  1. I think I'm at the end of chapter 2, wow the common route ends at 7! yay, looks like i'll be reading this for awhile . How many chapters are there btw? for the 4 routes.
  2. That's fine, wasn't expecting any ichaicha anyway, seeing how the game appears to be. I wouldn't mind a Tokyo Babel 'feel' to the romance element [loved that vn]. You mentioning a Shakespearean romance makes me a tad bit wary though! I sense potential sadness . Thanks for the clarification .
  3. Thanks I've been wondering if the H-scenes added much weight to the story besides humour. I'll just read the all ages version then and check out the H-scenes when it gets released. Btw, just curious, but do the routes have any romance in them. There weren't any tags on vndb. Wow you're going to read it twice in the space of two months? Man i'm getting more excited to read it now if people are willing to read it twice in such a short amount of time.
  4. Oh okay, I guess I'll just start with Amantes then. Thanks for all the info mate . To anyone that's read Dies Irae already, do drop some knowledge about the differences and importance of scenes from the two versions if you know of them. Please and thank you! Ps: without spoilers of course!
  5. Okay, so I'm guessing that you've already read Dies. Do you think that the original H-scenes are important to the story, or, the scenes that replace them? Which adds to character development? What do each side offer? Like Narcosis mentioned, is it 'important' scenes with the all ages version and bonding between characters in the H version? I know it may sound like a silly question, but I realize with Vns that H-scenes can sometimes add a different dimension to characters, along with emotional bonding and communication. You get a different kind of understand of them, if written well. Not just porn.
  6. But Derg, So according to what Narcosis said, the 18+ content can't be fused with the Amantes version because the routes differ. So does that mean that the H patched version with have Acta est as a separate choice? The 18+ stuff is supposed to be on 4:3 and Amantes is supposed to be on 16:9, the version aren't fused together right? So essentially they are still two separate games versions [just packaged into 1] , its just that you now can choose which version to play. Do correct me if i'm wrong, I mean thing could have changed since then and I may have missed out on some announcement about the versions.
  7. Btw why is Dies being released in two parts at the same time and not just one whole part? also, Amantes is the most complete version of the game right? [as in more elements that flesh out the story] or does the 18+ patch add anything to the story besides H? If so i probably won't wait for the patch and just start on Amantes when its out.
  8. It is our right as consumers of visual novels to discuss and point out the level of quality of the product. I personally don't have the mentality that, "hey at least i can buy a VN even if the quality isn't up to par". That's not right for me, I mean if the translation isn't smooth and reading it may prove to be annoying, i appreciate it when people point it out with examples. I can then choose not to buy it and buy something else instead. I don't need to learn Japanese just because I'm not satisfied with the translation quality done by companies that are supposed to specialise in translation. Its a new time for Vns in the west now, there are many available for people to pick and choose. I've got over 30 vns in my backlog that i may read when i have the time. Honestly i'm not interested in learning Japanese right now and am fine with just picking up the Vns already available or will be coming soon. I mean, mikandi had like a year to translate the game and polish it up. They aren't creating the game, they're translating it. I think a year is ample time to get it to the best possible quality by apparent professionals. If this was a fan translation, hey take years if you want. You're doing it on your own time, you didn't ask for anyone's money to do it. But if you're a professional then people are going to have high expectations for quality. I've read hundreds of books in my time and I don't think i've ever had issues with books not being proofread properly. It really shocked me when i first starting reading visual novels, how official translations done by professionals can have so many errors that have been pointed out and never addressed or edited. Like its just an accepted fact that just because there aren't many Vns out there, they can just cut corners with releases and people will just go "oh well, it can't be helped, we don't have much of a choice anyway...". Its a sad thing to see. Visual novel companies should endeavour to release products of the highest quality and translations that are honest and accurate to the meaning of the original scripts. It is their duty as professionals and it is also their responsibility to consumers and the creators of those games.
  9. Huh what do you mean!? please don't tell me this game has some magical power transfer through pee or something. Honestly i didn't research much about Libra, I thought it's some chuuni game with vampires. Roughly how often do these scenes pop up? does it only occur during h-scenes?
  10. I think if they're transparent about whats going on, some people may understand. They said that the game will be released on the 16th, then on that very day they say that it will be postponed because of that steam thing. I don't think they suddenly up and realised that "hey, we need to get that steam thing done" on the very day they're supposed to release the game. They could have mentioned it earlier, that the game may be postponed. Then they pretty much just post pictures and mention that it's coming on soon, with a lot to discuss, also regarding the 18 plus version. Besides that they've been silent about what exactly is going on. They should have at least updated their kickstarter page with a notice by now. Initially i thought i'll get the game on the release date and try it out before Dies Irae comes out but now i'll probably just wait and see if they make improvements if the translation is in fact really that bad. I'm actually kind of glad now that I didn't buy it first lol, not that i was affected by this whole delay business since i'm not heavily invested in it. Just mentioning what i noticed. If it turns out to be as bad as decay mentioned, then the people that supported them on kickstarter may feel really hurt by it. Ps: I'm sure Dies translation will be really great considering the people that have been working on it. Looking forward to the read.
