  1. *Late reply* Yeah, it really gets me at least excited everyday to learn new kanji. Also this is a great exercise for practicing your imagination. After all, we're talking about imaginative memory here, haha. Even so, I decided that 50 kanji a day was a bit too much for me... Too much stuff to remember and whatnot, and it takes up a good chunk of my time; so I decided to go with 30. Makes me feel kinda down, but oh well!
  2. Haha... I want to read the light novels first (I have them translated), as I love giving the original a shot first. Granted, the movies themselves were amazing, and a really adaptation~ Bad thing is I just can't seem to find the time to get off my lazy ass and read them. orz Also Shiki, 3rd best Type-moon gal to me.
  3. http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Metaler Keep in mind though that a lot of those shows on my current watching list haven't been touched upon for months now.
  4. aaaaaaand this is why I think every eroge should have a harem ending. When will you give me one, Yuzu-soft? >: Dammit, I never managed to finish Nekoko's route because I did Aeka's first. I managed to the other one, but not without feeling like a complete asshole. >: I only ever used walkthroughs twice: once for Kara no Shoujo, then with Steins;Gate, both of which have really obtuse mechanics.
  5. Haven't been able to continue much of my VNs these past few days due to studying Kanji and stuff from college. Hopefully I won't leave Rio and Kotori hangin for too long, eh.
  6. Man, I love that movie too. I have to watch it again.
  7. I love Shaft. It's probably my favorite studio. Most of my favorite shows are from them. I have to admit, though, that the 4th season of Hidamari was kind of weak...
  8. Sasami-san is one of my favorites of the season, if only because it's absolutely insane. It's like the director of Zardoz made it (not that this is a bad thing, of course).
  9. I forgot to say how much this has been motivating me lately. I've never been so productive in... years, probably. haha Not just with learning Japanese, that is, but with pretty much everything in my life.
  10. Vividred Operation is amazing, if only because it borders into ridiculousness at certain points.
  11. It's a shame I can't share the same sentiment as you guys about Sakurasou... Too much melodrama for my tastes. >:
  12. I second what Ryoji said. G-Senjou is awesome, and everything becomes clear by the time you get to the final chapter... Though that should be obvious. Just keep in mind that the side routes are more like what-if scenarios, and they even have certain elements and twists that directly contradict what we learn in the true route (this is especially true for Kanon's route).
  13. The only time I found myself skipping text was with Ever17. The earlier parts of the game are incredibly boring, and don't seem to serve any purpose. Even the small bits of humor weren't very entertaining. And damn, too many chicken sandwiches!
  14. I decided to try out Heisig's method today and damn, that was satisfying. I've never been very good with Kanji, and I think this'll really help me. I'm excited.
  15. Well, it's not like I won't try... I'm getting as many quests as I can, as they are pretty nice... If I feel like completing it 100%, maybe I'll check out your walkthrough :3
  16. Ufotable should remake every Type-Moon anime ever. Screw Deen. >: And yeah, the OST of the original Tsukihime gets incredibly boring later... Haha, thanks dude!
  17. I don't think I'll have the patienct to complete all the quests and all that. Sounds like too much of a pain... Granted, the Mappie segments are usually hilarious.
  18. Why would it be a sequel? Isn't it a remake? o_o
  19. Haha... Tell me about. There's so much shit on my desktop it's like a dumpster for unused icons.
  20. This game... God, I need to continue it. It looks amazing~ Here's mine. Nothing particularly special, I think. But I like having Cristina there~
  21. Hey there, dude. I'm pretty new here as well, so I hope we can both have a good time here. Mark it eight, and let's roll! Also, you have Kaizo in your name... Does that mean that you have a bunch of obnoxiously positioned Chain Chomps around you?
  22. Eden is not fully translated, I believe, except for the very beggining or the trial or something. Also, I don't think Minori works for Manga Gamer... ^^;
  23. Huh, I used to play Osu a few years ago. I thought it was pretty fun; it's a nice way to pass the time. Unfortunetely, I don't even have it installed on my computer anymore. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday, but who knows~
  24. Count me into this community. haha xD But yeah, there aren't many people who play them 'round here. A few friends of mine from back in high school knew about them, but thought they were boring because there's little gameplay. Soooo, it was just me for a long time. Still don't know anyone personally who reads any. I was an English teacher for a semester last year, and I can say that a few of my students were fully capable of understanding the level of English seen in most translated works. Hell, scratch "few"; I'd say a lot of them know the language enough to read a VN without much trouble. I think that even some of the students that had a bit of trouble with the language would be able to work around some of the more simple works, like an SoL.
