  1. Obviously it would be very awkward to post the link to my VNTS Review here, so may as well just straight up comment on some opinion here.

For December When There is No Angel VN (What a coincidence that we have two VNs based on December announced on when it's about to be December with another one is obviously Eve of December (Or 12th Month if you prefer consistency)), it's a deal darker than White Album 2 with one of the heroine want to be useful, and her step is to had sex with the MC which obviously very messed up. Interesting to note that there's a difference of the average scores between Erogamescape and VNDB, so perhaps this might be an example on how two regions have different taste.

Mahoyo is another VN that has time setting on December (Again), and yes it's only available for console. Although seeing on how fans quickly patch English text of Eiyuu Senki to PC version as soon as the PS3 version of it released in 2015, it should be more than possible to have Mahoyo fans port the translation into PC version (Assuming that they're satisfied with the translation). By the way 4chan here is quite late to report that Mahoyo release date will be on 8th later.

Overall I guess saying that last week is quite slow is not wrong here, and so does for this week even with Tsukihime Remake finally fully translated. I just hope that by Christmas we may see some nice releases and update, although I'm not putting much hope into it.

  2. Considering that Zwei Trigger response here is pretty much lukewarm (Even though it has Nine and Nanairo Reincarnation writer) and that Akuma to Yoru is somewhat unknown, I would say that Same to Ikiru Nanonakan here is the only sensible candidate for VN of the Month in November 2022, although of course you may say otherwise. Anyway as far as CUBE VN goes it's the most bloody one because of the shark, and one of the review mention that it's like the shark movie. Seeing that both of Shiravune and Nekonyan now hold the number of licenses for CUBE VNs (Or rather the VNs from the same company group), it may be possible that one of them will license Same to Ikiru in the future, although then again it's just my wishful thinking.

No much to say here other than what I did write above, so that's all for my comment on November 2022 releases.

  3. Wedding Peach OVA - Obviously only good for the visual excitement of the fans who want to see the fan service, otherwise you may watch it to see Saliva's possible boyfriend.

Nobody's Girl - The last World Masterpiece Theater before their brief revival in 2000's end.

Saber Marionette J - I just glance it in Animax at afternoon, and I can only understand is that there's three female marionette who is attached to a guy.

YAT - Broadcasted in Indonesia as well, and from what I remember I think it resemble Rogue Galaxy to a degree, although only for the season one (Yes it has sequel in 1998 later).

Hana Yori Dango - Another anime that was broadcasted in Indonesia, and this one is quite famous in Indonesia (And some other Asian countries), although the fame is not because of the anime. But instead the reason is because the live action adaptation from Taiwan that change the cast name, and said adaptation is known as Meteor Garden with the female MC Tsukushi known as San Chai and her love interest Tsukasa known as Dao Ming Si. To know on how famous Meteor Garden in Indonesia is, there's a lot of merchandise based on F4 (Taiwan version obviously) that was produced here including bed sheet (That I still own until now).

That's all for my comment in regard on Fall 1996 anime.

  4. I only recognize Baby and I, and let's just say that you're more or less right about the premise there, although back then I don't exactly know that Tatsuya is still at grade schooler though. Another thing that I remember is that there's a lot of talk about the deceased mother, which is understandable seeing that it's quite a big loss for the family. Well that's all for my comment on Summer 1996 anime.

  5. Sailor Moon Star - The final season for Sailor Moon anime, and this time they have another controversy with said controversy is in regard of Sailor Starlight who is a man in civilian form and female in transformed form, which to say the mangaka is less than pleasant to see the change because in the manga they just disguised as the male (Without sex change obviously). Other than that, Star here also has some Sailor Moon allies do some extreme thing to defeat the enemy, and obviously some fans can't accept that kind of writing. Oh yes while the anime villain stopped at Sailor Galaxia, in manga there's one more villain to defeat before Sailor Moon ending.

Kodocha - I came across several mention of it from the reviews of my favorite Precure reviewer, and I can only say that the manga will going darker than the anime alone to a degree.

Makibao - I only remember the opening song of it (Never watch the anime even though it's broadcasted in Indonesia), and let's just say that it's quite catchy. As for the titular horse Makibao itself, well let's just say that it's not as strong as usual horse or that it's not as cute and sexy like Uma Musume horses lol (Well the character designer may want to depict on how unusual looking horse can be quite strong in the race).

