  1. Well, I read Narcissus, and it made me depressed for a few days Lool

I doubt anything is darker than that, is it?

Haven't read Narcissus, so can't say for sure. But I will say it's a very heavy setting. Personally it's not my cup of tea, but it is well written. ...Just... not something you can walk away feeling good about, heh.

  2. Main heroine syndrome. I have it too but my favorite girl in the series is Riho. Nympho star-loving ojousama for the freaking win.

But yeah Umi almost has that Osananajimi vibe since she's known Soutarou the longest and she seems to display love interest/jealousy in all of the other girl's routes.

Yeah, going through the other routes was rough in that way, lol...I found myself silently apologizing to her all the time. :sachi:

  3. Steins Gate is definitely on my list, I don't have any special interest about global warming, but I do like VNs about apocalypse.

Honestly I'm debating whether I should start Stiens Gate or Rewrite. It's a hard decision.

PS: I have this fear that I will finish playing all the good VNs, then be left with nothing good anymore. XD

I think you'll get more out of Steins Gate tbh.

Don't worry, that fear is something we've all had to face - it's why some of us lurk here on Fuwa even while working lol, waiting to see the next great TL to finish~ But you're still miles away from that worry. :)

  4. The Rebirth series are only on PS Vita or PC. I think. so probably can't play on PS3

    ~~

Finished the main campaign for Re;birth1, no intentions of doing all the quests / unlocking all dungeons / plans atm

TL;DR my experience with this game:

It's a nice fluffy ride, as long as you're not hoping for anything serious. :mare:

Has anyone played Fairy Fencer F? Kinda in the mood for a jrpg - but want something a bit more serious then the Rebirth series atm~

  5. I guess for me,

I was more invested in him then I was The Key's role and motive - I found her part in it completely forgettable apparently (lol, as can be seen by earlier posts). I found my memories and attention focused on his character and actions, rather then anything else.

  6. planetarian doesnt have a happy ending, little buster or rewrite either (at least for me this 2 dont have a happy ending).

steins;gate, you should play that one if you enjoyed cross channel, i dont think you will enjoy rewrite considering you didnt like little busters, if you like global warming stuff then play rewrite..

Wut?  Did we read different copies? There was nothing even remotely comparable to that in my version. :P It's better/accurate to say it's full of apocalypse and sci-fi, then to say "Global Warming" :makina:

  7. I'm almost done with Cross channel, I'm going to start a new VN, do you guys recommend Rewrite? So far I'm not impressed with Key's VNs, I played little busters but dropped it (I don't know why many people call it a masterpiece)

    So far I played:

    Katawa Shoujo: 8.5/10

    Saya no Uta:9/10

    G-Senjou no Maou: 7/10

    Cross channel: 9.5/10

    Katawa Shoujo: dropped

    Little busters: dropped

Well based on my ratings do you guys recommend me to play Rewrite? I do like a VN with a good plot twists, and I prefer

    Them to have many feels.

I know Rewrite is considered one of the top VNs out there, but I'm becoming very wary of those "top rated" VNs, I know people have different tastes though.

Rewrite has a "very" long common route (subjective opinion) - depending on your tastes you might find it a endurance test. Or at least at the time of reading it, it really was wearing on my patience lol.

  8. Should be interesting to see how they construct it. It depends how many episodes they will devote to it I guess.

My thought for the likely layout? Common route over X amount of episodes, then they devote 2 - 3 episodes per route -  "rewinding" to that endpoint of the common route for each heroine (like how Yosuga no Sora handled it).

And finally Terra as separate season. Moon would probably fit in at the end of the 1st season - or start of the second, as a single episode.

Tiagofvarela: But I stand by my statements. I have a knack for enjoying average-bad stuff. Why not brag about it.

You know, the more things in this world that you can enjoy - the better life is, right? Who wants to be unhappy about every little thing? Good on you mate. ;)

  9. I can't believe how much money it has already. That's insane.

I remember famous developers doing Kickstarters with promising new series barely breaking that in the first day. VN fans are scary...

Also, how would a steam Release go? It'd have to be heavily censored, not just for sex, but for violence and gore, no?

I can't wait to see a comparison between the current translation and the one they are releasing.

Nah - at least not for the violence/gore - it would be a double-standard when compared against disgusting murder-sims like Hatred, and Steam knows it.

  10. Took this straight from Denpasofts site (had to redownload it anyway, last d/l was corrupted, bleh)

For the game to run properly please run the game with "BootMenu.exe", this is included in the download. After please click on "Start". This will insure the fonts required for the game is loaded properly.
  11. I am pulled towards H content, but I find i can live without it as well, even if slightly disatisfied by the lack of.

How can I explain it? Before reading Fate/Stay Night - I would NEVER have considered reading a VN without Hscenes, I just automatically paired up the two as a requirement to be "worthwhile".

Then, when I was almost through Fate route, I was completely taken by surprise when a H-scene popped up - I had completely forgotten I was reading a eroge.

Since then, I've opened my eyes and realized I could probably find other titles that can be good, even without any h-scenes. (I read Clannad after that, and found that belief to be reinforced).

I still like to have it in my VNs, for both pure and dirty reasons - but if the story is good enough, I can live without it.
