  1. Based? More like a complete ripoff. But in any case, I just finish reading This novel, and sometimes I would imagine some scenes with a VN interface, haha.
  2. Not VN related, but I'm currently playing Tropico 4 and goddammit that has to be the best city management game I've ever played ever since Sim City 4.
  3. When are we gonna say a polyamorous ending outside of eroge?
  4. I'm not taking Date A Live too seriously, haha... Love the char design, though.
  5. The hero sighed deeply and said "I'll just listening to whales mating after I clean this mess..."
  6. Far out words right here. We all live with this illusion that we are always running out of time, that we have to do many things at once and as fast as possible. "You never know what'll happen tomorrow", they say. This constant anxiety is killing us. I believe we need to look at the present, because there is no such thing as tomorrow. There's only now. They say we never know what'll happen in the future, but that ends up being precisely why we shouldn't get so worked up over it. Take it easy, and abide. Keep this up, Tay先輩!
  7. I want kns2 as well. Doesn't seem like MG is interested. D:
  8. I never managed to finish hisui and kohaku routes. I dunno why, but they didn't interest me. Are they worth it? Also, I personally loved Arc's new design. I think it fits her personality a lot better.
  9. Nice to see your progress, Ryoji. You know how to keep things goin'.
  10. I suggest you read at least the first few chapters of the LN. The pacing's a little better.
  11. Watched the first episode of Date a Live, and I gotta say I'm impressed by the animation quality. Not just that, but this looks like it'll be pretty interesting, even if a bit silly. Kotori's adorable.
  12. There are still some shows I have to finish from last season, but I watched the final episode of Vividred today. As Ryoji said, it's pretty silly, but it's still fun somehow. The girls are cute, and they did same like they had a good idea in mind. I don't regret watching it. GJ-bu and Minami-ke ended up being my SoLs for this season and I loved them. It's a shame GJ-bu got the Lucky Star treatment, though. Now I just gotta finish Tamako and Sasami-san.
  13. Okay, started Oreimo s2 today. Fuuuck man I've been waiting for 3 years for this. Feels good. Also the animation looks fantastic for a TV anime.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiOMn0FhLoU It cries.
  15. I guess I'll give this a shot, though I'd rather read through the original LN to get a feel for it. The beggining seems a little slow, nothing particularly special, but I guess I'll push on, see what happens.
  16. Welcome, dude! Take any rug in the house and sit tight! This here is a cozy little place for everyone. I personally don't consider AA and Layton to be VNs. If anything, they're more like interactive dramas like Farenheit and Heavy Rain. Also when I saw your name I was imagining you'd be Portuguese, haha.
  17. Took me long enough to do this. I actually started the challenge about 23 days ago, but I only decided to make a thread about it now. I already have some experience with Japanese, from when I decided to pick it up about a year and a half ago through Tae Kim's guide. However, I was a lazy ass and the I just read through the guide and started playing VNs without even considering practicing other aspects of the language. This would come to bite me in the ass later, and as a result I still have trouble with a lot of stuff. But hey, I could read some VNs, which is a start. Afterwards, I found this super challenge y'all came up with, and I figured "hell, I might as well start things from scratch", and seeing everyone going out of their way to learn by themselves really motivated me to try this out. That, and the fact that I want to be a translator, so the more languages I know, the better off I am (I plan on learning Russian and Greek later). That's basically how I decided to give this a shot. I don't have a very strict routine, but I this is what I usually try to do: study new kanji in the afternoon, review at night, after college, with Anki. So far it's worked pretty well for me, and I feel that as the days pass I can memorize kanji better. Not to mention this is a fantastic creativity exercise! I was actually thinking of using this to memorize the greek/roman prefixes and sufixes in Portuguese, which I always thought was pretty interesting (I'm a sucker for linguistics lol). Now, as for the number of kanji I learn per day, I started out with 50/day, which was a lot. I managed to keep this up for at least a week or so, due to my initial burst of motivation, but as I realized that I really didn't need to rush things, I decided to slowly reduce the number to 20/day; that way, I feel that I can pay attention to each kanji with proper care, without needing to overload my mind with information. As I always say: run too fast and you won't admire the beautiful scenery around you. After all, it is best to take things slowly, savor them, admire them as much as you want. Doing so will make the images in your mind more beautiful, and more vivid.... Aw hell, I'm losing my train of thought here. I'll admit, though, I just feel like jumping onto the grammar stage right away, as I love grammar, more so than vocabulary. Sooo yeah, that's it. I'll keep track of how things have been going every so often. Maybe this'll help me keep up my motivation.
  18. God, I still need to finish some of the previous season's shows... Though this season looks like it's going to be good.
  19. Kara no Shoujo was one of the few games I had to use a walkthrough for. Fuck the investigation segments. If anyone here played the sequel: are they better?
  20. I thought that was pretty neat at first, too, but the problem is that the keywords in the text messages really tell you nothing about what Okarin will write about. On a related note, I have to admit that I didn't know you could make calls to other characters when prompted, since I never noticed the little icon on the text box. orz
  21. Dude, I've always wanted to read Kourin. How is it so far?
  22. Possibly unrelated, but it reminded of a quote then kind went like this: I forgot the author, though.
  23. @The Chuu2koi quote. Fuck me, man. That has to be one of the most far out things I have ever heard in any anime ever. I forgot who the author of Chuu2 is (too lazy to look up), but that quote is like it came from a sage.
