I cast my vote on position, but I don't mean just varying positions from h scene to h scene, but rather using several positions in every scene. To clarify: I'm currently reading Hoshi Ori. There is a whole bunch of h scenes (10 or so) for every heroine, but most of them only consist of one position with a few CG variations, and a ton of dirty talk or pointless dialogue as filler. I would have much preferred if they reduced the amount of h scenes by 70% and just combined all the content into a few scenes with several different positions and less filler talk.

Oppai Ending in Rewrite confirmed as true route!

I actually did, but not nearly as much as I hoped I would. My expectations were pretty high since Rewrite is ranked #15 on VNDb with a rating of 8.56, so I guess I was pretty much set up for disappointment from the getgo. It's a decent VN, but I don't think it's one that I'll get the urge to reread. I was considering doing it in Rewrite+, but if the only addition to the story is what you mentioned, I can live without it (since I think that character is kinda boring). Anyway, thanks for the elaborate answer! I'll probably just read Harvest Festa and ignore the rest.

I would recommend against that. Maybe this isn't an issue for most people, but using one of my favorite songs as an alarm actually ruined that song for me to the point where I'm no longer able to enjoy listening to it. I'm not sure why, but it might be because I unconsciously started associating it with something bad (being forced to wake up).

Other people might disagree with me, but I'd like to bring up Kana Little Sister, or the updated version, Kana Okaeri. It's generally considered a good VN, but I rarely see anyone mention it, possibly because of the fact that the original version will celebrate its 20th anniversary in two months. Despite its age, I think it deserves more time in the spotlight, since it's one of the visual novels that has had the most impact on me emotionally.

From what I've heard, both chapter 7 and 8 are pretty much done already, but they seem to be taking their time for whatever reason. Chapter 6 was released almost a year ago, so I sincerely hope that we'll get chapter 7 soon and that we won't have to wait as long for chapter 8.

Mangagamer have released or are in the process of localizing a total of 14 chapters. The Nintendo Switch version includes all chapters released across all platforms.

I've finished Sora's and Touko's routes this week. Is the drama this shallow in the other routes as well? Whenever something bad happened in Sora's route, it was resolved literally within a few seconds. In Touko's route, the main issue that was lingering in the background for most of the route was resolved immidiately after they decided to try out something that was an obvious solution all along. Basically, all the drama so far seems pointless and feels like something they added just because they felt like they had to. The drama in Hatsukoi was pretty awful at times, but it was still more entertaining than what Hoshi Ori has shown me so far.

The House in Fata Morgana has my favorite soundtrack of all time, followed by the one in Nier Automata. As far as visual novels go, If My Heart Had Wings and Hoshizora no Memoria are two of my other favorites.

A review I found states that "Mitoko is introduced to us as a senior in high school". I have no idea if that's actually the case, though.

This is kinda conflicting. Including Akari's route in the original package would mean that they would have to delay the release of Flight Diary until the translation of Akari's route was finished. Sure, it would be classified as a regular release date that way, but compared to the current scenario, it would most definitely be a delay. Judging by what you wrote, it seems like you would be fine with a higher price point as long as Flight Diary and Akari's route were released together. Would you be fine with paying that higher price if the complete package wasn't released until now? (Putting aside the fact that you're not interested in Moenovel's localizations. You can imagine the same thing happening with a title you're interested in, if that helps.) If you're actually fine with both a delayed release and a higher price point, it seems really strange to get upset over the current scenario.

Dergonu, just out of curiousity, would you have preferred if Moenovel delayed the release of Flight Diary until now and included Akari's route from the getgo? If so, would you have accepted a $19,48 price point for the total package?

Doesn't Cruise Sign contain an all ages version of Flight Diary done by Pulltop themselves? It's listed on the Flight Diary VNDb page, at least. If that's the case, I'm pretty sure Moenovel just used those assets, meaning they wouldn't have to cut very much (if anything).

It's already pretty common to release VNs in episodes, which is basically the same thing. I honestly wouldn't be against routes being released separately, so I can read them over time instead of having to wait for a full release. The only real problem I see with this is that currently unreleased routes might get cancelled if the previous ones don't live up to sales expectations.

I'm pretty sure this is just Akari's route. I doubt they'd add the common route from the main game to the fan disc as well.

It's pretty nice to see a normal best friend character for once! I guess you could argue that it makes Shuuichi seem kinda bland, but I honestly think it's a refreshing contrast to all the perverts, desperate virgins and all out comic relief characters you usually see in that role.

Yeah, agreed. It also gave me flashbacks to the intolerable, pseudo-deep nonsense that littered the Moon route, which is quite possibly the worst route I have ever read in any VN. It was like they told the writer "Hey, here's a bunch of drugs. Try 'em all and make sure to write down anything that comes to mind."

Most of the characters were either impossible to symphathize with or just flat out boring, but other than that, the ending was probably the biggest disappointment. It felt pretty hollow and unrewarding after going through so much.

I finished the VN a week ago, but I was pretty disappointed by most of it so I was kinda hoping the anime would be better.

Can anyone here clarify a bit what's changed in Rewrite+ compared to the original? I know it includes Harvest Festa, new CG's, more voiced dialogue and whatnot, but the part about "direction and scenario improvements by Tanaka Romeo" doesn't really tell me much. Are there any actual changes or additions to the plot, or is this just a matter of refining the dialogue? I'm trying to decide if it's worth rereading the entire VN when it's eventually released, or if I should just read Harvest Festa and be done with it.

Unless they go back to their old IMHHW ways and screw up the translation, but they've apparently been pretty decent ever since then (I haven't actually read any myself) so it should probably be fine.

I really wish people would stop paying for SakuraGame's localizations. Then again, I doubt they'd stop making them either way, considering how little work they have to put in.

Woah, seriously? They really went all out with this VN! I haven't made much progress myself yet. I just finished the common route and went into Sora's route, but I'm going to start reading this full-time whenever I'm done with Ef!
