Another update, and it's in regard of what PyroCyan said on Reddit. I'll quote his statements fully below.
So yeah our PyroCyan here has the full translation patch that also have the TLC change up to Chapter 3, and in case there's a heavy emergency such as the team decided to abandoned this then he'll drop the patch as the leak. As for whether we can see this on Spring or Fall next year, we'll see. If anything else, at least we already have someone who will leak the patch later if things goes awry, although of course the leak should be treated as the last resort only and so we should wait to finally have the programming be done.
PS - Oh yes in case anyone wonder on how much final TLC on Chapter 4 (Licia's chapter) ongoing, currently it's been at 92.24% done (By the way I mentioned this as 'in programming' in my VNTS Review because there's some earlier mention that the TLC is already done for all chapters).

    Description
In H2O -Footprints in the Sand-, Hirose Takuma is a blind middle school student, though the cause for his blindness is undetermined. After his mother died unexpectedly, it left a deep emotional scar on him, causing him to become lonely and reserved. Due to this, Takuma moves from the city out into a rural area to live with his uncle and Takuma is enrolled into a new middle school. There, he meets several new girls, including the firm and obstinate Kohinata Hayami, the kind and obliging Kagura Hinata, and the cheerful and mysterious Otoha.
In √ after and another, there are new after stories for two of the heroines from H2O (Hayami and Hinata), plus new routes for Yui and Hamaji/Yukiji, the latter of which also unlocks Maki's route.
A version merging both games into one was later released, H2O √ after and another Complete story Edition.

    Where to purchase
The game can be purchased legally from DMM (https://dlsoft.dmm.co.jp/detail/mnphs_0007/), but a Japanese proxy/VPN may be necessary to purchase it. That is where I obtained my copy. It goes on sale quite often, although it's pretty cheap even at full price, considering its age.
    Project

The English localization project is being conducted by Studio Frisay, fresh off the completed Imasugu Onii-chan ni Imouto datte Iitai! project. As before I (Tooko) will be doing all of the translating and editing of the script, along with probably most of the image editing, and any engine work that needs to be done (of which is very little).

    Progress
Programming: The game is built on the BGI/Ethornell engine, as with Imaimo before it, so I'm already familiar with how the engine works and have all the resources necessary to apply any hacks and build the completed patch once everything is done. In fact, there's a lot less work this time around on that front because the structure is a lot simpler, being a NVL game instead of an ADV game.
Translation: The translation officially commenced on August 10, 2022 and was completed on January 28, 2023, although progress was initially very slow because of the ongoing work for the Imaimo patch at the time. However, I already translated a decent amount of the script (20%) by the time I announced the project a couple months later in October. The game has 73,547 lines across 167 scenario files split up between the common route and six character routes:
    Common: 6953 / 6953: 100%
    Hayami: 20620 / 20620: 100%
    Hinata: 14112 / 14112: 100%
    Yui: 13151 / 13151: 100%
    Hamaji: 4973 / 4973: 100%
    Maki: 5437 / 5437: 100%
    Otoha: 8301 / 8301: 100%
    Total: 73547 / 73547: 100%
Images and videos: Aside from minor tweaks, all of the in-game images in need of editing are now completed. Editing of images is shared between me and nReus, who will also be typesetting lyrics onto the 9 OP/ED videos. The images include about 110 for the UI, and about 335 for the rest of the game, although most of those are minor variations on each other, so the actual number of unique images is much less.
Editing: The editing of the game's text officially commenced on February 10, 2023, and it was completed on July 10, 2023.
QC: The quality check phase involves going through a normal playthrough to check for any problems with the patch files and their rendering. This should took about two months, completing in early September. The patch is scheduled for release on September 8, 21:00 UTC.

Late to mention this, and as of now the Mini After Stories is fully translated with the team doing the rest of the works (ie editing and playtesting with two out of three routes are already finished with playtesting). Also seeing that it's quite short as seen from the name alone, it should be obvious that the wait won't be too long if all goes well.

All the reinsertion of text and graphics has gone well after sorting out any issues we discovered thanks to Blake's graphic editing and Porygon2's programming. Just dealing with a remaining niggling issue to do with the H memorial scenes not all working. Hopefully that won't take too long to fix.

