That depends on what we consider to be "decent", but they released Koikuma in October, Koi ni, Kanmi o Soete in September, and Maitetsu in June, so "a year or more" is definitely wrong.

All nukiges or very short VNs which was my point, maybe some people like 'em but they are boring to read for me

Finished Ayame's route and it's unexpectedly short considering the 30-50 hours tag. Probably because of the replayability value with the different endings and scenes

after you finish one of the three 'main' routes (Yuuki,Ayame,Mahiru)you need start a new game, sleep in the 1st week and use the cupid flower so you can confess early and get more scenes

you can also use cupid's flower and cover all the weekend dates which starts from April i think. Getting Yuuki and Ayame's reverse confession is a pain though ugh

Going away from translation discussion for a moment ;)

Yesterday I finished "alternate" versions of Ayame's route, including "reverse confession" variant. What I loved the most about that part was

The conclusion of Ai-chan's arc. Very heartwarming  :)

yep the 'confession' arcs all seem to be a bit too meledramatic, i prefer most of the normal ones

Trying to finish Yuuki's dates now followed by Ayame

god MC went total dense protagonist mode on one of the last ones where she came to his house to watch a romance movie, felt bad for her

Yep, while i got it wrong what mc would lose, the rest of the route was cliche and predictible nonsense. If japanese romantisize career over love to this degree then its no wonder they're going extinct. They really like pushing their loved ones away, and of course its over many years.

Apart from the ending it was just like hatsukoi and Maya. Well, personally i dont like this heavy emphasis on duty over love. I do read these vn's for the romance afterall.

Thinking about it, every damn route i've read so far has ended with temporary separation at the end. Thats bullshit if you ask me.

Well, not all is bad. Rinka annoyed me at first, but she got pretty cute as it went on. The relationship did progress a bit fast perhaps, so apart from tje drama it was good.

cept that unlike Hatsukoi it wasnt irritating to read and the MC here actually has a personality lol, plus MC more or less forced Maya to do that if i am not wrong, which is not the case for this VN

anyway thats why I said i prefer the normal ending, the 'true' ending was good until the signing bullshit came up again, maybe because i dont 'dream' like these people do but i dont get it

  5. So i've finished most of the routes, didnt have the paitence to finish Mahiru though, kinda boring. Ayame's capture and the start of her route was brilliant but they didnt manage to keep it up, got a bit annoying at the end :amane:

My route rankings would be Yuuki-->Rinka-->Ayame-->Chiho-->Mahiru, which is also surprisingly the order i read the routes (entered Rinka completely by accident though). Yuuki and Rinka routes stands above the others imo, it was more fun to read those. Good to see a decent Childhood friend route though unlike fcking Hatsukoi 1/1:pyaa:. Also never seen a girl talk dirty as much as her lol guess the developer blog wasnt kidding

This game system though breaks immersion and is just frustrating most of the time, confessing sometimes doesnt even make sense, esp in Chiho's case, Chiho spoilers:

She confesses to you herself around end of May if you dont do it though which is a nice touch, we needed that for Yuuki too

. Hopefully dont see this type of system again lol

Without big spoilers, a simple yes or no answer from someone who say the/an ending: I've finished the first read without picking anyone out of sheer scientific interest and now I'm wondering

Do we actually find out who Souta's "fated" girl is?

I initially assume(d) it's Rinka, but then towards the end of summer there was a lot of focus on Eri.

    Its Rinka

My thoughts about Maya is that she doesn't fit with the system. The system is about girls falling in love with mc. She already is in love with mc without you doing anything for it. Well, same can be said about Yuuki, but she goes "sorry, but i don't know about love" or something when you confess early, but goes "I've always loved you" bullshit when you've gained enough apples. It's truly a shame that they weren't able to write a story which was supported by the gameplay system. Anyway, Maya is in love with the mc from the start.

    Yuuki route ending spoiler:

For anyone who have done Yuuki. Which ending did you like best? I personally liked best the one which fit their original dream best (where you don't confess at the end) and they worked for it together, instead of mc trying to fix her family's bullshit (Honestly, i can't respect someone having to fix 2 grown men's relationship like that) and her going to college for x amount of years before they start working together. In my eyes there was exactly 1 proper ending. Only bad thing was her not knowing her father.

I agree with you, i did the normal end first and that felt much better, it showed how much Yuuki cared for Souta better, kinda same for Rinka tbh, her true part gets too dramatic, normal is better

  8. So wasnt planning on this, Rinka spoilers:

I accidentally entered her route by just running out of 'My room mode' and not confessing, wasnt expecting them to show Souta's 'soulmate' like that

Was again a pretty fun route, the true end kinda bittersweet though but still decent. All the dream talk was getting dumb though :makina:

This game trolls you a lot, in the tutorial they were saying if you dont confess you'll get a 'bad end' of sorts lol

    - How and/or why did they waste this much time and that many resources for Maya if it doesn't lead to anything?

Yep asked the exact same question, they spent way too much resources on her, why didnt they finish the job? We really didnt need Chiho instead sloppy business decisions guess thats why they went bankrupt

[had to keep away, but I guess it won't hurt to discuss the game itself ;) ]

I suppose that you have to use one to get the next? Walkthrough at seia-saiga doesn't mention using them - it seems that they are meant to be used as kind of "shortcuts" to get to the girl's route by instantly giving you one "relationship point", so you would miss bunch of scenes that way.

Nocturnal Illusion's biggest problem was that translator apparently just sucked at English ;) But then, that translation is like 20 years old :o

Nah if you use Cupid's flower you get into a relationship early so you get a bunch of new scenes with the heroine, some pretty adorable ones too :vanilla:

thanks @ArgentstR you were right, this game is a bit confusing and the only walkthrough available is in Japanese lol

almost fully completed Yuuki's route now, that was pretty good actually, onto Ayame next

btw anyone got Rinka to appear yet? Got Chiho on 2nd playthrough but no sign of Rinka

  10. I guess they ran into problems with the gamedevs since there is no game announcements like they said

But Yeah confirmation that Steam is still a dick for no reason :vinty: and they are delaying the game release till late January

Also update on the Fureraba fandisk that will be coming within a month or so as well (Cant wait! :Chocola:)

Sigh... I really didn't want to come back to Fuwanovel after having said my goodbyes but...

This news. THIS FUCKING NEWS, pisses me off! Just when I thought I would jump ship from Sony to Steam, this happens. Now I'm convinced Steam has an anti-anime agenda.

Just why? Why does the west hate the anime medium and anything related to it so much? What has anime ever done to deserve this kind of treatment? I don't even... God, this pisses me off so much that it was enough to bring me back here.

Anti-anime agenda would be ironic since they fcking sell anime as well and a lot of highly rated games are 'anime games' lol

Nekonyan should go to mangagamer to publish their stuff, you know at this point it might be pretty profitable for MG to make a platform of  their own instead of just a website

Also isnt Sanoba Witch far more 'suggestive' with the main heroine's witch outfit? :pyaa:
