  1. After seeing reactions about the altered PS4 version of Aokana, PQube are apparently conducting a survey about censored releases. No idea if it's going to make any difference in the end, but I'm at least glad they're not just ignoring the issue. https://mobile.twitter.com/PQubeGames/status/1273897834488778755 As of right now, only 16.8% are willing to buy the censored version, and the rest will either buy the game on a different platform or not at all.
  2. If licensing fees for the voice actor of the protagonist is the only thing stopping them from releasing it in Europe, shouldn't it be really easy to solve by just removing those voiced lines from the game? I imagine that would be preferable to not releasing the game at all, both for them and for the European consumers.
  3. Honestly, although a bitter pill to swallow, it would be easier to accept if they at least made a comment on why exactly they're geoblocking Adabana but not ATRI. The gaming industry already has a history of not releasing certain games in certain regions due to licensing issues and whatnot, but if that's the case here, they should make that clear rather than just banning games seemingly at random and then leaving us completely out of the loop with no explanation.
  4. Yeah, I've checked there too without finding anything. I've tried the Steam directory, Documents, ProgramData, and AppData and its subfolders. Either it's in some other location that I don't know about, or it's stored under some obscure name with no mention of the developer, publisher or game title.
  5. I've made a zip for all the smaller files in the game directory (Steam/steamapps/common/ATRI -My Dear Moments-), so you can try that then. The file's here. If that doesn't work, I'm all out of ideas. There's a Frontwing folder in AppData too, but there's no Atri subfolder in there, just a bunch of other Frontwing games I own.
  6. Well, I've uploaded those three files I found in AppData/Roaming/Aniplex/ATRI-MyDearMoments- to my Dropbox, since that seems to be the only folder containing a file with the word "save" in the title. You can grab the zip here, put it in the same directory and see if it works.
  7. Yeah, I've already checked there and can't find anything that seems clearly related to save files.
  8. Well, I've made a save after the OP that I could share with you, but I have no idea where the saves are actually located. They don't seem to be in the Steam folder. I found three files (atri-mydearmoments-.cfu, data_anchor.ksd and savecheck) in AppData/Roaming/Aniplex/ATRI-MyDearMoments- but I'm not sure if that's it either. At the very least, I haven't been able to find any individual save files, but maybe they're all part of a single larger file. Any idea where to go from here?
  9. Since there's no Higurashi for me this week, although originally averse due to the whole geoblocking debacle, I ended up buying ATRI as soon as it was released and will devote this weekend to that and Persona 4 Golden. I'm barely an hour into it so far, but my first impressions are excellent. The music, art and voice work are all nice, and the setting and premise for the story is pretty interesting. More than anything, there's something about the general ambience of the game that I can't quite put my finger on, but it's making me feel like this is going to be a great read.
  10. I won't feel the least bit bad about picking Adabana up from some torrent site instead, since that is literally the only way for me to play it. I'd buy it if I could, but they're kinda forcing my hand here.
  11. The Switch version will be completely uncensored too, as far as I know. (Well, aside from removal of the 18+ content, obviously.) It's kinda funny how it's Sony who goes to town with the ban hammer nowadays. Nintendo used to censor products for the sake of aiming for a younger audience, while Sony was trying to brand PlayStation a mature platform, but now the roles are reversed, with several games being released uncut for Switch while the PS4 versions are censored to some extent.
  12. Apparently, the English PS4 version of Aokana, which is set to release in August, will receive additional censorship compared to the PC, Switch and Japanese PS4 version. As far as I know, there's been no clarification as to what has been altered or removed.
  13. There's an article from Siliconera five years ago, but I can't find anything else about the announcement. It's probably safe to say that it's going to take quite a while for Mangagamer to localize Rei, if they actually do it.
  14. Well, if you recommend reading it, I might as well do so! It's not like putting off Umineko for a few hours more is going to kill me (I hope )
  15. Is it a quick read? After reading the other chapters with the 07th mods applied, I'm not sure I'd be able to endure Ryuukishi07's own artwork for more than a couple of hours.
  16. I'm very interested in this for the same reasons you are, but I have to say that I'm also somewhat averse to buying it, because Adabana, which will be released on the same day by the same publisher, is still geoblocked in Europe with, to my knowledge, no comments from ANIPLEX as to why. I wonder if it's futile optimism to hope that they'd unblock Adabana if the ATRI sales are good enough.
  17. That’s too bad, but waiting a couple of weeks shouldn’t be that rough, since Persona 4 Golden, one of my all time favorites, just released on Steam!
  18. Nope! I've never checked out their channel. I guess I'll find out more about what that entails in the near future then! Unless it's something that's revealed early on, like how you learn more or less immediately when Higurashi takes place, I think I'd rather not know. Thus, I'm avoiding that particular spoiler box. Anyway, if the mod for chapter 8 of Higurashi is released this weekend, like I hope, the plan is to get started on Umineko as soon as I finish that. Not sure if I'll end up writing impressions and theories for every part like I did with Higurashi, but it wouldn't surprise me if I get the urge to!
  19. Just finished chapter 7 of Higurashi, somewhat later than expected due to me being pretty busy this past weekend. As of right now, the 07th mod for Chapter 8 has yet to be released. The previous ones have been completed roughly a month after the release of the chapters themselves, and if that's the case this time as well, I'm still on schedule to read that chapter this coming weekend. Otherwise, I'll have to put off reading it until the mod is released.
  20. Ah, yeah, I had forgotten about that part! Doing all of this should be enough to move on.
  21. I'm pretty sure it's working as intended, even if it doesn't seem so right now. The same thing happened to me, and I was able to move on eventually. Just
  22. I think you're at the point where you should do what I mentioned in my previous post. Basically, you're supposed to
  23. In any case, it isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. These are really just my spontaneous thoughts right after finishing Chapter 6, and they're all based on assumptions and information I was provided there. It isn't unlikely that my opinion will change one way or the other once I get some perspective on things. I still have two chapters to go and I expect that quite a few things will have been turned on their head by the time I'm done.
