The kanji, like everything else can be memorized by repetition. Japanese is the language that makes no sense in that HOW in the 6 different ways is the kanji meant to be read. It's not like any other language where sounds are constant per character. So in effect, with Japanese, per kanji, you aren't memorizing 3 pieces of information: what it looks like, how it's read, and what it means, but instead like 10 different ways to read the damn thing.

This is a clear case of cabin fever induced by the constant whiteness of the snowstorm you lived in for a couple months. Please see a doctor, you might have frostbite.

I'm going to make bets we will see it in winter 2016/2017. Silver Link loves their sequels, and seems to be on point of doing them yearly. It's the main reason why I eagerly await Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Ilya 3rei on July 20th. I would almost bet money it is going to be that week.

I hate latex gloves, they're just uncomfortable. I want that glove making machine where you dip your hands into liquid rubber and it creates a film around your skin. I don't know if I saw it in a movie or if it actually exists, but either way, that would be incredible. Genetics class is such a pain in the ass because of these gloves T_T Yeah, but spending 20 minutes with Anki while waiting for classes when I have nothing better to do doesn't seem that difficult. With the fact that I'm reinforcing the language by doing flashcards and then using it by reading manga(read hentai) at home, I can't really consider this a life hack can I? And to the studying comment, I can only reply: "What's studying?" I've always been one of those bastards who people hate because I just pay attention in class and do the homework without studying and break their beloved curve that they so much depend on to get a passing grade. Actually studying to me is such a foreign concept that I find it interesting when people try to explain to me how they go about doing it.

Am I seriously the only one who managed to learn these by introducing them 5 at a time by consonant via SRS over the course of 2 hours? Ie memorizing あ　え　い　お　う　then か　け　き　こ　く　etc. then mashing them together? Anki is excellent for stuff like this, though realkana does it well too for literally just the kana and not kanji. As a tip though, for me who just came back after memorizing them last year and forgetting about half of them, if you are doing flash cards for the kanji/vocab (I'm doing it via Anki), make sure it's entirely in Japanese except for the actual meaning of the word. The constant lookup of what を might be will ingrain it into your head faster than flash cards because you are actually using it. By the same token, I'll assume you are doing it in class anyway, be sure to be using any vocab you do learn in some way, either by textbook example problems or by reading entertainment with some kind of dictionary. Reinforcement is the only way you will actually learn anything, and otherwise it's just isolated factoidal knowledge that can't actually be used. がんばれ！

Confession: I keep seeing threads about people having trouble with Japanese. I'm starting to think that I'm abnormal for memorizing Hiragana/Katakana in like 2 hours. Is it also abnormal to introduce 20 kanji and 20 vocab everyday? Please tell me I'm not alone is how easy I find this.

Rakudai Kishi is a stellar example of shonen anime done right. It uses tropes properly and the animation is fucking excellent. I think it is currently the best shonen battle anime currently. I personally found it to be the most enjoyable show that season by far. Compared it to Asterisk War, another show that season, was really awful.

I was going to make a joke about that. I still intend to. That whole scene had me laughing at the absurdity of it. I couldn't help but feel that all the drama right there was entirely ethereal. It all seemed entirely forced and it made it silly instead, or at least that is how the acting made it seem.

The scene IIRC is when he is taking a nap on the wall with the sword girl, and he reminisces about his grandfather yelling at him/possessing him to get a harem or something along those lines.

EVERY SINGLE LISTING. Only Anidb and ANN have any fucking sense and listed it as having a harem. Seriously, one of the reasons I hate these websites and overly prefer AniDB for show content is because AniDB doesn't go by official listings and actually says what the show contains. They didn't market it as a harem, even though anyone in their right mind knows it is, and as a result you get people claiming that it isn't. I've met people who will ardently defend this show as not a harem, and I want to shoot them for being absolutely retarded.

Mhmmm. I switched because normal was too easy. I wonder if there is Lunatic+ like I think I remember seeing awakening have. That would be seriously entertaining; figuring out how to beat a cheating AI.

Fire Emblem as usual. I can't think of any game where when this advice is generalized it doesn't apply. All second classes are generally really "meh" due to being promoted early, special classes like Dread Fighters usually rule the battlefield (lol Boyd) and the hero promotion tree is usually good too, and classes that can use all weapons are pretty amazing too. Flying units have always been cheesy units, even more so back in the games where rescue fighting was a thing. And the protagonist being ~5 levels above everyone else near the 3/4 point is just a given. Considering you use him in every single mission, you will want to use him, and because he is a key unit, you don't want to game over due to a random crit. Really, it's just going to be entertaining to play the damn game for me. Even making unoptimal build compositions usually doesn't wreck you if you make a good plan and execute it.

Just don't expect resolution. It's an adaptation of a light novel which means that if you want to expect an end, you are going to need more than a single season. And at least someone else isn't blind to the fact that this series is in fact a harem no matter how much people want to claim it isn't.

In the US, as long as you aren't stupid, and even if you are, noone gives a shit as long as you don't sell it. Most piracy here is viewed as "as long as you don't make money off it" they don't care. They figure that it's good advertisement for the thing instead. Plus they know that if they started cracking down on piracy two things happen: one: they lose potential talent that would be potentially using their program in the professional space, and two: it would create bad publicity for the program damaging their reputation causing a PR battle that they really don't want.

So for shits and giggles I left streetpass on when I walked in to campus today. I honestly wasn't expecting anything. Come home and I find at least two other people apparently also have this game and had streetpass on, waiting in my castle. Fuck, now I feel I need to meet them. That is hilariously entertaining.

Confession: I sincerely believe that anyone who drive 10 mph below the speed limit on an expressway for ANY reason other than having your car fall apart less than 30 seconds ago should be shot dead. So after being able to select which units you want to bring into battle, (this is an option on the prebattle screen) selecting view map and pressing A on a non key unit (unit that you selected to bring into battle, this generally means no main character), you can select the 'swap' option and swap that character with any other non key unit by selecting that other unit's square.

So a few months ago (on second look: holy shit, since July?!) when the game released in Japan and was immediately datamined, someone put up all the sound rips. I grabbed them. I then parsed through them for all the interesting sound files. Two things are apparent: Either I deleted some of the actual songs, or NoA added more The opening theme dub makes my ears bleed after having listened to this for what has apparently been 8 months (again, holy shit). Fuck did they mangle that so much. Please, please, please do not have ruined the final boss/stage theme.
