  1. Ohhh thanks! I was confused about that haha Still a little confused what you mean be "Under Account Settings" though.
  2. Hi there! I see amazing posts on our forums and lemma soft's forums with these beautiful pictures that lead to links and I'd really like to know how to do that as well. For example, a lot of posts promoting their projects have a button that says "Support our Kickstarter" or "Download Our Demo." Does anyone know how I could do that? Also, I've seen the same thing on reddit which I have no clue how they did that because everytime I Google how to do those things it always says you can only post direct links from imgur. But if anyone knows how to do the same buttons for reddit or even how to make pictures show up in reddit, I'd really appreciate the help. Also, this is going to make me sound really dumb but does the tag [BxG] mean boy and girl? I've also seen [GxB] and I'm like... is that different? Lol thanks for the help!

  4. RockTheClockGaming, an independent game company of two, Caty Herndon and Marty Duff, presents to you, its first game, The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot! We've been working hard at this game for almost 2 years now and we're still not done! So please keep in mind that everything you see here may change in the future. The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot, is an exciting point and click adventure game where you search for clues, question witnesses, and put together the facts to figure out who dun it! In addition to this, it is also a visual novel with a rich story driven by the ever optimistic protagonist Grace Sinclair! Available for PC, Linux, and Mac. Download here!!! Please Support Us Here: Kickstarter Trailer Synopsis Grace Sinclair is a less than stellar student. In fact, she’s flunked out of her high school at 20 years old! That’s not even the worst of her problems. When she gets home later that day, her dad kicks her out! Now starving and homeless, our hero bravely steals a snack from the convenience store on the other side of town. Just then, a masked man comes in! He holds up the store, waving a gun around and demands for all the money in the register or there’ll be consequences. The police show up and out of luck, Grace is able to help them find out the identity of the robber. The head detective, Delilah Araceli, is so impressed she offers Grace a job. Feeling that this may be her chance to make a true difference in the world, she accepts the job! The only problem is, Grace does NOT have good reasoning skills and on top of that has a condition where she faints at the sight of blood! As you progress through the story, it’s up to Grace to solve cases from homicide to domestic abuse to the legends of the mysterious and murderous serial killer known only as “The Banshee”. All while she’s hiding her secret from her quirky co-workers, who I remind you are DETECTIVES, or else she’ll end up back on the streets! She’ll have to solve her hardest case yet when she faces, The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot. Here's what other people thought of our game when they play tested it! Characters Grace Sinclair Very optimistic, caring, and naive. She’s terrible at English (held back twice because of reading problems and started school a year late). Absolutely, adores her dad and takes care of him when he has episodes of intense depression. Faints at the sight of blood. Lem Yasui Very perceptive and sarcastic. He finds others in awkward or uncomfortable situations funny, and takes great enjoyment in placing them there though he’d never do anything to cause others harm. Has a lot of confidence and this can sometimes lead him to do odd things that he is convinced is normal such as ride elevators with his back turned to the door. He is also not very good at expressing his feelings or hearing feelings from others and can be rightly classified as a tsundere. Delilah Araceli Smart, clever, beautiful, and kind. Though she is intelligent and fun to be around, she is unaware of these qualities and as a result is self doubting and socially awkward. She believes that using the younger generation’s lingo will make her seem younger and more attractive but often comes off as trying too hard. George Poppell Family-oriented, can’t talk enough about his kids. Even carries around their sonograms and birth certificates. He’s not very social, and usually declares dramatic statements incorrectly when excited. For example, when he proposed to his wife, he told her he was having heart failure. When she insisted on bringing him to the hospital, he frantically apologized and said he meant that she had stolen his heart and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Bernard Bejerot At his job, Bernard is very enthusiastic and no rule is too small to break. Off the clock, he is very endearing and kind. He cries at every movie where a county law is broken. He can’t get angry without tearing up and sincerely believes world peace can be achieved. Game Mechanics Finding Clues The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot isn't about clicking everything on the screen hoping you'll find everything. When you search for clues, everything that Grace thinks is important to the case will light up! This is done when you scroll your mouse over an important item. Everything you find is kept in the little evidence folder in the top left corner. Blood Meter Not all evidence is pretty. Sometimes they're covered in blood! Since Grace faints at the sight of blood, she can only look at 4 bloody items before passing out! It's up to you to decide which pieces of evidence will help your case or drive you around in circles! Don't worry though, the game will ask you whether or not you want to look at an item if it has blood on it. Questioning Witnesses Questioning witnesses is an important way to find clues and catch the villain! If you play good cop, some witnesses may feel comfortable opening up to you, but other witnesses will use it as a chance to take advantage of you and completely ignore your questions! If you play bad cop, some witnesses may feel scared and completely gush all the juicy details of the case! But! Other witnesses will get offended and not want to speak with you! It's up to you to figure out what kind of personality your witness has and what kinds of things you'll have to say to make them talk! If you don’t get any information out of your witness, the case will be that much harder to solve! Please support us here! 8. I've got a lot of social media accounts but my favorite is twitter cause it helps me make sure I'm not too long winded haha. And it makes it very hard to have a huge rant and I don't particularly like reading huge rants which is mostly what I see on Facebook haha. My handle is @CCNBdev if anyone is interested in following me. I mostly post things about my visual novel I'm developing tho