I can see that the first impression here is definitely not the sign on how people will act, although after three times he keep posting like that obviously it'll raise some eyebrows. Not to mention that his first post here is just directly ask for the release rashly, which to say can be treated as rude and entitled. Also while I'm obviously lamented that Yoake didn't have the sex scenes translated, the all age version here has two additional routes which mean more contents for the story so it's logical if the translator chose the version that has more story (If anything else, Yoake here is like Aselia). By the way if one year is all he need to be snapped by the lack of update, imagine what would happen if he is been waiting for Eustia until now (Although he may as well was already snapped because of the wait for Eustia here).
Lastly while it's still too bad that August VN here is cursed, seeing that nowadays there's a lot of translated VNs released from the other groups or companies with several VNs are from one company (ie Yuzusoft, Alice Soft, Smee, and Marmalade with Yuzusoft is previously thought as another cursed company), it would be better to just move on instead of being obsessed by one company because it's clear on how much it does to the mental health (If the banned user is not trolling that is).

I see someone pretty much obsessed with August VN so much he said some inappropriate words. I can only say that if the lack of updates of it (Never mind that Senmomo so far has regular updates in regard of editing) drive someone into being rude here, then perhaps it would be better for that person to learn Japanese and forgot about the English project of it. I know that I shouldn't say this, but sometimes extreme situation need extreme solution.

Hello to everyone who's been following this project over the past several months. I'm now over halfway through the QC at 55%, having completed the common route, along with Matsuri's and Kimika's routes. So far I've fixed over 500 lines (out of around 25,000), which amounts to about 2% of the lines on average that need fixing. About half of those involve some sort of typo, grammatical error, or a word that needs to be added or removed. The other half has to do with a quirk with the engine where punctuation hangs over a line, being placed onto the line below it instead of the whole word its attached to automatically being bumped down like it normally does for long words at the ends of lines, which are easy enough to fix by just adding a line break, but those are definitely the most annoying bits of the QC.
Also, on my way through the QC, I noticed several mistakes/bugs the devs didn't catch when they released the game. Two of which were problematic when recompiling the script, but I found a solution for them. Another 2 had to do with voiced lines, and there is at least one obvious sprite that should have been something else.
Other than that, there are some stylistic decisions I've found a bit odd at times, like parts of certain scenes where I would expect there to be music but instead there's silence, or how that Rikuto isn't voiced throughout the entire game. Oh, and there's no video playback option in the extra menu, sadly. Speaking of videos, it's likely that the subtitled OP/EDs for the game won't be done by the time the patch is released, so they'll be released later as a kind of bonus extra. They'd have to be released separately from the patch anyway, since the videos make up 1.32 GB in the game folder, whereas the patch will be around 450 MB.
And so, this will probably be my last post here before the release, which I can now give a definite date: The English patch will be released on September 9. And I even managed to get it out before the game's 10th anniversary in December, so that's at least something, seeing as how I originally thought it was going to take me until next year to release it. So until then.
Edit: The subtitled videos were completed on time and will be released with the completed patch.

No, and I don't expect there to be any such offer. If Koichoco never got officially localized, the possibility of it happening to Imaimo is even less likely, just based on the niche nature of the game and that it's not even an eroge. For what it's worth, I know I'm putting out a quality translation, but I'll let it speak for itself once it gets released next month. Percentage wise, I'm currently 38% through the QC.

As far as you can see from the post above, obviously the former is not happening here especially with the OP delete his Twitter and Nekonyan already got the license for Clover Days (Formerly the OP main translation project). While for the latter, the answer is I don't know if someone else worked on this as of now.

Maya reacted to Tooko in [Studio Frisay] Imasugu Onii-chan ni Imouto datte Iitai! Translation Project [Released]
Finally, after 12 weeks of daily work, the translation is officially complete as of today, June 27. But all of that will have to be edited later on this summer. In the meantime, image editing will commence immediately, starting with the UI images, of which there's 33 individual images that have text that needs to be translated/edited. Then there are a bunch of other background CGs with text that have to be done, too. I'm not sure how long the images will take.
Also, thanks to nReus for offering to translate and typset the OP/EDs. I wasn't originally planning on doing them since I've never done that sort of typsetting before, so I'm really thankful that the patch will have that little bit extra bonus. Also, it's crazy that we had coincidentally started translating the game independently of each other at almost exactly the same time, but I appreciate being allowed to translate the entire game on my own. nReus has also kindly offered to help me edit some of the images, so hopefully that will speed things up a little on that front.