Lamune 40 - The real sequel of Lamune, and it's more or less like Boruto in that the previous MC son will be the new MC. While obviously there's still some hot blooded moment just like the old Lamune, what I can say is that the ending of the new Lamune here is surprisingly bittersweet with some higher level of casualties compared to the old one, which make sense considering that the premise is already grim enough with the old casts have misfortune to a degree so much that only Da Cider is the one available to accompany the new MC.

Escaflowne - I did watch the anime of it on Animax, and well I don't understand much of it. From what I can see it's obviously combined both of shoujo and super robot together, although this is not the only isekai that has the same premise because we have Rayearth (Or you can also add Curious Play if we talk about isekai). If anything else, I can say that the song is quite good, and there's a reason behind it with the composer saw the potential in Sakamoto Maaya who was casted as Hiromi (The MC) VA. Long story short, she proved her potential as the singer and then she's become well known as both singer and VA.

Nube - Back when there's the ad in Indonesia, I thought it would be a scary anime. While it's still a scary anime, turned out that it's not as scary as I thought. I also read the manga of it, and let's just say that the manga has more fanservice compared to the anime. Nube itself is about a titular Nube who is a bumbling teacher that has supernatural power, and he'll use the power to save his students. I believe that Nube here is quite well known in Japan, so much that I think that Corpse Party staff made the five main characters based on the five main recurring students in Nube (Hiroshi, Kyoko, Miki, Katsuya, and Makoto), although I have no proof on this.

That's all for what I can comment on Spring 1996 anime.

  6. Speaking of the wrong choice, School Days here is the most infamous example because the director somehow thought that it would be nice to have the anime ending as the bad ending, which admittedly work as the surprise although in exchange it's obviously cause some controversies. It didn't help that the 0verflow staffs may have been drunk when they made the setting for Makoto's father who is more or less quite a piece of work to say it politely, so they may have a hand to have the director adapt the bad ending instead of the numerous good endings of School Days.

Anyway as for the Bad Ending, I would say that most people would see it as another word for Game Over for the most part, although like you say Bad Ending here can also be used as a way to build up the world in the VN with the most another notable example that I know is in Remember11 where one of the Bad Ending is very necessary to solve the story because of the inconclusive ending that happen as the result of Creative Difference between the staffs. There's also several VNs that has Bad Ending Only, so yeah it shown that Bad Ending here can be more than just Game Over here.

That's all for what I can say in regard of Bad Ending, and as for whether more VN will use it or not we'll see.

PS - I forgot to mention Musicus in which it also has quite an extensive Bad Ending, as does Kira Kira in which the player need to get through the Bad Ending first before finally get the good ending. In those cases, the Bad Ending here also provided some character development to the MC that otherwise won't be obtained if he keep going for the good ending. Since you mention that the Bad Ending need to fit the narrative that they're try to tell, the ending with the opposite tone can also be said as the Bad Ending, such as Musicus Yako's ending where one of the reviewer (The review in question) mentioned that the MC is not really achieved anything in said route despite that it end relatively happy.

PPS - I see that you mention Hakuai in the other post there, and speaking of it there's also Yumeutsutsu that employ the same system. Let's just say that both Bad Endings in those two VNs are more or less quite bad with either the heroines or the MCs are going dead or going off the deep end.

  7. No much to say in regard of Dragon Ball GT other than it's the original episode that were created by Toei as the way to milk the franchise even further, and let's just say that it failed. For Samurai X, it only adapt up to Kyoto arc before finally make the filler arc for the whole season and thus it's bombed from what I'd hear.

I have a lot of ramble about Detective Conan, particularly in regard on how Gosho also write the main story on top want to make it just as usual episodic story so it's inevitable that a lot of people who want the main story to moving up getting fed up by the episodic format (Admittedly a lot of cases in the manga that has some interesting tricks and resolutions), and for the info nowadays Gosho keep having a lot of breaks to do some research to starting wrap up the main story. If you still want to enjoy Conan for the main story here, I would suggest you to just read/glance the manga instead of watching all the anime episodes. Obviously Gosho and TMS (The studio behind Conan) won't end this franchise soon because the anime is still has the highest TV Rating in Japan.

That's all for what I can write in regard of Spring 1996 anime.

  8. There's also two more TV series of Ghost in the Shell that are also well received on MAL, so you may check out on those two later on. Anyway I see that you took your time to compile some anime here, and so let's see what I can comment in regard of Fall 1995 anime now that I started to see some familiar name more here.

