Didn't try it yet But it should work - in general, I used that method earlier and it worked. Now for output I prefer Chiitrans over browser with Rikaichan, but it still should work as principle is the same - Chiitrans too captures text from clipboard. So I will be just replacing Textractor with ITHVNR.

Yay, I completed first route in To Heart PSE やった！ It was Akari's (childhood friend) route. Well, it was pretty decent, and because it requires to get along with some other characters, also serves as nice introduction. I wasn't too fond of conflict this route uses - but I have to admit, that while I was facepalming at MC sometimes, his behaviour was believable - pretty immature, but well, they're 16, what should I expect And additionally confused by their lifelong osananajimi relationship. To quote Hiroyuki's thoughts (my loose translation, quoting from memory): "Childhood friends - almost like siblings, but not related. Definitely closer than friends, but still not lovers. How long can we continue this strange relationship?" At least everything ends well - as it should with moege As for the other heroines that I met during this route, I really liked Lemmy, Multi (robot girl) and Aoi-chan. Shiho seems to be annoying brat I'm also interested in Tomoko, for two reasons. I like girls with glasses, and she's voiced by Aya Hisakawa With 10 heroines total it will certainly take me some time to finish it, but after that first route I'm definitely going to continue The game features also radio program called "Heart to Heart" that you can choose to listen to on Saturday evenings (totally optional, doesn't affect routes). Most of it went over my head, 'cause it's audio-only, and they're talking pretty fast, but it sounds nice. Also, chibi-sprites used on map-movement screens are absolutely cute.

I just managed to run it. Even though they claim that it's XP compatible, I had to actually set compatibility mode to Win98, and then it works flawlessly on Win7

According to store page it was compatible with everything up to XP. I tried it on Win 7 and XP (both with japanese locale), with the same result. Other D.O. games on this engine worked flawlessly on my Win 7 (although they were translated versions from JAST).

It looks like it's my turn to ask for help... Recently I bought download edition of Saki no Love Love Honeymoon from getchu.com. It's kind of side-story for Saki's route from Yukizakura. Unfortunately, I cannot run it - it keeps giving me error message "Please run with administrator rights" - even though it IS set to run with them. Also, I have my system locale set to Japanese (date format and locale for non-unicode applications). Can somebody help me? Thanks

Yeah, WagaHigh was great, although I felt a bit overwhelmed with h-scenes. Half of them would be enough (And I didn't like the way nipples were drawn in h-cgs) Recently I got all-ages version on Steam sale, and I plan to reread it in Japanese some day (+18 version misses dual-language feature).

I'm not sure - I loved them all (except for Rewrite which I didn't read yet), but probably Little Busters as well. But Clannad, or even AIR and Kanon aren't too far behind.

It looks like console version (developed by 5pb?) runs on a different engine, so probably yes. As far as I remember from browsing, file formats definitely are different, and I don't know if there are even tools to work on PS3 version at all.

There are some good news regarding Cruise Sign. PS3 version can be bought pretty cheap used, works perfectly under RPCS3 emulator (it isn't piracy if you own original disk), and can be hooked using Cheat Engine with Hook Any Text plugin : I think I'm going to read it after ToHeart.

Whoa, at first it looked like two-headed Kotori I'm not sure if I'll buy this version. Maybe on some sale... I'm aiming to read Cruise Sign - also all-ages, but properly done, and with Akari's route as a bonus. Seriously, Pulltop should localize (and port to PC) Cruise Sign and thus create "IMHHW Ultimate Edition" instead of half-assed shit they're apparently doing with this.

So, today I'm going all oldschool again (although this time I jump into '90s, not '80s), and starting Magic Knight Rayearth I don't think it will be able to surpass Sailor Moon, but should be fun nevertheless. I've already listened to soundtrack many times, and it's one of my anime OST favorites (together with aforementioned SM )

If I may, let me share my current experience - I think this would be proper thread, as it's less about VN, and more about the process of reading. Currently I'm reading ToHeart PSE for about a week. I'm using Textractor + Chiitrans for looking up unknown words (with furigana switched off ). First two or three days were rather slow and exhausting, but now it got pretty smooth - not much slower than when reading translated ones (but I have to admit I don't rush through them, always listening to the voices etc). I started to get used to characters' speech patterns, remember some of the new words that reappear often etc. It's actually really amazing feeling - and it got me by surprise. While there is still odd sentence here and there that flies over my head, I got pretty comfortable with this VN. Of course, there's possibility that I'm just at easy segment of script But, contrary to what some people are claiming, apparently you don't have to study for 5+ years to be able to read untranslated VNs without relying on MTL and have fun with it Also, I found "Dictionary of basic japanese grammar" really helpful, as an addition to other resources.

I was biased against it for a long time after some bad experiences with instant ones brewed too long and using too hot (=boiling) water. When I first tried properly brewed green tea (I think it was at one small japanese restaurant* that quickly became my favorite place) I instantly loved it. * too bad that it's open only Mon-Fri, 10-16 and not in my city, so I can visit them only during my holidays or when they do saturday special events once in a month. This place is true 穴場 ("hole in the wall") - little shop, hidden somewhere in former industrial district, with just a few seats and two ladies running it - but with absolutely delicious, home-like cooking.

As for tea, I recently almost completely switched to japanese green tea - mostly 煎茶 - and sometimes I'm drinking it while reading VNs too (preferably with some cookies too ). Funny thing, up to around year ago I couldn't possibly imagine that I would even remotely like green tea of any kind
