never played those two. but i recommend the following Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3 ( the story in the VC2 is horrible, but the gameplay is good, VC3 got an amazing story) Tactics Ogre Final fantasy tactics war of the lions Jeanne D'arc Persona portable Dont really know much psp games, im more of a DS/3DS man myself.

I think, however, that my current most hated character is Sumika from Muv-Luv Alternative. yup I dont like sumika as well, she is the worst girl of the game.

I really hate Shun from Eien no Aselia, he is a damn annoying guy.

I think you can consider Fire Emblem a VN with gameplay, with emphasis on gameplay, best srpg series out there, awakening is just great.

I started playing Clannad, but I dont know if I will keep on, I liked the anime but as a visual novel is not really my style. 2 routes so far