Azuki-chan movie - I did miss it back on Spring 1995 post because back then there's more bigger anime to note, so I'll try to comment on this. Anyway this series here is more or less about the blossoming romance between the titular character Azuki along with the transfer student Yuunosuke with Azuki also need to deal with her fellow classmate Yoko who also show interest to Yuunosuke, and also there'll be some episodes that put the focus on the other couple as well. I remembered that it also broadcasted in Indonesia, and back then the dub director thought that it's a good idea to chance the name of the casts with Western name (I only remember Azuki as Bunny, Yuunosuke as Mike, and Yoko as Lisa), only to abandoned it after several weeks which obviously confused me with the 'new name' after several episodes getting used with the Western name.

Mojakou - It also broadcasted in Indonesia, and as you can say it's another anime that resemble Doraemon because of the very obvious reason (Same author). Well it has alien and stuff, and other than that no much that I can say about it.

Evangelion - If you browse TV Trope, surely you know there's a huge number of example in regard of the director, Hideaki Anno, who suffer the depression during the production. While the first half is indeed started as usual mecha anime, by the second half the direction is surely going darker (And confusing) thanks to Anno starting to take the therapy to his depression back then. Anyway while the series has mecha, obviously the series is not for children because the contents are quite dark thanks to the difficult matter that the director shown on top that said contents can be disturbing (Especially the mind rape). It also help that the casts here are not exactly what we can call mentally stable people, especially with Shinji who has a lot of issues. Lastly we can say that this series introduce Asuka who will become the trendsetter of red-haired tsundere (If I'm right), and the ending is very memetic (It's said that the reason for that is because the lack of budget).

Kaitou Saint Tail - Compared to Jeanne that would be aired at latter time, this series is quite lighter. The premise here should be more than enough to tell the kind of the story is, and for the info it's the gender reversal of the roles from Kaitou Kid (In there we have the male as the phantom thief and the female as the daughter of the rival policeman) which in turn both are derived from Lupin 3.

That's all for what I can say in regard of Fall 1995 anime.

  9. Admittedly October releases are mostly quite small, so I understand if you can't nominate the VN. That said though, let me try to comment on October 2022 releases here.

Aquarium - Once again compared to previous VN that featured VTuber (Sakurairo Dreamer), Aquarium here featured an extensive storyline along with setting. By the way when I see the thread about this, I thought that Minato Soft decided to expand their new brand called Minato Aqua, only to find out that Minato Aqua is the name of VTuber.

Drapri 3 - Other than new dragon girl and most likely it'll be another license by Sekai, no much that I can say in regard of this. At least they keep the good design of the heroines if anything else, although it should be obvious that the male MC here is not exactly the good example of proactive MC because he's quite lazy.

Criminal Border - It's still the first part out of possible four parts, so it's still too early to judge this. Also since both of writer and director of Nine worked on this, I'm going to assume that the next parts would be better. That said, Purple Software here just release one part of it and will release another part sometimes in the future, and actually the difference from Nine is that Criminal Border here is more or less kinetic VN with Nine is route based VN. Other notable feature is that Purple Software decided to use the new artist, and let's just say that I need to get used to the new art. Oh yes the heroines in this VNs are mostly criminal with Meryl is still unknown for now.

Study Steady 2 - I would name this as VN of the Month, simply because it has relatively high production value on top being completed lengthy VNs (Both Aquarium and Drapri 3 are shorter, and Criminal Border is incomplete even with potentially interesting scenario). Like you say it's still the same with first Study Steady VN, only that the default name for the MC is no longer Marma Lade. Study Steady 2 also suffer several delays so much it became meme, although seeing that the first game is known for being buggy perhaps the delays are necessary. Lastly I'll say that I like the sexy school uniform here lol, and more seriously hope that Shiravune (Or perhaps Nekonyan if they're interested with this) will localize this in the future.

That's all for what I can comment in regard of October 2022 releases.

  10. Speaking of common route, well some authors may have more creative juice when they did make it so much that it's the peak of their VNs and caused the routes to be much more underwhelming compared to the common route. The examples of one of those is Bokuten, at least from what I can see. Bokuten itself actually have quite unique common route, with the structure basically like Yurirei that'll tell several stories about the couples while the MC going to get the development in the characters route (Supposedly), although too bad that the twist is pretty much send the mixed signal to on how good the common route is (It's also not help that one of the route is probably the time when the author suffer some breakdown to a degree).

