  1. Uh-oh ... GREAT! ... I guess ... I mean no ... Isn't this the copycat VN that tried to copy Neko Para? From what I have heard it's nothing special though I could be wrong ... I think this is the VN that was mentioned as an example of poor VN sales just recently, I could check out to make sure but I think it was this one.
  2. I just entered the chat-room without any problems ... I guess I am late to the party since the problem seems to be fixed right now xD
  3. @pual - Interesting situation you have there ... I am actually on Windows 7 too 64-bit and I didn't have any problems of that sort while playing My Sex Slave is a Classmate ... Though I can tell you that the VN isn't worth it, even as a nukige it sucks terribly, I have unlocked all the routes and didn't find any real value in this VN ...
  4. not bad, not bad at all xD ... Though I already try to imagine them as "smile left", "smile right" , "one eye smile left", "one eye smile right" xD Though I really like the tsunami reference Actually lately I were good at recognizing them but only if I practice for sometime, if I don't I simply have to remind myself after a 2-month period at least ... But overall it can be managable xD
  5. I am so annoyed by those Katakana characters. It's so easy to mix them up in my head.
  6. Isn't this called "Breaking the Fourth Wall"? xD
  7. @Eternals-Eiliya - I thought as much, Ren'py is the most common one, but lately people are moving on to Unity and other more powerful engines, nevermind though, Ren'py can be perfectly fine for everything too, especially if it's powered up by good custom python scripts ... As for the publishers, DLSite is good too I guess, I mentioned Nutaku and MangaGamer because I know that in the west they are popular, though I can't tell you how difficult Nutaku is, they are kind of censorship-happy so I don't know whether they are a good choice and I mentioned MangaGamer because they sometimes give their platform to developers like you to publish their games, for example, this one came to my mind but MangaGamer is mostly into Japanese VNs only ... I don't know much about DLSite but I do know that they mostly sell Japanese H-RPG games if I remember correctly, they might be better than others, I don't know though ... You should also follow Sanahtlig's advice, this wall of text might be okay-ish to someone like me but regular users don't pay much attention to this kind of presentation so you should try working out on that
  8. Hmmm, doesn't that depend on the VN you are reading? All VNs that I have read were in the form where you assume the role of the protagonist (or the variant where you switch between characters during the story) ... But I have heard of VNs where there is a 3rd person mode, never played one of those type but they exist, that kind of approach seems interesting ... I guess it depends on the writer (scenarist), you experience the story the way the writer wants you to experience it ... The most common format is to stick you to the main protagonist and then you follow him (the idea is I guess to make you integrate yourself into that character, that's why many times the protagonist is just a blank slate state allowing you to imagine yourself as him) ...
  9. @Arsudar - I see, it's cheaper that way then, if I would to buy it now it would be 70 euros for this triple pack but I'm not into Bioshock right now, I will wait and see first how the new remastered one performs, whether there are optimization issues and so forth ... Right now I don't really have a gaming PC so I really have no use of remastered 1080p visuals and I guess they could really strain my PC over here xD I remember playing Bioshock 1 on high settings on my old PC which was weaker then this new one but I never go into high resolutions and more then medium settings on this one Anyway, thanks for the info
  10. I voted for JAST, MangaGamer's style but personally have nothing against amateur work, those can be just fine too ... The question was "Do you prefer" so I answered according to that but if it were to be like for example "Decensored CG - must or must not", I'd say "not a big deal, I'd accept any".
  11. Is there anything else that was added besides remastered 1080p visuals? I played Bioshock 1 back in the day, others I planned to but if it's just the new 1080p visuals then it's not worth it for me. I'd just play the old ones then.
  12. I actually thought the same but when I saw the pictures on the artist's spots, I thought in myself - no need for pictures on Fuwanovel for these xD ... I have read the entire post, I think he made several repeats of himself (in the parts where he speaks about how much of what was completed) but overall it did give enough info to make me interested a little bit ... Though it needs a little bit of formatting here and there, overall it looks fine to me (I am used to reading posts like these on the net all the time but I agree many will just skip it if's a very long post without pictures like this) ... I don't think that there are many people on Fuwanovel that are interested in these kind of VNs (maybe I am wrong?) but since it is a VN with gameplay elements I think it can become preety fun, who knows, maybe it becomes popular like Sunrider and some other VNs of that sort ... I'll be honest and say that I actually like the art, that picture at the beginning of the post looks uninteresting but the actual artist's pages look awesome, not Japanese style of awesome, but awesome nontheless, they do have solid artists, as for the writing, I will try reading it later, I see the scenarist has some previous work on his blog so I am quite interested to see what he has to offer ... I'd just like to ask @Eternals-Eiliya what engine are they using for this VN? I see it has dungeon crawler elements which I am personally not against (I kind of liked Raidy series) but other mentioned things like city management can be preety boring to me, but if it's done well, who knows, maybe it becomes a classic one day XD ... Also, I'd like to know where do they plan to publish this game? It looks like Nutaku or MangaGamer material to me ...
