  1. Oooh didn't know gaijin hunting was a thing [just googled it], so cute piano girls hunted you over there derg? just found this lol. Could you elaborate on your experience with gaijin hunters? @Dergonu[if its private, nvm], been reading about it and it got me curious. Basically it just seems like both sides use each other [status, being able to be in a relationship, no strings sex etc] till the time the foreigner leaves back home. Also seems that the 'gaijin hunters' proactively pursue their targets. Its different from people just organically meeting up and forming genuine relationships with people there, and viewed in a negative way by the people there since the purpose of it is viewed as shallow. Well inversely, theres foreigners targeting japanese girls to take advantage of . As i was reading about it, i came across this https://en.rocketnews24.com/2015/12/22/japans-netizens-react-angrily-to-foreign-pick-up-coachs-guide-to-getting-laid-in-japan/. Gross. Read a lot of comments in videos and articles about how feel suddenly feel encouraged to go to Japan since its 'easy to get laid'... That's pretty sad. Stuff like that causes people to be more wary of foreigners in their countries and encourages communications in transactions rather than a genuine and honest one. Personally i don't think its a wide spread phenomena or somethings, gaijin hunting and hunting gaijins i mean. Its just a minority playing this game. Ps: btw i mean no offence, I'm not saying anything about you, just asking about your impressions about meeting gaijin hunters.
  2. Yumiko was one of my favs in kajitsu, then Asako appeared.... Still love Yumi-chan tho .
  3. Yes i'm watching Eureka 7! the music is amazing, gives me chills man. Only on E32 of the anime, thoroughly enjoying it.
  4. Contact the Italian embassy in Japan and ask them if they can forward you information or an email address of a person or organisation that can offer you advice regarding educational and work options in Japan. Try to find expats websites, they should have people you can email to if you're looking for information. There are a few youtubers online that blog about living in Japan for the perspective of a 'gaijin' and living there on a budget. I used to watch their videos, they're pretty good if you want a fresh look of how it is there. If you're going to make a huge change like this and want to minimise on the risk, you need to spend some time researching about it and you need some savings to sustain yourself for a few months. Since you're playing to sustain yourself, you'll probably need to have a list of part time job options before your even reach the place. With Japan its hard since most of that information is in Japanese so its hard to inquire. For example, if you wanted to do the same thing with say, Singapore or Malaysia, it'll be way easier since English is the primary language for singapore and secondary language in Malaysia , websites are mainly in English etc. Billboards, signboard, info counters, all in english. You should ask yourself if you're sure it has to be that college in Japan and no where else. If it doesn't have to be there, than maybe more viable options would open up [you mentioned liking Asian culture, there's plenty of cheaper countries in Asia to live in and study [i think] than Japan, with regards to lodging, food etc also] . Finding yourself an education or work advisor will go a long way. Even if you have to pay for it a bit. Just some suggestions, good luck. PS: I forgot about education forums and websites, just google information about studying in japan. There's a bunch of sites, example: http://www.studyjapan.go.jp/jp/index.html http://www.studyjapan.go.jp/en/inj/inj03e.html [theres job info websites in japan here] http://www.g-studyinjapan.jasso.go.jp/en/ [JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization)] You could try emailing one of those sites, maybe someone can offer you some guidance on options. cheers
  5. You can't nominate, your comment will be removed immediately. Happened to me [all i said was derg will be a good mod and seniorblitz for walkthrough], well this is probably going to get removed too. Btw, you guys should probably add [to the main post] that confidence votes for applicants and comments from non applicants will be removed. Its kind of crappy to have my comment removed when I'm not saying anything negative or breaking any site rules.
  6. Omg Dergonu should be a mod, I been assuming he's a mod for so long lol. I mean the guy is so helpful and active here, also he's approachable so new members wouldn't have a problem going to him if they have issues or questions. Think the guy fulfils fuwa's criteria of how a moderator should be. Seniorblitz should be a walkthrough mod if a role like that exist, that place belongs to him now lol. He's been pumping that board full of info for awhile now. Even if there isn't a role like that, he should probably get some recognition for it lol, like how jun got that little nod in "post pictures your like", that powered by thing. Anyway just suggestions from a regular member . Well Kaguya already knows about Derg actually lol.
  7. Really liked Kamidori too, it was my first gameplay vn. Too bad that only interface and machine translations are available for the other games. Maybe after Mangagamer gets done translating Alice Soft titles, they'll try to pursue Eushully [yeah i know, even if thats possible, it'll take many years].
  8. A question: I like her art ,but, really not into the genres. Zannen...
  9. It depends on what kind of mood you're in I guess [that's how i usually pick my vns]. G-Senjou is an amazing VN, it'll keep you at the edge of your seat wanting more and more till you complete the game. It's pretty heavy though and it can be stressful to read since the characters really go through the wringer. I had the same reading experience in G-Senjou as with Steins gate. It was so compelling and engaging that i skipped meals to read through as much as possible . Grisaia's also a top-tier VN or course [for me] , I'll say its a bit less stressful that G-Senjou since there's a lot of humour and lightness alternating with some amazing drama. The characters are endearing and relatable. I'll say that Grisaia is a very balanced experienced. It gives your moments to relax as you read along. If you don't have much time to spare, maybe only able to allocate an hour or so of reading at a time, go for nekopara, karakara and corona blossom. They're short, sweet and relaxing [at times dull and boring for me ]. Have fun with your reading mate! cheers!
  10. Forgot to add this pretty lady . Amane constantly prattling on about how amazing the truck is, plus the action sequences and cgs featuring the truck made me consider buying one lol. Actually started checking prices for the truck and modifications . I've never been influenced by a car commercial till now. Next time someone mentions truck-chan, instead of dread, i'll be filled with fond memories. Yonbarrrrrrrrrr!
  11. Asako>JB=Kazuki=Yumiko=Amane>Sachi>Michiru=Makina Yeah I know Asako, JB and Kazuki didn't get routes but i loved those characters [honestly they didn't need routes, their impact and importance in the main storyline was enough for me to love them]. They brought so much depth to story and yuuji's growth, since they 'raised' him and educated him in being the kind of man he ended up becoming. They were essential to him, he literally wouldn't have lived without them or the lessons they instilled in him. Asako was a magnificent character for me. I liked all the other heroines too though [varying degrees but still liked them all], Grisaia did a splendid job explaining the reasons for their behaviour, thought process and other characteristics. Asako was glorious [yes i liked her alot okay! ]
  12. @Zenophilious Thanks for the clarification! Noticed that you're re-reading fate/stay night so i figured i'll ask you some questions about certain events in the game! Thanks!
  13. Okay so I was checking out the rance games after sengoku when i came across a screenshot on the vndb page of helman https://vndb.org/v13802 , [don't open the spoiler if you haven't read sengoku] So yeah, I don't mind spoilers regarding that particular scene. Please.