In the end, well I suppose when it come to common route it depend on how the author wrote it, whether it'll be good or not.

PS - Here's the video that Ange record in regard of his best common route, and it might be a good video to watch if you have time to research about good common route. By the way one of the example in the video is the aforementioned Bokuten.

Whether you'll agree with those examples are up to you.

  11. Adachi Mitsuru is quite passionate with baseball, so his manga is inevitably will contain baseball (By the way I saw one volume of H2 manga in bookstore, although I obviously didn't buy it). Nurse Angel is obviously another magical girl that follow Sailor Moon (And yes 90's magical girl anime did follow Sailor Moon trend), and from that I see in TV Trope it cut short because the sales of the merchandise are not quite enough to cover the production costs.

Other than those two anime, no much I can say here so that's all for my comment on Summer 1995 anime which can be said is a breather compared to previous season.

  12. On 10/26/2022 at 12:43 AM, Erogamer said:

Nekonyan is starting to look more like Sekai Project with all the delays and how long in general it is taking them to release titles. Also, they keep adding to their catalog of in progress works and go months without releasing anything.

I agree that the delay in Mirai Radio here may cause some concern, although to me after I know Aojashin released in English (Granted that it has some controversies) with Aojashin is the best Laplacian VN I'm sort of not quite interested in Mirai Radio anymore (Then again, maybe there's still some shenanigan that also need to dealt with Laplacian beforehand before the release). As for adding the catalog, I agree that it's indeed quite concerning and therefore I can only hope that they're really know what they did with seeing that one of the bottleneck for both of Sekai and Nekonyan (And all translation companies in general) are the lack of programmer from what I understand.

That said though, I like to believe that Nekonyan won't go Sekai's way, provided that they didn't release shorter VNs with cafe and catgirl like Sekai did. Also so far their release is relatively have high production value compared to Sekai, although to be fair Sekai also have Clannad and Grisaia trilogy (It's just that Sekai is very often release smaller release so much that people think Sekai always delay the VNs releases with Nekonyan usually has bigger releases). I also should mention that as long as Nekonyan didn't release their VNs in Chinese first (Like what Sekai did with both of Hamidashi and Raspberry Cube), then they're already better compared to Sekai.

  13. Quite a number of anime that I recognize of in this season, so let me try to comment on it.

Sailor Moon SuperS - Other than particular focus on side character, this series is also featured the only main villain who actually manage to fought Sailor Moon for more than one series, although in SuperS finale the villain here is defeated and there'll be another fight against her in first six episode of the next series. Unlike previous series, this time Toei decided to not make the remake of the series like Sailor Moon Crystal, but instead they decided to remake the series through two-part movie called Sailor Moon Eternal.

Gundam Wing - I decided to dig the Indonesian magazine from 2001 that mentioned this in the article abut on how anime is not for the children (For the info back when the magazine is published people did perceive anime as the entertainment for children), and after seeing TV Trope page of this let's just say that the theme is definitely quite heavy for the children (Well Gundam theme has always been quite heavy). Oh yes we have Midorikawa Hikaru as Heero (Gundam Wing MC) manage to said the phrase 'I'll kill you' in a cool way, although obviously what Heero did is not the good example for the children (Especially when he said that phrase to his future love interest Relena).

Rayearth 2 - Unlike first Rayearth in which the villain has quite complex motivation, in here CLAMP (Or rather the director because CLAMP encouraged the director to make the anime different compared to the manga) decided to make the simpler villain in that the motivation of the villain is just to destroy everything. That said, obviously the heavy burden that the three girls received still haunting them, and so in here they're trying to try to move on from the burden by once again saving the world that they're previously saved. Forgot to mention that while this series is classified as magical girl series, in here the girls will ride the robot to fight so there'll be super robot fight.

Wedding Peach - If you thought that this is like Sailor Moon, then you'll be right on the mark because the manga here is written by one of Sailor Moon anime script writer. Like Sailor Moon, Wedding Peach here also focused on love in which case it's the wedding so naturally there'll be more talk about wedding, although in exchange the manga writer decided to use angel and devil instead of alien like in Sailor Moon. Speaking of Sailor Moon comparison, in here the anime ending here is lighter than first Sailor Moon anime ending.

