Did you try disabling UAC (User Account Control)? If not, use search (the magnifying glass icon in the charms bar) and type UAC. Click it then change the setting to "Never notify" by dragging down the slider. It fixes compatability with old games and issues with saves for most VNs so it might work for this too.

This is actually the main reason why I picked this nick.

I'm currently using Windows 8 right now to play games and VNs. I can say that all apps that works with 7 runs fine here. The key is to disable the annonying UAC (User Account Control) that shoves alert windows in your face everytime you open up something that requires higher privileges. UAC somewhat breaks apps that doesn't support it like most old games. Compatability mode also helps as I use it to run Battle Realms when my cousins come over =D But, I recommend NOT upgrading to 8.1 because I had various issues with it even when using compatability mode and UAC turned off. I cannot run Age of Empires 3, Battle Realms, Starcraft and some other old games like in 8. Old games also break DWM(Windows Aero) until I restart the PC.

If anyone here also likes dark themed stuff (and ecchi) then I would recommend Speed Grapher. Trust me, the plot is "darker" than 'darker than black' (pun intended)

Yep, most of the team now is getting busy irl. The problem with the line count is still being sorted by recc42, Sora, and derpireg. Until each extracted scripts is double checked against the VN, and missing lines are filled, I guess there's no point in doing a line count if its not accurate . Thanks for volunteering thou

Hello I've been a member for 2 months now but haven't made a proper introduction. So without further adieu, lets start. I'm forum, pleased to meet you guys. Initially, I just joined for the sake of communication with Walkure team and I'm currently an editor there btw. I enjoy reading VNs casually when I'm bored or want a change of pace. I also have no particular preference and read anything as long as its interesting. I dunno what to say anymore so that is all.

That sometimes happen when an advert links to a malware or phishing site. But seeing fuwanovel is free from ads, I'd say its just a false positive, or possibly your dns might be compromised. Local ISPs are often times subjected to attacks with some chance of exploits making through. Try to use OpenDNS or GoogleDNS and see if chrome still acts up.

I had the same problem with some old games crashing in windows 7 before. It is completely possible as long as you have the right hardware available. I recommend at least a 2 core processor with Intel VT-x, or AMD-V extension support, at least 4Gigs of ram and 50Gigs of hard disk space As for the software, VirtualBox is the best free VM that I know. If you have the cash, then choose VMWare Workstation (not affordable really).

I'll just add this here: Shikoku no Sharnoth - has a gameplay a bit of like pacman Minna Daisuki Kozukuri Banchou (nukige)- If played the pin minigame in TWEWY in the DS, then this will be very familiar Corpse Party - a horror PSP game, you will need an emulator for this Monmusu Quest - very easy game, but nevertheless very fun with the humor But really if you're after gameplay, then it's better for you to find some JRPG games like YS chronicles and the likes.
