  1. I see. Really everyone has enough math aptitude for practical everyday use:lol:

Also the other way around, it seems I'll be having financial engineering sometime in the middle of my studies as well. To tell you the truth, when I was in highschool I was dreadful regarding business and humanitarian studies. I wouldn't be surprised if I fail by then, but hopefully not.

It's the cause of everything...  :sachi:

Haha well I did say more than enough. I've been quick with numbers from a young age, and did well at math in school. But math quickly went from one of my best subjects to my outright worst as I entered Uni and it got more advanced. These days I do better at units with essays, group assignments and presentations as annoying as all that is.

Dodgy infrastructure? Seriously? Also Sydney is where all the cool kids live :P btw I don't actually dislike Melbourne other than the fact that our school has annual sports comps with Melbourne high.

I don't actually know if it's better or worse than Sydney's, but some areas are sub par. I've been to Adelaide, Canberra and Queensland. Always fly past and/or ignore Sydney. Not that I travel that much at all. Not a fan of travel in general actually, feel it's a waste of money.

Anyways I never played against schools from another state when I was in high school. What's the deal with that one, do teams from one of the schools travel interstate to the other?

  2. You're still so ripe~  :illya:

Once you get Calculus in uni, you'll be even deeper to the seventh circle of hell. It's algebra on meth. Unless you don't want to take engineering or maths for your higher education that is. That's always an option~

I'm a 3rd year Uni student studying Business. It's just some of my units have are heavily math based. I do not like those units. I'm pretty good with numbers and have more than enough math aptitude for practical real life use, but I struggle with the advanced stuff. All of my fails have been in math based units, though I did cut it close with the compulsory Law unit too. Just passed. Had a 30% fail rate so I'll take that and run. Never have to look at a law book again now.  :sachi:

    Good luck....

Joke is I slept 5 hours every test watching anime till 2 am for every exam since I first started watching anime. Oh and I neglect studying...

Oh hey another 'Strayan. Too bad you live in pleb Sydney and not the City of Kings Melbourne. World's most livable city 4 years running. Except for the violent crime, awful public transport and some dodgy infrastructure.

  3. Anyone here play Showdown? I mainly just play random battles. It keeps things fresh, and I prefer thinking on my feet rather than meticulously planning a team beforehand. Not to mention the lack of Battle Frontier in ORAS means I can't play random battles there.  :saber:

    Enjoyed them in Soul Silver.

Terrorism, bad luck or both? What happend, Aquajet crits?

Sorry didn't see this. It's been ages, but I've managed to find the report I gave on Serebii (haven't logged in for years).

  4. More choice is always a good thing. People being bothered by an optional feature is silly. The video game equivalent is pretty common, especially in sequels. If an easier difficulty or something else that helps casuals and newcomers enjoy the game, it's often blasted by the "hardcore fans". Even if it's completely optional and they can still play on a higher difficulty/without a handicap.

This is a little different of course, but the concept is the same.

I'd probably use it occasionally. I'm bored by almost all H-scenes, but I usually still feel compelled to skim though them at least.

  5. Re-read part of Grisaia. I missed the gang. Might start Sono Hana 6 next. Been a while since I read the first, which has the same pair of girls. Been a while since I watched or read anything Yuri actually. I need my saccharine, diabetes inducing Yuri love.

  6. Everyone here really does look nice. I've seen a few of these threads on other forums and you lot are right up there.

please excuse the crappy filter. it was the only one i had on my comp. (dat weird face tho)

taking during the summer. my hair is shorter now, though

Brah, wrong use of the color filter.

Also notice my million dollar smile. :wahaha:

  7. I've always found it amusing how Makoto has managed to illicit far more hatred from the anime fanbase than murderous villains, all without even breaking the law. Pretty remarkable achievement when you think of it that way. Personally I didn't like him as I thought he was a needlessly awkward twat, but I wasn't sitting enthusiastically celebrating his death.

  8. You actually kinda look like your avatar.

My current one? Drats. I was going for this.

I do have a group photo of myself wearing sunglasses. Though it's also indoors and therefore super douchey.