Fushigi Yuugi - Also known as Curious Play, and the first thing that I understand is that it has a lot of sappy moment such as when Tamahome (Voiced by Midorikawa Hikaru as well) and Miaka keep calling each other name and my sister comment on how cheesy the moment is (She later watch it herself and liking it). As you can see, this is indeed an shoujo isekai anime with Miaka who is a childish girl summoned to become Suzaku priestess with the mission to summon Suzaku, although of course the mission here is not an easy one seeing that there'll be a lot of death (And the mangaka Watase Yuu here didn't hesitate to kill off the main characters through the series). It should be noted that compared to other Fushigi Yuugi series that Watase wrote, this series is Watase's lighter one in which it's still quite dark from on how several main characters are killed of.

That's all for what I can say in regard of Spring 1995 anime.

  14. Well turned out that 1995 Maruko is the one that keep broadcasted until today, although the one that was aired in Indonesia is 1992 version. I just search 1995 anime on MAL, and turned out the staffs did use several remix of 1992 anime first ending as the opening so no 1992 version opening in 1995 anime (To be fair though the first ending for 1992 anime is quite catchy). I also see Ninku in Animax, although seeing that there's no Indonesian sub I decided to drop it and not going back to it again.

That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 1995 anime.

  15. DNA 2 - Karin did remind me of Botan from Yu Yu Hakusho, and let's just say that the concept of Mega Playboy is sounds ridiculous on paper (And in practice as well). I did watch it on Animax out of boredom, and the ending is somewhat bittersweet to a degree.

Macross 7 - My favorite Precure reviewer did made several mention of it, and it's mainly in regard of Basara in that it also has one very over the top (And awesome) scene when he need to recover his voice (And successful) in episode 27. That aside the love triangle here is not like in previous Macross with two female, but instead it's in regard of Mylene who's involved with two handsome guy (She's fall in love with Basara while at the same time she has fiancee). Macross 7 here is also the one that solidify itself as the series that put more focus on the music by establishing the MC as the band member, in which it's contrast with the previous series that has the MC worked as the spaceship pilot. Apparently the change is not accepted by the fans, although then again in Japan it's very popular so perhaps there's some difference of taste between the region.

Rayearth 1 - Note that I add '1' because it's the first part of the series with the second part has different story. I did come across it out of boredom when I do some searching on Working Design (The one behind Lunar liberal localization), and I found out that they've been working on the video game version of this. Game aside, this is usual isekai work with the three girls are tasked to rescue the princess who've been kidnapped by her very loyal knight (Sort of like FF1 early story, so it's normal if you find the story is like usual RPG), although turned out that there's something more behind the mission that would became the burden that is far too heavy to bear for the three girls. Almost forgot to mention that this is CLAMP work, and it's lighter than their previous works despite the particular twist that mod Clephas mentioned.

That's all for what I can say in regard of Fall 1994 anime.

  16. Ogre Slayer - Well I can only say that it's resemble the popular Demon Slayer, and I say this because the translation called it as oni (Note that the kanji in Demon Slayer is literally translated as 'Oni'). Other than the it remind me of Demon Slayer, no much to say in regard of this.

You're Under Arrest - Like you say the artist here is also work on Ah My Goddess manga and in turn Tales series character design, and if you want more of this there'll be three seasons of anime series. Oh yes it resemble Dirty Pair to a degree, although obviously those two policewomen here didn't need to deal with collateral damage that involved a planet. It also has the manga, although it's not as long as Ah My Goddess manga.

That's all for what I can say in regard of Summer 1994 anime.

  17. Chou Kuse ni Narisou - My favorite Precure reviewer did make reference to this anime, although it's mainly for Nagisa's VA, Nishimura Chinami, who in turn would be voicing Aoki Reika/Cure Beauty from SmPC later. Other than that, well it's more or less comedy anime with the MC Nagisa who will be an idol even though she's more or less can be qualified as delinuent for her physical strength.

The Snow White Legend - Since when does a fairy tale take 52 episodes? Since when Tatsunoko decided to adapt a fairy tale and decided to follow the format of World Masterpiece Theater. That aside, other than it's obviously based on Snow White, I did remember than I'd hear the part of the opening song of it because it's aired in Indonesia as well, although I didn't manage to watch it because the television signal that broadcasted it was pretty bad.

