  1. welcome to the forum~ I guess I'm a bit late, huh. but still there you go, hope you enjoy your time here! I am also an avid gamer, though my first game was on a PSOne, but it seems like we have similar taste~
  2. ah, I have stumbled upon your blog recently and it turns out you're also a part of the fuwanovel's community~ I have read your VN review of hatsuyuki sakura and I honestly agree with it. Keep up the good work~

    VN Haul

ah, so you're living in japan. No wonder~ you should definitely play Tsujidou, it's very interesting, just like all the other titles the company have released~ as for having a delivery service, that would be interesting. I already have a kind of delivery service there, but having more would be great~
  4. Oh, so there are some in sydney huh. Gotta check those out then. I am in melbourne and strictly speaking there isn't an anime convention that I know of here, except for events organized by local schools that I went to.
  5. welcome to the forum~ you should try rewrite and the harvest festa, it's very good and I hope they'll be able to finish the translation soon~
  6. Hmm, I started with ME2 since I had used a PS3 to play it, but got to know the first ME through a kind of summary, but I gotta say, it's a very long expanding story that I just love. When I heard so many people say the ending was bad or something like that, I got interested to play it and when I did, I liked it immediately. The story was very engaging and the fact that our choices affects the ending makes it even better. My favourite scene would have to be the ending, any of them. Each of the endings give the series a well deserved epilogue. And though I would have liked them to elaborate some parts, the ending gives me a sense of closure to the whole series and that is why it is my favorite
  7. beside the aforementioned sequels to koihime musou, you might also want to try titles such as eiyuu senki which is basically the same thing, just on a more global scale (king arthur, napoleon and such) though it's still untranslated up until this point I believe. Daibanchou and sengoku rance are another two options that are translated, though as you say, you might not be able to take in some of the scenes as compared to these two titles, koihime musou is much more... tame I guess
  8. Right now, I have 3 months of holiday, which means I'll be able to catch up with my (long) list of VN. Right now I am playing Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road, and I like it so far. Hopefully we'll be able to see some more translations of recent VN such as this one
  9. I have played this years ago, so I can't be sure 100% but I believe that it is a linear style of VN where there's only one ending. I don't even think that there is a proper choice like in a typical VN in this game. I still think that this VN is quite a good combination of Visual novel and srpg though. P.S.: and you shouldn't hold me to that, since as I have said, I am not completely sure. So just play the game~
  10. oh, wow. I will have too many opinion about this since I basically follow most anime every season but one or two, but I will just give two thoughts on two specific anime I am watching this season Code:Breaker - I read the manga some time ago, and when I see it's going to be adapted, I say why not right? the first thing that strikes me in this anime has got to be the female protagonists' seiyuu/VA. But the storyline is a typical shounen style plot, so I only really focuses on how will they adapt it. And so far, I am really liking it simply because of the difference between the manga and anime. Robotic;Notes - It's a solid anime adaptation that stay quite true to the original source from what I can see so far, though I have missed the last 3 episodes... but it's quite good for those that have played/watched Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate, since they will be able to see some references being made.

