  1. yep, and I also tried the steins;gate one. it was mostly the usual love comedy thing going on, so I didn't really continue playing it
  2. I don't know the specifics of the system in itself, but I believe that it is the same case as many western countries in which the legal guardian (the parents or other guardians) are entitled to the final decision. I might have to ask some of my friends over in Japan though.
  3. yep, with this I've pretty much played all of the persona series really loving it. On my second walkthrough now and it's not getting boring anytime soon. on the pc though, I am now playing Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, and I'm also enjoying it. The PS3 patch really changes the art and also with the voice, I gotta say it's a lot better than the original.
  4. lol, I made an account a few months ago and I stopped playing after I see that they're going to release an english version around next year. I usually play it using a controller since that's what I am really used to (have been playing PSU and its sequels quite a lot). But if we want to make a party or something, I'm totally up for it~
  5. Alrighty, welcome to the forum steve~ First of all, I really don't mind any long intros, I might actually say I prefer them, though my intro was pretty short. As a part of a VN community, it's a given that most of us likes reading anyway. I've met and befriended a lot of people who like loli and/or is a lolicon, bot in internet and some in real life, so even though I wouldn't prefer them, I totally understand the reason to like them. And I'm pretty sure that the fanbase for loli is actually quite big, otherwise you wouldn't be seeing so much of them Right now, I don't have a personal set-up like what you have there, mainly since I can't really afford it, but I agree that you need to get in the mood and one way of doing that is to be getting a good position and angle. as for hcg and something like that, I always prefer to play the game, nukige or otherwise and since my japanese comprehension is decent, I can play them with little assistance. Just like you though, my japanese and english started as more of a passive learning, ever since I watched my first anime with english subs. though I ended up learning very high english skills in high middle school up to high school, which is not the case for japanese. I have recently take more japanese lessons though. I really love the language and the country and I want to be fluent at it, if possible as fluent as I am in English now, but that's enough about me. Anyway, welcome once again, and I may visit the server chat sometimes~
  6. well, I watched the anime after I've finished the VN, and that's what I usually do with these adaptations: look at the original source first. I may get the chaos;head noah, though I haven't even finished robotics;notes, and my money is running thin back onto the topic though, it is quite epic in some ways and quite mind blowing in another way, and I really liked it
  7. welcome! while knowing lots of VN is sure to increase your knowledge, it shouldn't stop you from participating in any discussions you want to be a part of. Anyway, it's nice to meet you and have fun
  8. well, dunno if you would classify it as a VN per se, but I am playing through P4G and really enjoying it~
  9. from what I can see, there is an error in some of the scripts. make sure they are downloaded properly and nothing is missing.
  10. uh, you know you can edit your own post right~ anyway, welcome to the forum alden. While I usually raged at those who stopped playing F/SN a few years ago, I have learn since then that... there's no reason of doing it, but I wouldn't stop recommending people of it anytime soon and good to have you here
  11. welcome to the forum qberty, I indeed understand the attachment for VN, which may be akin to one's attachment to other hobbies~ As to answer your questions, it really depends on what you DON'T like, hate or even detest. I am a person that doesn't really hate anything but yaoi or futanari (if you know what these are) so I'll pretty much recommend every VN that do not have these~ And for the second one, every VN have a cliche plot or settings in them and also a unique properties that only they have, like how KEY do their VN or how Type-Moon do it. A publisher may even have several VN that have nothing in common with one another (though that's rare). What I'm saying is that every VN would have these "little difference", it's what make us want to play them all. In the end though, if I have to recommend VN I wouldn't play, it would be the ones classified as Nukige as they have no real plot
  12. well, not knowing how to describe it is a pretty good description in this case let's see, try to change your system locale to japanese and tell me if that works
  13. so, you have reached chapter 2, huh. I hear that many people couldn't progress after this point (due to many reasons) but for me personally, I am the type to see things through. Now, you may not be the same, but I strongly suggest that you continue. G-Senjou no maou is one of those VN you just have to finish entirely to truly be appreciated
  14. First of all, that walkthrough is very confusing, so I suggest you used alicesoft wiki's walkthrough and info to play sengoku rance. onto your problem, the mamushi oil field is located just above owari (where you started on). here's the image
  15. I cannot see the image, it says that the url is incorrect. can you try to put it elsewhere or describe the problem?
  16. well, I just returned from Aussie, but I am lcurrently living in Australia, so I can definitely stream something. I am in indonesia right now though, so I'll get a better ISP first~
  17. welcome to the forum, you'll be an avid VN player after a while~ just keep at it~
  18. welcome to the forum, though by the looks of it, you're not exactly new here are you~ anyway, glad to see that this forum is getting around~
  19. Let's see, I've played a few otome games, some which have H content and some that does not. The second reproduction is not bad, and black wolves saga is also quite good (though I've only played the second reproduction). I don't think that reading/playing otome game is any different from playing an eroge or galge in terms of what it can offer which are great stories, great characters, etc.
  20. well, I agree with what starfighter say here. I personally prefer that there is a semblance of romance, but it should never be forced. If the focus was never on the romance, then a good story will still be a good story without it. Again my preference is that there is romance as I am really interested to see different kinds of bonds and relations that people make with each other. Of course it does not have to be romance. With the second thought, if it's possible that the heroine might be with someone else, as is the case for... kimikiss for example, then I say why not? I agree that as long as they're happy, it should happen.
  21. I have watched Nukocafe several times, and one of the things we could really improve on is the interactions to the viewers. We should plan a set time, so everyone interested will know. On that note, once I get a better internet plan, I might do some VN streaming, perhaps based on votes, or otherwise stream some VN that I am currently playing. P.S. The usual number of people watching Nukocafe's stream (when I saw it) was around 10 or less. We need to increase the awareness~
  22. I personally did not use any walkthrough to get to the routes I wanted, which was Kotori (yeah Kotori!) but there is a specific way to get into the routes. The easiest way to do it would be to follow the walkthrough that Aaeru gave there
  23. That is a very interesting customisation indeed. And welcome to the forum~
  24. oh, this is quite good for a new way to play it. I would be interested to see more out of this VNDS in the future~
  25. hmm, if Little busters was an original anime, I would say it's not so bad, but knowing the original source I say that it does not compare. Onto the topic in question though, the anime is honestly not too bad, although I dislike the way they mixed the routes somewhat and adding a completely new scene around the end (you'll know it when you get there). But overall I say it's a good start, at least compared to another type moon adaptation that I don't like
