleed to enlighten us on what it's like to be a girl. Take it away, Nosey.

Thanks for the update. I was just getting a little worried about the status of the project after not being able to access the website for a long time. Life gets busy, and people need breaks, but as long as the project is still alive that's good enough for me.

I haven't been able to access the ElevatorTL website for a few weeks now. Any idea what's going on?