oh, I am playing Tsujidou san no Jun'ai road right now. Have you started on any of them?
  12. well, really. Discussing power levels on something as... inconclusive as this is going to be quite difficult. If you guys have visited the beast's lair, you'll find some flame wars about different powerlevels discussion, so I am just going to be civil about this. In my personal opinion (very personal), shiki tohno will be able to stand on equal grounds against servants. This is mainly due to what I see from characters like souichiro (with enhancement from caster) and kotomine fare against servants. Now, talking about the ability of killing them, as in using MEoDP to cut the lines of death/pierce points of death or whatever, I will say that it depends on whether he can see the lines, and this will again depend on some definitions of servants. if he is able to see, them and obviously traced/stab them, then I would say yes, he can kill them.
  13. It is indeed an epic VN, and as many before me have said, the depiction of war is very real, and I don't know how playing this kind of games or rather reading this kind of story are on people that have experience actual war, so I can't say for sure how it eill affect you. Now in terms of the war, it definitely feels realistic though obviously it is heavily sci-fi. The feeling of loss, despair and horror are really strong and also on camaraderie and hope. I guess that's all I have to say, but I would still suggest anyone to see its conclusion
  14. I have already played it, perhaps a year ago not knowing there was a translation. I also have played it again with the translation and I can say that I certainly would like to see their finished product.
  15. it woould be quite a big spoiler to say, but... But my main point about gory is that this VN have a lot of action (quite a lot, which is great) they are not afraid of describing specific details, which some might find extreme. I cannot judge it as it will be quite biased, so you'll have to see for yourself. As Tay said though, this is the greatest VN ever~ and it is a fact~
  16. Ryoji, since I've read about the bad end you encountered in G-Senjou and your opinion of it, I have to give you a warning. I don't remember if there were much graphical gore. But there will certainly be quite a lot of gory description, so you'll do well to prepare for it. And there is 50 bad ends in this game
  17. oh okay seems like it's already solved then. That ending definitely took me by surprise though, especially since it's the first ending I got I believe. I agree that it is quite... gruesome in that ending, and I think another one, though I can't really remember it since I have played it around the time the patch came out. After reading this though, maybe I should replay the whole game. I mean G-Senjou was very good, and the true ending especially so
  18. yeah, there are several ways that you can do it, but if you have no idea how to rip a script from the game, using the annot stream, which is pretty good now that I have tried it. Anyway, good luck on your project~
  19. yep, you can even change the gender of the protag, which is quite interesting to say the least.
  20. I have done all three routes and saber routes twice actually, to just try to beat a certain secret boss you can challenge in new game+ just heads up there for you guys~ I ciuldn't do it with caster or archer... guess not enough grinding... anyway, both archer and caster are very cool, even with the usual big reveal of their identity. It's great, and I somehow feel I'm learning so much playing these type-moon games, just from googling figures, histories and legends . And regarding the figure, I get this box http://www.kotaku.com.au/2012/07/its-called-the-virgin-white-box-set/ and this is the figure that comes with it http://myfigurecollection.net/item/82466
  21. basically, it is an amazing prequel to F/SN and it enhances the experieence if anything. I actually read the light novel first before the anime, but still the adaptation was also amazingly done. I do not actually see what not to like about the anime or Fate/Zero. It is also a solid standalone, so people that haven't played the game can still enjoy a very good anime.
  22. Favorite Route - Heaven's Feel Favorite Heroine - Saber! Favorite Servant - Saber! I played Fate/Stay Night around... 6 years ago, I think? I can't really remember exactly when, but when I played it, I immediately loved saber. The first reason is most likely because I loved arthurian legend in general, and when I saw the first Excalibur hint, I was ecstatic. The second reason is the twist they put on her history simply by the genderbend, and at the time I was very impressed with how they did it (I am still impressed by it even now). And finally, she is definitely my type In terms of the route, heaven's feel is definitely it for me. It brings everything into close basically.
  23. no problem. And also as a side note, once you have gotten through the first walkthrough, the game is going to get more fun, since there are more options available for you. You can get nitori which is probably the strongest miko class in the game. You could actually get her in the first walkthrough if you want to, I think. Anyway, have fun~
  24. it's funny that when I did my first play on KS on the demo, I ended up with Lilly's route, and then some months after that, I played the full version and got Lilly's route first again. Her route is for me the best, because perhaps some of the problems she encountered are also some that I have encountered. Of course it's not about her disability, but I felt the most connection with her, and yeah... It is also similar with hanako's route in a way, and that is why they are tied quite closely together in the VN. And I also agree that Rin's route is quite different from Hanako/Lilly route, but they are quite amazing nonetheless
  25. right, for some reason the Fate/Stay Night didn't show, lol. Sorry about that. If it's F/SN it's too easy for me. 1. Reality marble, for the reason I have stated above 2. Avalon, because who doesn't want eternal youth and ultimate protection right? 3. Being a Master (is that even an ability, lol). I would love to be a master, and have your own servant, regardless of the servant