G Gundam - I'd pay attention more to Master Asia who is the Badass Grandpa and also the MC's teacher who turned as antagonist, and his VA is Akimoto Yosuke who keep using the same tone that he keep using in several of his role (Such as Ogam from Tears to Tiara and Garmus from Madou Koukaku). As you said Sunrise here did introduce the change, mainly by changing the director. Speaking of change, Sunrise decided to introduce yet another change by making their recent Gundam (Witch of Mercury) has female MC with said MC was engaged with both of female and male (So much that people call it as otome Gundam, although shoujo Gundam here might be more appropriate calling here).

Sailor Moon S - The series did introduce GL couple Haruka and Michiru, although seeing that back then Westerner is not quite open to LGBT they decided to dub the couple as cousin, which of course backfired seeing that it also introduce another taboo (Because the publisher didn't remove the romance instance between the couple) on top of same sex couple being taboo back then. Other than that, well no much to say other than it's indeed another usual Sailor Moon formula that Toei will use on Precure later.

That's all for what I can say in regard of Spring 1994 anime.

  18. While the second reason on not to read it is sounds silly to you, to me it's still a big factor for anyone else who want to read it, even with the excuse that the remaining of the untranslated routes are pretty much can't hold a candle to the rest of the translated route (And I know the exact reason on why the translator didn't want to translate it). As for whether the untranslated routes can't really hold the candle because of the high number of sex scenes, preferably it would be the best to leave such opinion to the fans after they read it (And of course if the fans did find out that the routes are indeed quite bad as you said, then they can understand why you said it in the first place). Besides, if the VN is indeed quite good, then the so-called bad untranslated routes here shouldn't stop the fans to keep liking the VN even after reading the routes.

tldr - I still find out that it's too bad the two routes of it are untranslated even after knowing the unbalanced distribution of sex scenes, but I also realized that nothing can be done if the translator didn't want to do it in the first place. Besides, it's not like this is the first time I experienced this, seeing that there's also Ginharu with Trip can only manage to translate three routes fully.

PS - I already elaborate my opinion on the second reason on why everyone wouldn't want to read Harugi here, so I'll just say that the first reason is pretty much quite silly seeing that the art here is not on Ryukishi level (In fact, it can still hold up pretty well against newer VNs). For the third reason, well the reader can just search the reviews by themselves if one need review in the first place.

  19. Tico and Friends - Like you say it's another World Masterpiece Theater, although this time it's not adapted from any Western literature but instead it's the original story from the production team themselves, which predictably lead to some divisive moment because some fans can't simply accept the series of World Masterpiece Theater from the original story. It's also broadcasted in Indonesia, although I just find out about it through Youtube comment instead of watch it directly.

Final Fantasy Legend - The reason on why people play FFV is not for the story anyway, but instead it's just for the gameplay in which it's drastic improvement of the Job System gameplay from III and if I'm right the Job System from FFV would be the basic for future Job System in future FF with some tweak. When it come to anime adaptation, obviously IV or VI would be better option when it come to the old game that should be adapted. Then again, I see that the staffs might be just want to make the OVA so the sequel of FFV should be sufficient enough (Although it may alienated the original fans of FFV).

Akazukin Cha Cha - It was broadcasted in Indonesia, and I remember I watch it at each Saturday morning. Obviously the anime staff here want to compete with Sailor Moon so much that they made Cha Cha as transforming magical girl in which it's not happen in the manga, and from what I see the manga is just another gag manga with Cha Cha failure on magic (Well okay there's a lot of it in the anime as well). Obviously other than try to compete with Sailor Moon, the staffs here did make Cha Cha as transforming magical girl simply to allow them to do less animation work for each of the episodes because they can just insert the transformation scene for each episodes.

That's all for what I can comment in regard of Winter 1994 anime.

  20. I'll comment on Jojo and Black Jack later when the anime series of those aired later, and for the info 1993 Jojo anime here adapted Part 3. I only know two sports anime from this season that coincidentally are produced by Toei and aired in Indonesia, so I'll comment on those two.

Slam Dunk - While at first Hanamichi was interested with Haruko, near the middle of the series he find himself enjoying basketball even with initial friction with the captain. By the way even with lenghty episodes number here, the anime is ended just before the team compete in national championship in that the manga goes a bit more to cover it up to the second round. Slam Dunk manga here is quite popular in Japan, so much that the author got the award for popularize the basketball through the manga.

Shoot - Out of all sport anime that broadcasted in Indonesia this one is easily the darkest one because it has character death with the death one is the MC idol Yoshiharu Kubo. Back when I watch it, there's no death in the previous sports anime so naturally Kubo's death surprised me. Other than surprise death of one character, no much I can say in regard of it.