Alright alright since I'm like the only prick that censored myself I feel bad so here you go. I applied Fuwanovel's latest uncensor patch v1.2:

^HS prom 8D so that's the only time I ever looked nice.

    ~~

Here's what I really look like when I'm lurking on Fuwanovel:

The first one is nicer in the sense your parents probably prefer it, but I think your hair looks way better in the second one.

  9. This thread has confirmed my long standing belief that VN fans are the sexiest people going around. Anyways:

This is my most recent one. The webcam was atrocious so that was the best I could do. My new computer came with a built in HD webcam, but you need to download something to use it and I haven't bothered to yet. Will do so in the future. You can kind of see a little mustache there which is unfortunate, as I hate facial hair and try to shave it off as much as I can. Also don't like how red my skin looks there, must have been a hot day. It's much whiter/nicer on cool days. Plus my blue eyes don't look blue. Ugh, I'm starting to sound like Diva. I do like my hair in this pic though. Think this was taken just before I got it chopped off (long hair and hot weather aren't a great mix).

  10. Hmm. In-game flowcharts are nice. Too bad the best one I've seen came in the worst VN I've read (Gimai - Hitomi).

Skipping to the next choice is also super convenient. So long as it can manage without skipping unread text. I also appreciate backlogs with voices. I can live without the voices, but a backlog is very important to me. I occasionally skip forward without properly reading a line, sounds strange but it happens. Colour coded font is gimmicky but I like that too. Obviously not a must, but I prefer having it to not having it.

  11. Hair colour/style is stands out much more in anime/VN than it does in real life and even most western fiction. So it's something I definitely take notice of. Personality is like 80% of what's important to me, but hair is still somewhat important. My preferred hairstyle is long and straight (even on guys, though it's more important to me on girls). Nothing too out of the ordinary, but I feel it looks best like that. Long, smooth and pretty. Haircuts are awful and need to die. Authors need to find a better way to symbolize character growth. I mean I can still find girls with short hair attractive, but that's mainly because anime girls are attractive by default. I doubt there's many characters I would prefer with short hair

Fav colour is something similar to this shade of blue:

    99434.jpg

    I also like jet black.

I've figured out I love it if they have some details in their hair, like fancy little hairpins or stuff like that ;)

    Like Yui

These little details i find really nice...

Yeah little touches like this can improve the overall look of a character. Helps them stand out a little too.

  12. Started Tomoko's route in Canvas 2. I usually ignore tsundere routes, but she has a nice sounding and unique voice in this. I read it's different from her anime voice, though I don't remember the latter anyway. Has a nice character design too. Those two things combined with a spoiler I read that said

she's also a childhood friend, which I'm partial to; was enough to push her over the line.

Route still has some tsundere nonsense to put up with though. That particular example is over the top and borders on Nichijou-esque tsundere parody, but there are a lot of more normal moments too.

Playing Danganronpa (Trigger Happy Havoc), really getting a 999/Killer Queen vibe so far

That bear reminds me of Zero 3, it even sounds like him. I like the girl who seems to want to team up with me

Zero 3 ain't got nothing on seductive Monobear.

Coincidentally I was just listening to the anime OP. The anime is pretty bad, but it sure had a catchy OP.

  13. Been reading Canvas 2. The way the routes play out is pretty strange. There are a lot of choices, and each choice can have like 6 options. To get into a route you pretty much have to choose to see that girl every time you can. The choices aren't always "see this person", half the time it's just "go here/do this", where you just happen to run into that person. So you end up "accidentally" seeing them multiple times a day, every day. I mean, it's pretty weird to run into and socialize with the same teacher multiple times a day, including off campus.

At least the characters are likable enough for the most part. Only one tsundere, and though unreasonable as expected even she has the boon of having the best voice.

  14. Started Canvas 2. Like YnS the anime had my preferred ending, but I like Elis enough for her route to still be my priority. Seemed to get a neutral ending first time through, so I'll use a walk-through when I go back. Have seen most of her scenes, and this game's skip function is pretty solid, so I doubt it'll take too long.

  15. I haven't actually seen AT, but I've always liked this pic:

I recently read Sono Hana 3, kinda reminds me of Mai and Reo's relationship. Though Mai doesn't have quite that much self control, to just hop away like that.
