And this is the reason I abhor Ques Q as a company: First of all, Touhou is a very expensive figurine franchise, but why in all that is sweet and holy does a 1/8 figurine cost 16,800 yen? First of all, Ques is a piece of trash and its PVC is sub-par at best, but to have the audacity to charge this much for this size is just atrocious. Not only that, but the fact that a company actually released a Touhou figure in the cesspool that is Kantai Collection garbage blows my mind. Touhou hasn't seen a decent figure from a major company in more than what, 10+ years? Ques Q is the Moenovel of figurine companies. They are those self-entitled assholes who charge you a 1:1 yen to euro exchange rate and expect you to pay for PayPal fees and all of the shipping/VAT when your package arrives, but also give you half-ass products like a Chinese bootlegger. Insane inflation and poor quality. What a joke. The best part about this all? I don't even like the franchise.

Fuck the Sharin no Kuni thread, let's talk about Island some more. All aboard the hype train:

Rooke, sanahtlig, and Tiago all believe that Front Wing has a right to remove content from the game that others view as being an integral part of the visual novel. Some of us believe it's a cash grab and dishonest business practice that Front Wing is essentially telling us to pay more money for a feature we already would have expected as it was in the original game to begin with. None of it matters; the project will still be funded in 10 days or less because weebs love anime and visual novels. After it's funded, people will still bitch about the game removing the 18+ content, and this pointless cycle will start all over again. No matter what game you put on Kickstarter, if it's a popular fan translated novel, people will fund it. If it's a cute moege (i.e. = Pulltop games, Yuzusoft games), people will fund it. If it's a yuri game that either has a good story or an actual artist who is involved in a circle at Comiket, people will fund it. If it's an otome, it will fail because gay dudes are gross. OELVNs will always be written like Shakespeare because high school protagonists are all geniuses like Yuuji and Kenichi, and the h-scene discussion will always result in debate. The fandom will never change, so this discussion is pointless. Sharin no Kuni is my favorite visual novel of all time, but even I know this won't go anywhere. PS - Hoshizora no Memoria is trash.

The point remains, this has nothing to do with the fact that the CG gallery or anything pointless has been removed. Had they not said anything and just removed it, none of this would matter. I would get the game, be upset the gallery was removed, but in the long run not give a shit. The fact they needed to point out the fact I can get a deluxe edition and that it was removed is what upsets me and makes me feel they are just "augmenting" my order. Remember that whole augmented preorder bullshit?

Are you just an expert at everything, because you seem to have this notion that you understand how the entire business model works in the game industry and beyond. I won't say you're wrong, but just consider the possibility that it's absolutely retarded to remove features that are integral to the game. It's a visual novel. Remove the visual aspect, and you take away the whole point of the entire game. All this reminds me of is that stupid "preorder tier shit" that Deus Ex Machina did on Steam not long ago. Pay more money, and get more features! This is why I hate Kickstarters for video games and visual novels, because all it really is is a preorder for something you don't even know will turn out to be that good.

It's just fear. Japan does not want another incident regarding adult content. No offense to the country, but their idea of "acceptable" is and always will be unacceptable to certain countries around the world.