That's all for my commemt in regard of Fall 1993 anime.

  21. Sailor Moon R is the further attempt from Toei to milk more Sailor Moon, and the reason for filler arc is because the manga author need some time to catch up with the writing. I only hear Mikami from somewhere, and I see that it's about a titular female ghost hunter with her sidekick who is the male MC stand-in. Lastly there's Yaiba in that it's Gosho Aoyama that at least manage to ended on a conclusive note, unlike Kaito Kid and obviously Conan (Also Yaiba here is more like the manga about samurai instead of detective or phantom thief).

That's all for what I can say in regard of Spring 1993 anime.

PS - I just saw Dragon Legend in that it's aired in Indonesia, and let's just say that it's soccer anime like dragon and dinosaur just as you said (With magic because why not).

  22. I can only comment on Aa Megami-sama here. Anyway those five episodes here are only the OVA, so if you want to see more of it you can read the manga that was ended back in 2014 or watch 2005 anime that has it's own ending (On top that it has 24 episodes). By the way the author here would be more well known for his illustrator works, in which one of his most well known one are his design on Tales series. That's all for my comment in regard of Winter 1993 anime.

  23. Hana wa Mijikashi, Odoreyo Otome - ensemble newest VN with trap MC that has Taisho era setting, and honestly speaking other than era and outfit there's no much different from what they usually write. I still hope that somehow one of Nekonyan's employee interested and try to translate this, although seeing that they pick Secret Agent and said VN has non-trap male MC, it might be hard to expect Nekonyan localized Hanaoto. Also looks like ensemble realize that usually Nabatame Hitomi's role has the tendency to attract the other female characters (Especially Aida Mana/Cure Heart from DDPC), so in here her role is explicitly said that she like cute girl in sexual manner (Little did her character know that she'll date a man when she showed her interest to the MC).

2045 Tsuki Yori - Looks like Re:Lief premise (In regard of AI at the very least), although the naming here is very similar with Navel's trap MC VNs series. Other than the futuristic setting here, honestly I have no much to say other than at least the graphic here is looking good.

Homemaid Sweet Pea - The premise is resembled Family Project to a degree, although apparently it's lighter than that old VN. If anything else here, at least Silky's willing to branch out by making a light VN that didn't involved mystery like Nanairo or Kimagure.

Houkago Cinderella 2 - Other than it's too bad that the first Houkago Cinderella here was got C&D by Nekonyan because of the contract, this one is obviously not a sequel of previous Houkago Cinderella but rather it's set in the same setting as the previous VN with new set of heroines and obviously new MC. As for whether Nekonyan will localize this or not, we'll see.

Black Sheep Town - Setoguchi's newest work after Musicus, and unlike his previous work he seems to not have the characters voiced in order to save the cost. From what I see in one of the review, apparently the ending is quite controversial although I don't know how much (If anything else at least the writing seems to be quite interesting by showing multiple perspective). Oh yes there's no sex scenes in the VN seeing that it's rated as 16+, although obviously the topic here is still not fitting for the children here seeing that it involved gang and stuffs (Come to think of it, the gang premise here is almost resemble Rose Guns Days).

That's all for what I can say in regard September 2022 releases.

  24. I only watch Yu Yu Hakusho here, so I'll just comment on that one. As for that, the first six episodes did tell us Urameshi Yusuke who is a notorious delinquent tried to come back to life after he's dead because of the accident when he attempt to save a child. After that, he'll revive and gain some spiritual power which will help him when he work as Spirit Detective in combating several strong enemies. The series itself is has some rushed ending because apparently the author here has enough and yet the higher up still want him writing the manga, so naturally the author here is not in the right mood to write more story. The next work from the author here is Hunter x Hunter, in that it's quite famous for a high number of hiatus with the most recent hiatus that he's been in since 2018 because of his health issue.

That's all for my comment in regard of Fall 1992 anime.

  25. What I know from Summer 1992 anime is that Tenchi Muyo here is one of prime example of Battle Harem where the MC (The titular Tenchi) himself is quite lucky to have several girl with good fighting skill interested with him, while for Ushio no Tora it's literally translated as 'Bull and Tiger' and I had across the name when I read a fanfiction thus prompt me to do the research in regard of it. I also did a bit of research in regard Porco Rosso, and turned out that it's also from Miyazaki's earlier manga (Hikoutei Jidai) just like Nausicaa. That's all for what I can comment in regard of this season.
