Was reminded of this quote again it's pretty much one of my most favorite quotes
"Every once in a while, I remember something I did when I was a child. Or something that was done to me, by my father, or my brother, or a cousin. Some injury. Some humiliation. And it seems like... it happened to another person, a century or two ago. I'm not really sure if what I remember really took place at all. You can't build your life, relying on the perception of a little boy, or the echos of some memory. Nah. You got to let all that shit go. You gotta start, fresh. Every single day. You have got to start again."

A lot of the traps look more like girls than actual girls.

Well I don't mean there's anything wrong with the first 1/3 at all - just that the intensity of the last 1/3 is so amazing it's hard to stop watching. Not that you don't know that already.  "Let It Out" is one of my all time favourite anime theme songs EVER.  I carry it around with me in the car and listen to it regularly (along with Starlight, also by Miho Fukuhara who is a truly amazing singer) but it annoys the heck out of me that the audio in it is clipped; so much so that I bought izotope software specifically to declip these two tracks by her.

You're not the only one who likes 2003 better, but that would be the less common opinion. I found FMAB 1000x better than FMA, but to each their own.

Princess waltz wars really good in terms of story up until the first half. The second half, (after the trollish ending) was a mess. A very vague ending. No meaningful conclusion. Routes, were just different sex scenes and the gameplay elements at the time of route choice became very repetitive, (continuous 8 mini games I think) doing that 5 times for 5 girls was... ugh.
Overall if they ended princes waltz at the halfway point, (first fake-ish ending) I would have rated it higher than I did

For once..nah actually it's the second time, i'll agree with Jun right here, now that the show is over, i have a less heated up opinion about it, and i can apply cold logic to it.
The show has a lot of flaws, flaws that are kinda inherent to the isekai genre and the LN format, but the MC is not, the writing isn't cut clean, but that's because of the LN format, not really because of inconsistence, the same can be said about VN adaptation, where you clearely feel the "route" construction in such adaptations, but still, the idea is executed, maybe not to its fullest, but still.

The thing is... being a shitbag is not a flaw of the anime. The MC is meant to be that. Socially-wise, he's a worthless piece of shit that gets transported to a fantasy world. His broken personality is not an inconsistency of the show, it's part of the character.
