  1. I was a subscriber of Aaeru's old blog. I joined some days after it is announced I believe.
  2. Okabe Rintarou. Not exactly someone I can insert myself into, but he's pretty much the best protagonist I have ever read in a VN. Others are probably: - Kazami Yuuji (Grisaia no Kajitsu) - Kawano Hatsuyuki (Hatsuyuki Sakura) - Shiki Tohno (Tsukihime) - Hasegawa Akiomi (Yukiuta)
  3. Gore Screaming Show. Though I heard that its translation is picked up by another team?
  4. Yep, unfortunately. But I've been accustomed to skipping H-scenes in search of good story (Thanks, harukuru!). This one has potential. Also, I'm desperate for a good yuri that is not produced by Success
  5. Playing Kamitsure now. It's somewhat a mixed match between Yuri-trope and Alice in Wonderland. It's pretty good so far...
  6. Oh, I thought since login is required to open the session, I assumed that username and password are required. But apparently not after I reread the doc. orz. Also, thanks for the binary! The get commands are already enough for my needs.
  7. Hatoful is actually excellent story-wise, especially when you enter the true route. Though the other routes are somewhat wacky (not necessarily bad btw, but weird).
  8. Brush knife and the kind of face that I want to punch, 8/10.
  9. Well, that depends if you just want to learn Ruby (the language), or take things further to Rails (the web framework). TryRuby is decent enough to introduce Ruby. If you want to learn Rails, Michael Hartl book is pretty much recommended everywhere you ask. It is a very heavy book however, since it will teach a lot of web development practices (git, unit testing, security, heroku, etc2) rather than just Rails itself. If you just want to code for fun, I recommend to just learn Ruby and use Sinatra, a simpler web framework compared with Rails
  10. Well, to be fair, it is easy to fail spectacularly when people are under pressure. Also, Smart Person's Mirage exists. I'm personally a fan of MEAN stack, though I'm using Ruby on Rails for my job.
  11. Hmm, you don't have to. I'm just interested in any current implementation, for learning purpose Nice! I added your app to the OP post. It's been years since I had Visual Studio installed, so I just took a quick look of your code. Can you provide me an executable (for 64-bit machine)? For login, you can always use a dummy account. Or just prompt the user for username and password when initiating the session. Or maybe I should install VS again, but my bandwidth is not that good at the moment
  12. It's been on my wishlist. The moment I saw this CG, I knew that I had to read this VN sometimes in the future. Thanks for the review!
  13. Though I disagree with some, a lot have been mentioned. Here are the others (imo): Koitate (only 2 routes translated however) Hanachirasu
  14. This. Also, it has pigeons. People love weird things.
  15. I was actually thinking of playing around the API this weekend, learning something else at the same time.
  16. I stumbled upon this: https://vndb.org/d11 I'm pretty sure there are apps that make use of this. Can anyone tell me any of those? I'm especially interested if there is an app with a much better vndb filtering. App List VNDB Console Client by Fred the Barber
  17. I assume that you are also asking for trap protagonist (different than genderbending in my opinion), but Koisuru Otome to Shugo no Tate is one of my favorite trap VN. There are 2 translated routes iirc. Imo, they are not the best routes (Sanada route is the best!), but they should serve you well as what I really liked most is the comedy.
  18. For untranslated one, the first hour for Harumade Kururu is basically just a collection of mindless fucks, before switching entirely to mindfuckery for the rest of the game.
  19. I use Skype these days, can you add me to the group? My id is Permagate
  20. Agreed with this. In particular, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien very much fits OP description. Since he asked about translated VN however... One route in Da Capo II also has love triangle as the major theme. I really liked the side ending in that route too. Though if you enter the other heroine's route, it's not as important. iirc, one route in A Profile involves love triangle a central plot point. Though I don't think it sounds like what you want. Rather than central plot point, it's more like plot device I feel.
  21. I don't expect much, but I'm definitely looking forward to this.
  22. Probably watching more animes. I'm still reading novels and manga quite a bit, but I have stopped watching anime altogether since I read VN.
  23. Honestly, what piques my interest in Kamitsure is because one of the heroine is tagged 'Engages In - Masochism'. I'd love to see that in a seemingly innocuous yuri VN. But still, if it turns to be a serious yuri (not just moe stuffs), it is a huge plus! I heard that Abyss protagonist is amoral, somewhat similiar with SHIKI (capped)?
