Well, that's a big letdown. I thought they were setting something up with "grim reapers" from what I saw while skipping through Isuzu's route and actually playing through Chinami's.

From what I've heard about it, Yume's depressing as hell, which makes me hesitant to read it. I'm a big crybaby, and I don't like getting depressed. And is that really all Mare's route is? Does it have nothing else going for it?

Well, I don't think that gore, real or simulated, should be put out for everyone to see. I know that I feel physically sick when I see such depictions, and having to see stuff like that day after day would really get to me. Also, real gore is quite disturbing, for me at least. I accidentally stumbled on some on the internet, and I actually threw up. Depictions of sex is a different matter. It really depends on what country you live in. Most of the people in the US are prudes, yet German newspapers have 18+ pictures of naked women/pornography on the first few pages, or at least one German newspaper I saw did. I don't think that public depictions of sex or gore are okay, since not everyone wants to see it. In private, it's a different matter. Like I said before, it depends on whether it's real or simulated. Simulated gore, while it disgusts me, harms nobody. While I'm not into it, I don't think it should be prohibited. Real gore is a different story. Someone actually got hurt, and I think viewing that for your own pleasure is sickening. While I don't think it should be accessible on the net, it would violate free speech and freedom of expression, which I strongly support, if it wasn't. I don't agree with it, like it, or think that it should be available, but getting rid of it from the net violates several of my core beliefs.

Lemme guess...Rance is your favorite antihero protagonist. Didn't see that one comin' xD Hmmm...so far, my favorite protagonists are Yuuji from Grisaia and You from Hoshimemo. Yuuji is hilarious, and has made me laugh so hard I fell off my computer chair, and I like You because of how caring he is in regards to the women in his life. Antagonist...hmmm...I loathed Shinji from F/sn (which proves that I'm in a normal mental state)...can't really think of an antagonist I've really liked in a VN besides Setsuna from Hoshimemo, and she isn't that much of an antagonist after the first few routes.

If some of the routes bother you that much, skip through the text so you can unlock everything, then ask people here what the important details were. I hated Isuzu so much that I completely ignored her route (aside from skipping through it to unlock Chinami's, which...wasn't that great...), and I even got to see the important plot details. My favorites were Komomo and Kasume's routes, with Asuho's firmly in second place. Are those two worth doing? Just wondering, since besides Isuzu's route, they're the only two I haven't finished.

What comes to your mind when you see a NSFW tag? Porn/hentai. I don't usually think of gore or extreme violence when I think of NSFW content. Do you think content like that is "bad" or is the whole hidding "non-public-friendly" material total BS? I think that it's not a good thing to look up in public, as other people usually judge you for looking at it. Whether it's bad or not depends on the content itself; as long as it's legal, I don't think it's bad, but if it's something like kiddie porn I don't think it could ever be good. Would you like see that on the streets or is it better left hidden in the "dark corners" of the internet? I do find it rather hypocritical that, as a culture, we're obsessed with sex, but at the same time ashamed of ourselves for it, but no, I think that NSFW content should be in places that you have to go to yourself to find it, otherwise viewing it no longer is a choice. IF you have children would you/do you let them watch NSFW in their early ages? I wouldn't encourage them to do so, but I wouldn't make it impossible for them to find it on their own initiative, which usually means that they're mature enough to handle it in the first place. Being that overprotective usually ends up backfiring, anyway. When did you encounter your first NSFW experience? Hmmm...around the age of 14, if we're talking about sexual content. I was exposed to simulated violence/gore at about 8, due to my dad's computer getting a virus that showed me some pretty disgusting simulated violence. *Do you think Fuwa should be open to NSFW? Why? Isn't it already? There aren't post filters, and you can download 18+ VNs directly from the site. Aside from having a "Favorite Porn Sites" thread, I don't see what else we could do. I live in California, about 3-4 hours away from Los Angeles, in a city by the coast. I'm pretty much 5 minutes away from several beaches, but the water is always ridiculously cold, so I don't go swimming much.

Oh, I was wondering, I have no idea what VN to read after Grisaia. I have a decent list, but no clear frontrunners. A little help picking one to read next would be very much appreciated. Installed VNs: Cross†Channel, Kamidori Alchemy Meister, Kanon, Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative, Tomoyo After, Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tooya, Sharin no Kuni Himawari no Shoujo VNs I've been looking at but haven't installed: Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai!, Utawarerumono, Sekien no Inganock, Witch's Garden

Which routes were your favorites? I really should complete it, but I just hate Isuzu so much, and I lost steam before getting to Yume and Mare.

Uhhh...I wouldn't pick that last one. It sounds a little weird.

I'm in the NA server, which I'm sure surprised nobody. Think I said it before, but my username is Direwolfiez, and I main Lux, Ezreal, and Annie (Annie mid, not the hated Support Annie), but can also play Sona, Jinx, Ashe, and Morgana (mid or support). I play about 1-4 games a day; if it's above 3 games, I'm usually playing ARAM, since they're usually so short. Flutterz, FYI, there are a lot of smurfs (people with high skill levels playing new accounts) when you start, so don't be surprised if you constantly get destroyed at first. That's one of the things I loathe about League: the (usually) terrible community.

Uhhh...Uta is only good for a certain audience, and while it's story is quite interesting, I wouldn't recommend it unless they're into gore/freaky shit.

Hoshizora no Memoria seems a little too normal at first, but I can assure you, it's quite good, especially Komomo and Kasume's routes. It's fully translated into English.

It's not so much that I dislike that it's slow, it's just the few hooks that I've seen so far are followed by what seems to be amusing content that's not important to the main plot. I thought that it'd pick up a bit several times, only to have it go back to its normal slow pacing.

Yeahhhh...I only have a PS2. I don't know that much about emulators, and I don't think I should dabble in game emulators until I get a real Windows desktop. It'll eat up my small amount of space if I try it now. M'kay, thanks for the suggestions. I'll try both of 'em after I finish Grisaia. Is that for PC? I've only heard of Fire Emblem games being on the Nintendo DS.

Out of all of those, which would you recommend the most? I have very limited space on my Parallels Windows 7 drive, I should get only one more VN right now. I looked them all up, but I find that it's hard to get a feel for a VN from just the VNDB page.

That was the other VN that I forgot to mention. Great for new VN readers. It was made by a bunch of people on 4chan, and is surprisingly sweet in spite of that fact. All of the heroines are disabled (One's deaf, one's blind, one's severely physically scarred, one is missing her legs, and the last one is missing her arms), just FYI.
