  1. Whats the average length of the volumes? Is the story structured around one girl per volume, or is it all encompassing and substantially connected? Are the references to the previous series frequent, or is this cast of characters and the story completely detached from the original? thanks.
  2. Just completed Rakuen, will probably read the after story tomorrow. I really loved the story [all three Vns]. I liked how it developed, how the characters learned and grew and how they struggled and overcame their walls, smashing threw and finding peace with who they were. The 'way of life' philosophies were beautiful, they were so relatable. The music was fantastic, the cgs were utilised so well, the voice actors gave their characters so much life. I think the writer/s? did such a good job with framing just how important and crucial Asako was to his growth, i really loved their connection. Also loved the sisterhood of the Mihama ladies, that special roles they all played that made their group perfect. Julia's pretty badass too, she had the thankless job of picking of the pieces of "situations" and working through them alone [basically]. There's a lot more i liked about the characters and the VN as a whole, 2 sleepy to write more about it right now . This was my 40th VN! Yay .
  3. Since rakuen has already been released, you don't have to be afraid .
  4. Hey there lads, i'm at 87% and in preparation for the decisions that would branch to the bad end or true end, i have some questions. Roughly, how long is the bad end? What exactly do they mean by the small story variation decision? is it a chapter of variations, or just a line? No spoilers regarding the true end please, and thank you! Edit: Currently passed that point. The bad end is just a few minutes long, the small story variation is just a few lines long right after the choice. Figured I'll answer the question anyway for future readers . cheers
  5. Kajitsu hooks you in, it's all about the girls, their unique backstories and the trauma that's 'broken' them in different ways. You read about who they are, and how Yuuji helps each of them using the tools he's learned about in his own life. Meikyuu's main storyline in a direct continuation, its focused on Yuuji, his past. The story gives his character even more depth, you'll start to realize the quirks and characteristics he displayed in Kajitsu weren't just due to his awkwardness in his new environment. You learn about the people that sculpted him into who he is. Devils and Gods. Also, Kusakabe Asako, I say again, KUSAKABE ASAKO [yeah i like her ]. They're a bunch of other great characters too, no worries. Rakuen is the Grand finale basically. I'm only 70% through but i can say that the pacing is great. Its gradual, calculated and consistent [drama, humour, character development and growth] with Kajitsu and Meikyuu. The characters, bgm, cgs, voice actors are all top notch. Honestly you can read these games back to back and it'll just seem like one HUGE story, they did a great job with the transition between the games. If you enjoyed Kajitsu, you'll enjoyed Meikyuu and Rakuen [I think]. You're lucky, since you don't have to wait for release dates . [Oh also, meikyuu also has a ton of skits, 5 after stories from kajitsu routes, random h-scenes allocated to its own section, and the grand route itself. Rakuen has a bunch of extras too]. Have fun reading the series mate, I know i am! [a lot, seriously, its beautiful stuff]. ps: KUSAKABE ASAKO, k i'm done .
  6. The picture is from a moment 17% in the story. Enjoying the read so far!
  7. Akuma/Gouki's Shun Goku Satsu had to be my favourite move back when i played 2d street fighter as a kid.
  8. You should probably mention that its a spoiler to doki doki.
  9. Just finished Meikyuu and it was great! Really enjoyed Asako and Yuuji's relationship, Julia too. I'm entering Asako into my list of favourite VN heroines . I think i'm going to skip senritsu and zankou for now and dive straight into rakuen. I hve been waiting for way, wayyyyyyyyy too long to finish this story. I'm glad i waited for rakuen's release before i started meikyuu, that ending was so abrupt . I have my guesses on whats happening and meikyuu's still fresh in my mind [and heart], so i think it'll add to the enjoyment of reading Rakuen immediately after. Man I hope it ends well for everyone. After all the suffering these characters have gone through, i really want some happiness and hope for them in the end. I've grown quite attached to them evidently.
  10. WOw it has 91 members now! it had like 30 members a year ago i think. I think its fine when people create posts meant for meme-ing and all the memers get their fill meme-ing each other . The mods sort those posts out pretty quickly anyway. They shouldn't highjack other people's posts though. From what i've noticed, it tends to annoy those not involved [ rightfully so i think] and derails the original purpose of said posts. Just a thought.
  11. Are the same people that translated this game translating astral air also? oh dear... I figured I'll eventually buy the game after I'm done with my backlog, not anymore. I think i'll be staying away from Sekai for quite awhile, as a consumer I simply don't trust them in the slightest now. Their delays, bad translations, ignoring consumers, shafting older kickstarter projects, their silence for months on particular projects, they do have communication problems. From the research I do before purchasing, people's issues with them seem to be pretty understandable. Though i will say, i've never hated them, hating is just a waste of time and energy. I just don't buy their releases if they're bad. I just want translations to be done perfectly [when they are official, fan tls are a different matter]. At least with Mangagamer they release their games after a two week announcement with good translations and an option for 18+ or all ages. They're really smooth with their releases, i don't think twice with them. I'm not interested in VN merchandise so I just want timely releases with good tls. I didn't read Fred's review of the game since i know what its about, but thanks for warning people about the translation quality guys, it saves us money!. I never buy games without checking here first so I've never had that 'cheated' feeling lol. PS: On another note, excited about sorcery jokers coming out next week! as usually 18+ and all ages release! looking forward to another long game .
  12. Finally , I just started grisaia no meikyuu...I' m so happy! been smiling to myself as i'm reading it. Starting on makina's after story first, so much nostalgia seeing all these characters again along with the same designs, locations, music and va's. Kajitsu was the second VN I read, and i loved every bit of it. Its really good to be back again. YAY .
  13. Is there a way to remove or stop the text loading animation, that square at the bottom of the screen with the rotating light. Its distracting...
  14. Finally I can start meikyuu and read rakuen after! Thanks for the solid advice you gave me about waiting for the 18+ version and 2 read them back to back @Dergonu.
  15. Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo chapter 90 picture. Kyaaaaaaa! so cute .
  16. So good. The video is both strange and cute, the beats catchy and relaxing, her voice is so soothing . The song sort of put me into a lull .
  17. [If you're wondering about the artist, I don't know who drew it either].