  11. Black hole sun Won't you come And wash away the rain? and this: Of the top of my head, two track that i liked out of many. Man I loved Soundgarden and really liked Audioslave. He was a good rock vocalist, really got the emotions of the lyrics across well. I listened to them so much back when i was a teenager till i became a young adult. Those years where you're raw, and rock and grunge just explodes in your chest as you sing out those songs [horribly] with your mates or your lonesome. Through all those raging emotions that comes with life, friendships, love, breakups, failures, successes etc. Chris Cornell's music was definitely apart of those memories. Don't listen to the hard sad stuff too much now [on and off], but his music would be in my playlist always, and i'm sure for many other people that enjoyed his music, hence he lives on! I'm thankful for the music and the memories, but honestly i don't get affected by celebrities passing since i don't know know them outside the works they create. I usually just think its a sad thing to read about anyone passing unnaturally [suicide, war, sickness etc] and hope they rest in peace. People will remember them through their work and that's already a great way to honour them i think. Ps: I don't think you're sappy mate, you connected to them in a special way and you're sad about it. Nothing wrong with that, i think its sweet. Thanks for the headsup [i didn't know] and allowing me to relive the sweet memories of my youth for a moment :).
  12. Yeah you're right, thanks for the info but i already 100% the game . Really fun gameplay.
  13. Great, thanks for the info. Ps: Tatanka reminds me of dances in wolves where Kevin Costner acts like a bison and the Indians think he's crazy for a second . It was a good scene.
  14. To readers that have completed a few routes, are the stories sad or happy? I'm looking to read something happy, don't mind dramatic events as long as it ends reasonably well. So what kind of stories does it tell? cheers
  15. Hey guys, I'm on rance6 now and at the point where capture magic becomes available. I was just wondering how far along in the game i'm at excluding post game, percentage wise [I know i can see the bar on the save file but i don't know if it takes into account all the side quests that become available after every [star] mission. I ask because i want to figure out my pacing since i'm just grinding everyones out and farming orbs to increase level caps and fr, and upgrade the equipment. Also, about the museum and s items. Can you only do the museum once? or can you repeat it till you get the S class items for multiple people that are there [like patton and caloria?]. I just did a test run and managed to get out with the large (m) weapon egg but when i got back i couldn't get back into the lower floor again so i just reloaded to before i went there. Thanks for the info!
  16. Well, I just got done with the game and i noticed that i'm missing one cg in the etc... section. It's the 3rd one from the left, I think its the one with Mikoto wearing a bunny outfit. Does anyone remember where is that particular scene in the VN? Thanks for the help!
  17. Well I think you did a good job explaining it without spoilers. I'll take your advice and wait for the original then. Since i didn't read the meikyuu yet, i'll just wait a bit longer. Thanks for the input man.
  18. Well I think Rakuen will be coming out soon according to Sekai though I think the 18+ version would probably come out a few months later. Awhile ago I think @Dergonu mentioned that the 18+ version has crucial information to the storyline [correct me if i'm wrong Derg, i think it was you ]. I got the 18+ version of Meikyuu too, but i haven't read it yet as i'm waiting for Rakuen to come out before I start. My questions are: How important are the 18+ scenes? [no spoilers please]. Does it connect to the revelations of Rakuen greatly or is it just pure H, In what way is it connected? Also, would is Sekai replacing those scenes with equally added content that would clear whatever lost information? [in case anyone has already asked them]. Thanks in advance! Ps: Not trying to discuss and/or argue over how good or bad 18+ or no 18+ is, and i'm not complaining over having to wait for the different versions. I just have that questions about content is all.
  19. Yes i knew that it was for the Japanese release, it was stated there clearly. I could also see the TBA clearly. I just thought it was possible that they'll announce the english release during the expo. That's why i said didn't minori want to release it close together with the western release. Well they just announced it, i doubt it'll be really soon though. They're just announcing that it's happening.
  20. I just want to say that you asked a question, innocently and politely. You admit it yourself that it may be a stupid or dumb question. Heck no matter the age, people can get paranoid about certain things and they'll just like some opinions on the matter to clear their mind. It's not right that what you get in return are people being rude and insulting to you. Its awful. It happens here, I noticed. Once one person insults you, a bunch of others pile on after. It doesn't stop with that one statement. People are so quick judge. Its ironic that the people that are judged so much by society [otaku] end up judging each other just as much. PS: I don't think you have to tell anyone the games you play on your time, just play what you want in your own space. You're an adult and you're purchasing adult games, its not a problem. If someone you know catches you with it then just own up to it or play it off. People aren't going to ask you to elaborate on it right?, just say adult game and that will suffice i think. Cheers
  21. I just saw on Vndb that Trinoline is being released on the 31st of March. Maybe that's one of Mangagamers 100/100 secret projects. Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't Minori want to release it close together with the western release? Also didn't Mangagamer announce it last year but it's not on their project status page like the other Vns they announced like Sona-Nyl so I thought that its possible its under secret project. https://vndb.org/v19644 http://blog.mangagamer.org/project-status/
  22. Focus on the great things you heard about Comyu rather than the complaining. People complain about everything mate. Honestly i don't know about the Comyu complains since i usually just ignore stuff like that and decide for myself once I've tried it. Comyu's great, its one of the first few Vns i read. I don't even remember the translation being bad, I think its because the story was really good haha. From what i remember it was a fun ride, the translation was fine and i didn't have a hard time reading it at all. Have fun reading it if you choose to do so! Kagome's made of fire and ice and everything spice. She's one badass woman that's for sure, one of my favourite heroines in a Vn.