  10. I always hated getting bad ends in every vn I played and would always have to look up online guides to get the good end cause it was the only end I wanted to see haha. But! When I started writing a bad end for the vn I'm working on, I realized I could show a different side of my characters. So now in my good end one character goes through a major character development but in my bad end, a different character goes through a development. I think the key thing to different endings shouldn't be a punishment on the player for not getting enough affection points with their love interest but it should be a chance to show different areas where your plot could develop. That way every ending is exciting to get even if it’s "bad"
  11. Thanks! I have a small time blogger who I'm planning on giving my demo and then the full game if they’re interested once it's all completely finished of course.
  12. Thank you! Is there ever a point where you can post too much? Like is there a magic number where it starts to be sort of spammy? Cause on twitter i'll go and search for people talking about visual novels and i'll recommend following my progress but I'm scared of doing that too much but it's been the only way i've gotten followers so far.
  13. Hi everyone! I'm an indie developer of a murder mystery visual novel and boy have I been learning so much about social media marketing and realizing how little I know. It is my first visual novel after all so I did expect some bums in the road. I'm in a bit of a slow development period because I'm a full time college student and so is my artist. I decided to use this chance to create background images (I actually do those my artist does characters and gui) and so far that's going a lot faster than I imagined so I'm super stoked about that! But I also decided to make a wordpress blog and create a whole bunch of social media accounts and keeping up with them isn't the hard part. It's figuring out what kind of content people would like to see. Especially because I'm at a point where I could release a demo if I had the character sprites but I don't and I'm like ah! I really want to show off my demo and spread the cute characters and funny story I have but I can't. I'm doing character spotlights now and in the near future i'll be posting about game mechanics such as how to solve a case since my game is about being a detective. I suppose I'm wondering what other kinds of content could I produce for marketing purposes while I'm waiting for my demo to come out? And how do I stay positive with such a low follower count and low engagement with the community? Also, if anyone has like a good amount of followers on any social media site, how long did it take to get to like 100 or 1000 followers? Thanks so much for reading this crazy long post haha. Any help is appreciated!
  14. I'm having a poll on my twitter page! Come vote to tell me your favorite part about solving a case or comment down below!

  18. I'm trying to market my visual novel as well! It's the first game I've made so I'm not that experienced. What I've been learning so far is that reddit has been getting me the most views on my wordpress blog about my game. I posted in the visual novel subreddit, but I think I made a mistake in marketing my game so early in its development. I'm only going to post their again after I have my free demo completed, because there's nothing for my viewers to really talk about in the comments section, so my original post has kind of just died from inactivity haha. Facebook is also a good way to market. My plan is to join a bunch of visual novel facebook groups and when I finish my demo, post them there. Not sure if it will work, but I think it's a good idea. Hope this helps!
