    Not impressed with SP tbh, despite my initial hopes for them. I personally don't care about cencorship, or images being cropped - the cropping can't be helped if you want a 16:9 ratio without it being a blurry, squished mess. (though that's coming from someone with zero expereince with art assets, anyway)
     
    But their general attitude has really started to suck, and I think a lot of people are starting to get burnt out from the whole kickstarter thing. Love how they automatically called it promoting piracy - god forbid the rare case someone might actually own a legit japanese copy.

    And some bad news : Main translator was sent to hospital due to health problem (and be abused by someone  ). Nothing serious but need sometime to rest.

    Well heres some updates (not big, but rather small and quick.)

    The game has been completed (in Japanese) by following an online guide that eventually lead to the ending scene of the game.
    Translations are still going slow.. We need more translators please!

    Pst... Hey there, guys~ Iarumas here! I'm actually the head of the translation project and, while I was searching for some Dead Patient news, I found this thread. Guess I can help keep things up to date here, too. Your excitement, encouragement, and enthusiasm for the project is always so wonderful to see and I want to thank you guys for that personally.
     
    So, good news and bad news for the project. We'll start with the bad news first. The bad news is that the website being linked there is outdated and the countdown was a placeholder date. Unfortunately, I'm sorry to say the game will certainly not be releasing in such a short time.
     
    But fret not, now for the good news. The good news is the project is definitely not dead and we are still aiming to release a high quality final product for all of you to enjoy! No definitive dates right now, but we are trying to aim for early next year as our release period. In the meanwhile, good chance to check out Blood Drive when it comes out on October 13th.
     
    Feel free to ask questions if you'd like and I'll try to address them as they come up. Thank you so much for your continued support and please look forward to the final release!

    If you are wondering about progress of translations, you can watch me translate the game every 1-3 weeks! (If you stumble across the 1st let's play, I guarantee you DO NOT want to watch my first part.. That was pretty much a horrible failed translation. But hey, I learned my mistakes of being dependent on, "friends who say they know Japanese."  )

    We also have a new translator..! (Except I'm still waiting for replies from 2 others...) He will hopefully help us translate other parts we need translated while working on "MAIN" route!

    Well that's a good thing, I was about to post a status update about our recent progress!
    So, last time I posted here, I was talking about how we were having issues in programming and composing. Well, good news for both, those issues have been solved! We've recruited a lot of fresh blood, and we gained a lot of dynamic and made quite a lot of progress, thanks to :
    - Zuka, who joined the team as a programmer and who is taking care of the GUI
    - jbonesy, who also joined as a programmer, and who is taking care of Narrative scripting
    - breeze, Ultrakitsune, Yunyunsae and Ziassan who all joined as composers for the project (damn, I was complaining about not findig any composer one month ago, and now we have four).
    - Zander, who will produce SFX for us.
    - Suna who joined our ranks as a writer

    It's probably a legitimate question to wonder if having so many composers won't be counter-productive. Well, I can't deny that there is a risk, but at the same time, putting all the workload on only one composer would be way too unreasonable, and having more hands allow us to create more tracks to fit specific situations, instead of having to content ourselves with generic OST that try to fit everywhere. Musical consistency might suffer a bit, but it's a risk we're willing to take to tell the truth.

    I'm pretty sure everyone would want some more concrete news though, so here we go :
    - First of all, we decided to release a new demo for January 2016. I can't give a precise day yet, not can I guarantee that it won't be delayed by several weeks, but we'll try our best to respect this deadline.
    - This demo will include the entirety of common route. As a reminder, Common route spans over 13 days, and should pretty much last you for something between 5 hours (for the fastest readers) and 7-8 hours.
    - Despite what you could have believed from our previous demo, the pace is not going to be a 13-days slice of life comedy without any plot progression. First 5 days are pretty much exposition, character introductions and comedy, days 5 to 8 get into the heart of the mystery and has a much more tensed ambiance, while days 9 to 13 will be the climax of common route.
    - Interestingly enough, common route can be seen pretty much as a standalone story/arc in the greater scheme of the Lucid9 universe. Several reasons to that, mainly, it will allow us to release a demo that has a complete development story-wise, and give some sort of satisfaction to the reader. Kinda comparable to a reader finishing the first tome of a book series (not exactly the same, but you get my idea). Some people will like it and ask for more, some others won't and will question our choices, we're aware that we can't please everyone, but nevertheless this will be the story we wanted to tell.
    - The days 1 to 4 of this demo have been reworked a bit, so there will be new and changed content compared to the previous demo (the most noteworthy being a rework on Misaki's personality).
    - The demo will be released on ren'py as a downloadable. For those who were wondering, the current demo you can find on cloudnovel won't be worked on anymore and will be discontinued in favor of the ren'py version. We're already working on implementing the script on ren'py, and most of the GUI has already been created and implemented (as you can see here :

    Well that's about it! I'll try to give more updates as things progress!

