I have a feeling that Esdese is going to switch sides. The Prime Minister seems to have some other back up plans. If Mein is not going to die in this battle then she will afterwards. But anyways, the chapters are sure releasing slow. I should have waited a bit longer.

Time frame is too small for any of that, Esdeath won't switch sides, if Mine dies she will die in  this battle, the manga is ending in the next volume.

 

I have to say i'm afraid the ending might be similar to the Anime.

Wait. Next volume is the end of the manga? ... Are you sure? There's like mountain of things to fill up. Did it get axed or is there a new volume coming afterwards?

Yes, it was annouced at the end of the last volume that the next volume will be the last one:

Well that sucks. There was a lot of room for more shit to happen. I mean we're talking about some 40+ bad ass weapons. Prime Minister's bullshit, the closed country and its own problems (basically more bullshit outside the country happening? more enemies?) Hope something gets announced, like a sequel!