  13. I feel you definitively, happened to me too, on this same forum when I was writing an introduction several days ago xD The site logged you off automatically and then when you clicked "Submit" it just all went to nothing, and like me, you didn't copy it beforehand so it was quite a sad feeling ... But then later on in the day I got motivated again so I wrote the introduction again and this time I was copying everything to clipboard just in case I think that the second time I wrote it was better, though I tend to get into "bla bla bla" mode so I think it was an even longer post then it was the first time, you can look at it here: I am guessing you probably wrote a lot more than me and I am basing that on your other post describing the VN you are developing right now, you are really going into details if I may say so xD, you were right to come here on Fuwa to showcase it, I didn't check it all out right now but I will, I promise Though you should definitively spread a word around, not just here Anyway, welcome to Fuwa and I wish you and your team luck on your VN development endeavour ...
  14. That second link looks quite nice ... I mean ... Quite a lot of stuff there xD Insta-bookmarked for later references and uses
  15. That's interesting to know - what you mentioned about the Hiyoku Renri and Senkei Kousoku, I guess I could use that info later on, I did see some people do whole playthroughs of VNs on Youtube but never really researched whether their videos got deleted over time ... And if they upload every single route available then that's really cool, no need to bother with buying the game, you could just stream it ... Nice
  16. That's a good point, unless it gets DMCA'd on Youtube XD I don't know what kind of streaming policy there is on that particular title xD
  17. I just checked out Steins Gate 0 and from what I have seen, apparently there will be an English version on PS4 and Vita, if I were OP I'd probably buy it if I had any of the consoles mentioned ... But I have heard that Steins Gate is coming to Steam, I guess if it proves a success they should release this new one there aswell? I'd probably want to wait for it because it is probably going to get an official release on Steam or something like that. It's probably not worth to read it the hard way unless the OP wants to learn Japanese (the hard way xD).
  18. @akaritan I see, well, I've guessed as much Nevermind, the good thing is that I didn't watch Umineko even though I planned that back then XD ... That will be a totally blind entry so I have nothing to worry about it ... Thank you for your input ^^
  19. I know that, I just thought it's a hard VN even if you know Japanese, I know you can use it to help yourself out when you see a kanji that you don't recognize, I just thought it's a waste of effort if you are going to read it by blindly eating machine translation stuff (some people do it, it usually is tolerable only on low non-complicated nukige stuff)
  20. @akaritan - I know it's not for everyone, I am not personally against OELVNs, I might stumble upon one good OELVN one day, recently I saw this one for example, as well as its sequels (II , III) and thought that this one actually has a good setting, I am a fan of Godfather movie and book so I was thinking I should maybe try it when I get the time, and by the way if I saw correctly it's a freeware doujin, so it's free I guess, nothing hurts to try it, even with the art being OELVN-ish, the story might pull me in ... That's a shame, the text parser thing you mentioned ... I might stumble upon the same problem with it too when I get there, tell me, do you use VNR or other software? Oh, I will tell you, ofcourse, if I ever get to actually reading it XD I am still a far cry though from even trying since my Japanese is still at N5, and I am barely even at 200 kanji so far, one of these days I need to go through all those radicals thingy stuff, apparently it's a must learn for later ventures into more complicated kanji. As for Umineko and Higurashi, I didn't read any of those but you just made Iwaihime even more interesting to me since I know Umineko is a very good VN and its writer should be pure quality then ... As for Higurashi, I think I got myself screwed up a little bit because I watched the anime of it sometime ago, it was one of the best anime I watched and back then I wasn't reading visual novels ... Today I would have loved if I could just forget all the plot of anime, that way I'd probably enjoy Higurashi VN the way I should, I actually intend to read it through even though I watched the anime already ... I didn't watch Higurashi for sometime now, its two seasons were very good and mind-screwy and sadly I still remember a lot of the plot but maybe the VN has some major differences? Maybe it's better in some way? You know anything about that maybe? xD Oh, okay, I will look forward to it then Some of my favourite VNs were utsuge so ... I have no problems with depressing myself Thanks for mentioning it, I had no clue about it, ef seemed to me like it's just pure love story