    Glad you enjoyed it. Most of these "basic errors" and other issues should be fixed in the final version. The partial patches are just raw translation with rather light editing and are mostly meant as a preview.

    I guess I didn't state it on fuwa, so for those that wondered why there was no update for 4 weeks rather than 2 as would have been usual; I was on vacs for a little more than a week and wasn't able to translate during that time. I'll do my best to finish the translation before October.

    Ah.. Sorry for any inactivity with this current thread! Everyone is either retired (basically they already finished doing their role.) working in School, College, or Work. This isn't much, but some good news to raise a few spirits who are still checking out our thread
    We have finally gotten a new translator to help out with the Sakurasou Project!
    Mitaka here has gotten some translators to continue working while I'm busy cramming with tests ( ̄O ̄ ') (Sorry!)
    Our September update should come out in the following weeks from now. But I'm certain that it will be more fantastic to read about!

    Ririko's route is finished, MG5 is out, and onepunch-man(original) has finally been updated by ONE in what seems like forever.....this is all good news, unfortunately their is also bad new. It seems that the one and only active TL is all burnt out.

    The story
    God Eater 2 is set 3 years after the storyline of God Eater Burst, featuring a new set of characters, with some returning old ones and a new storyline.
    The story focuses on a new team of God Eaters, the Special Forces "Blood", who all posses something called "The Power of Blood", as well as the new phenomena known as the "Red Rain". - GameFaqs
     
    Motivation
    God Eater 2 has been released on November 14th, 2013 in Japan, but D3Publisher has no plan to make an English localization.
    As fans of God Eater 2, we (Coldbird and Noname120) decided to work on tools so as to make the translation of this game possible.

    Well, it's been a while since I last posted here...
     
    I guess I'll make a quick summary of what happened since last time I posted something :
     
    - Writing is progressing well, we're moving onto heroine routes, and common route is in editing phase. There are quite a lot of additions to be made on common route, so it's nowhere near to completion (but we are actively working on it as well).
     
    - Art is progressing well, not really much to say about that, we are working on new sprites and on CG for common route currently.
     
    - Music is stalling, mostly because we have no composer available to work on the Lucid9 tracks. Fortunately, a good portion of the tracks we need for common route is already composed. If you're a composer and you'd like to offer your services as a composer, feel free to pm me!
     
    - Programming is... Well, I guess we are operating a change of direction here. Even though our current demo on cloudnovel is working, we ultimately had issues with the creators, we are probably going to make Lucid9 on ren'py since it's probably the safest and most reliable way.
     
     
    As a result, I have no idea when we'll be able to release a demo... The good thing is that the next demo will be an downloadable one!
     
    I guess I'll share some of the art that has been created lately as an apology for the lack of updates lately :

    Yep, I'm back? Too hectic for me to lurk here like I used to for 5-13 hours of the day which I could usually do.

    I see great changes. I want to go OL in fuwa but mostly, I'm hindered by playing LoV, Aigis and other game stuff which pretty much takes up my free time.

    I'll be here since I can see that I'll probably have free time. The only reason for me not to probably Log-in everyday now is me forgetting, seriously it can happen, or no internet.

    Time to change my profile pic and stuff and lurk once again. I wish I could have spent all of this time learning JP instead.

    Oh gawd, I'm ashamed of myself that I don't already have that amazing wallscroll in addition to my shinku dakis, figures and posters. It should go without saying that I've pre-ordered the special edition of Akai Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai to get that godly Shinku plushy. I wouldn't be able to live on with the knowledge that it exists without me owning it myself.
     
    I hear on the 21st, Urushibara Yukito is gonna post a special illu in honour of Shinku's birthday. I gonna have hotcakes for sure on that day.
     
    Also, just to let you all know since I didn't post any updates or anything, sakusaku is gonna be done some time by the end of august. I'll then proceed to immediately focus on iroseka. So far, I haven't really come around to translate much of the first chapter, but at least, the staff is more or less "finalized" by now. Well, that's except for a capable 2nd translator, which I honestly don't even expect to appear anyway.
