  1. I love how off-topic this thread got. I didn't look at it again until yesterday lol
  2. I'm personally okay with it as long as it's not said again and again and again. Those bleeps get rather irritating if you keep hearing them. It's a little funny, at least to me, because I don't expect it, but more than five times in five minutes and my patience gets a little short. I know some of the bleeps are just the VN devs making little jokes, but they can't all be joking. Do they censor swear words that refer to penises and female genitalia just in case the government doesn't like it and fines/punishes them? I tried searching "japanese audio censorship" and didn't find that much.
  3. Don't worry, it's not like we think we're cooler than you because we looked at porn at a earlier age than you did. I know I'm not bragging about it or anything. Doesn't really matter that much. It takes serious skill to not find porn until you're 17. Dem XXX pop-ups be errywhere.
  4. Not quite sure if Grisaia no Kajitsu is intentionally trying to piss the censor off. Amane just said cock about 5 times in a row. That was the whole sentence. Anyone else seen Japanese entertainment and VNs with a ridiculous amount of words censored? The fact that "Yakuza" was bleeped out astounded me. Apparently the name itself is too obscene/evil/threatening for the Japanese public to hear...dafuq...
  5. That's not that out of the ordinary, or at least it wasn't with some people I knew. I used to have a friend that, when I went to his house, started searching for "playboy" while I was in the room, and I got a good look at the other searches he'd conducted that started with the letter "p". That was around 5th grade, I think. To be fair, though, he was extremely perverted, like this-kid-is-gonna-become-a-porn-addict perverted. Wasn't exactly sorry when he switched schools, he kinda creeped me out. Most of the guys I know have all insinuated that they've watched porn for a while now. Kinda happens when adults tell you not to do it. Kids do the opposite of what their parents tell them to do half the time. Google Images also makes accidentally finding porn ridiculously easy. I've come across porn on it while searching for pictures of toast. TOAST.
  6. How did you like Michiru's route? Apparently a lot of people here at Fuwa disliked it.
  7. About how common is it? I was wondering, since I've noticed that in Grisaia, the words "cock", "dick", "pussy", "poop", and "Yakuza" are all bleeped out. That's obviously due to Japan's ridiculous censorship standards, but I've never heard of Japanese entertainment having censored audio (aside from in Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, where "hymen" and "penis" were bleeped out). I also thought that they only really censored pictures/videos of genitalia, real and CG. I'm also fairly confused, since they don't censor "fuck", which literally means sex, but they'll censor words referring to genitalia. Anyone want to shed some light on the subject? If anyone wants me to bleep out the swears to make this thread more youth-friendly, just say so and I'll do it. I don't remember the profanity rules here at Fuwa; it's been almost a year since I signed up, and my memory is a little fuzzy on the topic.
  8. Still slowly but steadily progressing though Grisaia no Kajitsu. Passed the part where Amane talks to Yumiko about blowjobs. My God, that was freakin' hilarious. The Gundam reference seriously made unable to breathe from laughing so hard.
  9. Yeah, I'm sure my monitor has built-in speakers, since that was one of the reasons I bought it. I'll make sure to pick up an HDMI cord for it, then. Thanks again for your help, Flutterz!
  10. To be honest, I get kinda tired of the cliché super-nice MC. I mean, it's easy for me to connect with them, since I'm pretty sensitive myself, but still, there are just so many of them that it gets a little boring to read. I like a little shade of grey in my characters. Makes them more interesting I was surprised that he did it even though he's quite obviously self-loathing. You'd think that would make him hate himself even more, but so far, he hasn't spun into a downward spiral of self-hate. He's quite an interesting character, that's for sure. Not sure if I've seen a character similar to him before.
  11. Wow, I'm sorry, I'm currently trying to multitask, and I was getting mildly worried about the future of my computer lol I derped so hard I herped. So, at the least, I should get an HDMI cord? I think my monitor came with some type of DVI cord.
