I'll play this once the full English patch is released. I'm not a huge fan of light-hearted stories, but this one seems promising.

I would recommend some Key titles like Air and Kanon, and the Da Capo series is good too.

I'm a Ken Akamatsu fan, but this series seems too shounen for my tastes. I would consider picking it up if it got really good reviews though.

I meant your favorite genre in general. I don't think that there is such a thing as a shounen visual novel, but there are action-based VNs.
