  1. Choosing only one is hard, though, because I have one favorite heroine for every VN I played. But this comes to mind when thinking about the most favorite one.
  2. So you want something light-hearted? IMH comes to mind if you haven't played it. And from what usually people recommend, Shuffle and Noble Works.
  3. There is already a thread like this.
  4. Congrats, maybe 500 posts more and I will start calling you Dergonu-senpai
  5. "genres and traits/fetishes" Well, why not, because everyone also wrote fetishes they dislike. For some moment I thought "Trap" is a genre, so I also add "weird fetishes" to sum them up.
  6. I don't see any wrong with how VN is being VN. Can you explain it in short?
  7. Close to 30 hours or so. Played it for 10 days with 3 hours of average playtime.
  8. Well if you can't find any more VN like Ace Attorney or Dangan Ronpa, there's no helping then. The only option is to wait for next release or something of same genre. If you want to revolutionize VN because you don't find it suit your "way of VN", you'll get hard time. Don't act so spoiled because you can't find VN you want.
  9. Well VN has potentials, but in my opinion, it depends on whether the people like reading or not, not because of art style thing. Japanese art style is very well known around the world that it's hard to find people who doesn't like it. For me, romance, action, drama, and mystery are universal genre that most people like. There is no more universal genre than them. The conclusion is, it's back to people, whether they want to read VN or not, and thinking that people don't read VN because it is not appealing to them is wrong. It is like forcing someone who doesn't like racing game to play racing game. And your opinion sounds like "we have to change racing game so it can appeal to people who doesn't like racing game" to me.
  10. Every developer has their own way of creating VN though, and it depends on them what type of market they're targeting. It is like you live in your country, you want to write a fictional book about your country, and you hope that your countrymen will buy it, and whether everyone would buy your book or not is another question. Then someone from another country wants to read it, but he doesn't understand it, so he either learn the language or get someone to translate it. Then he says this country's fictional book is awesome. The reader then, asks you to write a fictional book about the reader's country and its culture. But you have a very vague image of it, so you don't even bother to write one, as long your books are appealing to your countrymen. In other words, for the fictional book to has a diversity, it must be made by someone who understand the culture itself, not by forcing foreign writers to understand it and write it for the reader. And not everyone will read that fictional book, especially someone who doesn't like reading itself. So if you want to make a VN of specific culture, why not gather everyone of same interest and make one? Even a locally produced VN of my country won't always get popular to VN readers in my country, despite heavily portraying my country's culture. The VN is what the VN is. People who likes VN also has their own taste, but not every VN can sate it. And people who doesn't even like VN wouldn't be bothered if the VN is portraying their culture or not.
  11. I would like to see what kind of character I'm going to be. Given my nickname and avatar, maybe I'll become...stranded time traveller?
  12. Seems interesting, but why I got something like "you are not allowed to view this material"? And when I tried to open the link to blog on the first page, it said "not found". Well, I'm gonna read it from start.
  13. Confession: I haven't read euphoria yet. Those promotional images are huge turn-off for me, tbh.
  14. Maybe it will fit into situation like "fueee, mod-senpai doesn't notice me" or something lol.
  15. Played Cartagra and with my choices so far, I got into Kazuna's route. She's quite adorable, and can switch between airhead and serious mode, quite a waifu material. Along the main route it feels like I have dumped like 4-5 girls. I think I will get Kara no Shoujo after finishing 2-3 more routes.
  16. True, in the polling about what new features to add in Muv-Luv's kickstarter, I want mostly something like in-game encyclopedia, more routes and side routes, latest age's graphic, and fully voiced protagonist. It will be a major change for MLA. Maybe for MLE there's side routes or something.
  17. The extras menu is unlocked after all routes have been completed. Nothing particular.
  18. I'm from North Sumatera, Indonesia. Seems like there're very few Southeast Asian in this forum, even more so of Indonesian. I'm a Chinese living in Indonesia, though.
  19. They're basically same kind of producers who translate and publish Japanese VN to the west, right? Imo, though I don't really see any difference.
  20. Yes, the protagonist will eventually go out with them, somewhere along the route.
  21. Yeah, she can be too annoying that I hope there's an option to scold her for being too selfish. I think the election campaign would go well even without her help.
  22. Airhead heroines who can get very serious and stubborn sometimes has its charm too, more so if the heroine is a loli. It makes them very adorable and motivates me to protect them.