  12. Whenever I try to play her in Normals SoloQ, I almost always get a derp support. For example, I got a Rammus tank who only built health early on against a Vayne + Fiddle combo. We got destroyed. Utterly destroyed. He fed Vayne about 3 kills early on, and all I could do was poke until our Mundo jungle got there, and...he couldn't do much, mostly because our Rammus didn't build full tank until about 15:00. Wasn't just him, though, a lot of the times when I play Jinx I'm less aware of my surroundings than I am with other ADCs, like Ezreal (haven't had much luck with him, either; I keep going up against Vaynes). I dunno why I do that with her. Guess I just gotta play more games or something. At least that will help with the CSing. Is she not a good ADC to play in SoloQ normals anymore? A friend recommended that I play her while she's broken.
  13. Crap. Well, it says that the monitor has D-Sub, DVI-D, and HDMI connectors, with one of each, but I'm not sure about the GPU. All I could find was that it has "Virtualization Technology Support". This is my GPU on Newegg, and this is it on the Intel site. Would you mind checking for me? Sorry to be asking you to do something else for me, but I'm clueless about what to look for.
  14. Eh...it was a little sadistic, whether he meant it to be or not, because it was clearly making her uncomfortable and he didn't care that much, plus...pissing on yourself, regardless of how or why, is always humiliating. I'm just a little surprised because this is my first playthrough, and I've never really seen this part of Yuuji before. That, and there wasn't anything on VNDB about that, so it was a little shocking.
  15. Uh...well, I'm gonna put it in spoilers, since it's a little on the perverted side. Don't click if you don't want to know.
  16. Anyone got any advice for playing as Jinx? It's fun as hell to play as her, but whenever I do, I play terribly. I think it's partially due to the huge influx of AP carry supports (I can support, too, guyz! Look, I just 100-0'd that guy for you! Oh, wait...I'm getting ganked? What? *feed because they have 0 utility*), but I also just have trouble CSing with her weird AA animation and her changing AS, and keep trying to use her W to escape if my E doesn't work too well.
  17. Really? Awesome. I saw stuff about HDMI connectivity/ports, so I wasn't sure if I needed HDMI cords or not. I'm assuming that they're optional purchases if I want things to look and sound extra crisp, right?
  18. Passed Amane's first H-scene...I was a little surprised at how sadistic they made Yuuji in it; I didn't think he was that bad of a person.
  19. I'm a little weird in that way; my first VN was Katawa Shoujo, but my current favorite is Hoshimemo. I love KS, but it just didn't affect me the way that Hoshimemo did.
  20. Bought all the parts! Got two free games, too. I got Total War: Rome II with the Intel Core i5-4670K processor, and I got Daylight with the ASUS GeForce GTX 770 graphics card. Spent about $50-$70 more than I planned, but I didn't want to use the site that sold the HDD for the cheapest. Oh well, wasn't too bad. One last question that I can think of: do you generally have to buy additional cords to hook everything up with, or do all of the components come with the proper cords?
  21. Well, that's a coincidence. I just didn't say what VN I'm reading because I've been posting about it for a few weeks now lol That, and it's in my signature.
  22. I haven't played any more placement matches since the DDoS attacks. Scared me off a little because I didn't get loss prevention or anything. I also need a little more practice with Lux first; I've gotten a little rusty from too many ARAM games.
  23. It does, but if you want to get through the story as efficiently as possible, a guide is reeeeaaaaaally helpful. If you want to experience everything in one go, and don't care about time management, then by all means, don't use a walkthrough. I'm just lazy, and like to keep the story moving at a decent pace without a lot of interruptions, that's why I used a walkthrough.
  24. I'd highly recommend using a guide, or saving every time you make a choice. There are so many times where you can die I don't even remember the total number; I'm guessing you'll add on a few more hours from getting bad ends, playing through them all the way, then reloading and picking the right one.
  25. That's why I like roguelikes. Even if you manage to "beat" the game, it never truly ends. It only ends when you get so mad from repeatedly dying and starting over that you ragequit and throw your monitor onto the ground and stomp on it until your rage dissipates. I also like NG+ options, usually because you can pretty much become a god, and games that let you mess around after you beat the story. That's just for video games, though. I feel a slight void of motivation to play another game for a while after I beat a game that had a story that profoundly affected me.