Finally a quicker update than usual. I actually managed to finish translating Mao's arc much faster than I expected, but that mainly lends itself to Katagi Kou's relatively straightforward writing style that I've gotten quite used to over the course of translating the common route and Matsuri's route that he also wrote. But also, I confess, I had a lot of fun reading through Mao's arc. Like, a lot of fun. That's not to say I haven't enjoyed the entire story thus far. I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't love the story, obviously. But each arc has its own unique attractions and charms to them, which should be the goal of any visual novel. Can I just say that I think it's a shame that Katagi Kou only ever (primarily) wrote Koichoco and Imaimo? The whole reason why I even picked up the project was because I loved Koichoco on the whole (it wasn't perfect, but no game is) and wanted to read more of what the author wrote, only to find he wrote only one other game.
But enough of my ranting. The total translation stands at 73.1% complete with one route left, the behemoth herself, Ayumu. But knowing that hers is the only one left makes it a little easier mentally, even if it's just over 12,000 lines strong. So I can finally see the light as the end of the translation tunnel, but there will still be a ton of work to do after that, meaning the patch won't actually be out for many more months, but at least I'm nearing the end of that major hurdle. Hopefully I'll have made a good chunk of progress through Ayumu's arc by the Sunday update. So until the next update.

Two more milestones have been met in the past week. The first is that over 50% of the game has been translated as of June 2, and also that Kimika's route is now fully translated, bringing the total translation up to 55%.
Last time, I had mentioned that Kimika's route is the shortest, and although that's technically true by line count, I looked over the individual character counts again and I realized that Kimika actually has about 150,000 characters (kanji/kana), which is almost exactly how many characters the common route has, despite the common route being almost 1,200 lines longer. At first I wasn't sure what to make of this, but now that I've gone through Kimika's arc, I can say that Tanizaki Ouka tends to be more verbose and descriptive than Katagi Kou, and although this can really enhance the story at certain times, other times it can be a little too much since Tanizaki can also be very repetitive. Either way, it was interesting seeing how different their two writing styles are, and how they also mesh well together when the game is taken as a whole.
So, if it wasn't obvious already, I'll be working on Mao's arc next, which by both line count and character count is almost exactly the same length as Matsuri's arc, with just slightly less lines and less characters. I've been leaving Ayumu to do last since her arc is the longest by far, taking up almost 27% of the entire game's content with 131 individual scenario files, so yeah, that'll be interesting. So until the next status update, I'll just keep plugging away at it.

All the positive guys need to understand the other perspective as well. Many many projects have failed as can be seen on this forum. You need to understand that a public announcement like this carries consequences and some responsibility (if you don't wanna get criticized) - people can get mad even if it is a passion project, after all something has been announced and in a way promised. Keep in mind this has been in translation since 2017 and is still not out. OP hadn't posted in the thread for a full year. New people can come in and see that seemingly nothing has been happening recently and ask questions. There is nothing wrong with some argumented criticism and some people are more pessimistic which in my opinion is fine. Coupled that there was no communication for a while and suddenly very slow progress + the reddit comment I think it was not too far fetched to cast some doubt at the time.

To the negative guys: Now is it somewhat of an jerk thing to come in and declare the project dead and spread panic so to say after not too much time has passed since the last progress update, yeah it might be. And after all it is a passion project - we are not owed anything and as pessimists you should understand that this TL patch might never come out at all considering all the abandoned projects. Considering we've already gotten a partial patch and progress has been ongoing for years, a sudden cancellation seems somewhat unlikely. Considering his years long engagement I think the main translator would tell us if he suddenly decided to stop the project if he had the opportunity to. Also progress never truly stopped, it just became very slow.

At the end of the day what we need is communication between the TL team and the forum here so stuff like this doesn't happen. When progress almost crawls to a halt and nothing has been posted it's obvious some people will feel uneasy after checking the thread for a few years now. I feel like both sides had something to say but neither is completely right. Just blindly believing it will come out no matter what(this seems to me naive or at least too positive, after all people have expectations and projects often fail, and this is a discussion board + the happy-go-lucky attitude doesn't go with a lot of people) or declaring the project dead(which I wasn't convinced at all at the time - there was progress made, just very slow so it was an active project and just sayings it's dead is false and can confuse new people) is no good.

The team was just announce that it's their current project, and yes it's after CODA. That said though, the project for it was just started so it should be obvious that there's no release time estimation for Mini After Story here. It's quite short though from what I see, so at least the wait shouldn't be as long as original White Album 2 here.
