Alright, so... after finishing 11eyes, I began reading Kara no Shoujo 2 and resumed my reading of Clannad (since then, I've finished Kyou's and Kappei's route and I'm on my way to the Sunohara siblings'). I'm also almost finished with Ace Attorney: Miles Investigations!
Kara no Shoujo 2: the first murder happened and I'm hyped
Clannad: honestly, this vn is like Harry Potter for me in the sense that I should've read it sooner lol I feel like I'm too old to read this, it's so overdramatic and cheesy and meh- also, it doesn't help that I don't like Tomoya lol

[11eyes] I finished Yuka's route yesterday... If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 3/5 but I'm not sure if that's even for the route itself because I couldn't notice that much of a division between the main action plot and the romance plot. Some would say this is good, myself included, but it was done in such a way that nothing actually changed until suddenly boom, the protagonist loves her. It feels really weird and artificial. Besides that, I never liked Yuka, not one bit. She is insufferable
Anyways, the ending left me with even more questions than answers, but I'm guessing that is on purpose, as there is the true ending waiting for me but still;;;; I don't like when the vn is written in a way that the other heroines seem not to matter at all.
SpoilerNow... if there's one thing I enjoyed and was NOT expecting, it was the Kukuri betrayal scene
She did not even hesitate, fucking amazing. I'm still wondering why she did that tho. I'm also guessing she's the one that revived all of them and kind of reversed everything to normal, "before" the Red Night hmmmmmm

Spoiler- Misuzu mentioned ways of making Kakeru powerful with her family's blood permanently but there were certain conditions to be met... I've seen it happening in the anime but wow, is he going to get laid with ANOTHER girl on Yuka's route?

Hmmm I've noticed that there are some blue blocks in Kakeru's perspective (CrossVision) that are skipped

- Jfc the finger-sucking scene was hecka suggestive... Kakeru sure likes too suck
- That training tho... I wished I could've felt more empathy for him :/
- Wait, did Liselotte want to take Yuka's body before she forgot everything?
- Every time things get cute between Yukiko and Takahisa, he just gotta ruin everything... ugh.
- Okay, so... did the same thing that made the kids go bat-shit crazy in Ayame Garden happen to Kakeru's sister? That's why she killed herself? Hmmmmm... more questions.

Day 11! Hmmm, today's reading was interesting for sure. There were many things happening but I didn't write down a lot.

- Man, it's so weird how Kukuri can just heal them after the fight and suddenly they don't feel tired or hurt. I still feel tired from reading that alone lmao
- I like how naturally Takahisa told Yukiko his feelings for her, awn. Maybe there's hope for him.

Day 10 of reading 11eyes!
Man, today was a big ride, holy moly. I just wanna jump to certain parts but I will write everything I wrote down on my notebook, hehe.
Spoiler- Man, I really ship Takahisa and Yukiko;
- Wait, what? Takahisa is sleeping around with Saiko? Holy shit... I mean, I shouldn't be surprised but still-- I only saw them as family, not lovers or, as Saiko puts it, "fuck-buddies";
- Bruh, the Saiko h-scene with Kakeru wasn't totally uncomfortable at first but it sure as hell was unexpected with me being in, you know, YUKA'S ROUTE. Ah, yes, this is definitely the Ultimate NTR Route;

- Jesus, that one cross-vision in which Takahisa pushes Saiko, naked, against the window... yikes forever. Finished that and wow, now I just feel bad for Saiko and I understand why Takahisa wants to keep his distance from her...

Also, that quote gave me the feeling that there will be strong relations between Lisette and her.

In that cross-view in which Lisette meets Michael, it's supposed to be serious and dark but then he yelled "Hallelujah!" and I lost it
Alright, my theory so far is that Lisette created the Red Night so she could seal her magic and "wicked power" and also destroy that world, also destroying herself? Maybe she wants to save herself by destroying her magic, idk. She probably wants to protect the real world, for some reason tho.

- So, apparently Kukuri has a dead sister? They ain't related by blood cuz she's adopted but there's more to it, I know it. Her dead sister would be the same age as her nowadays were she alive.
- Finally, I ship Takahisa and Yukiko so much <3 It helps that they are canon lol man, Yukiko's route is going to be weird (now THAT is the ultimate NTR route, oof)

Day 5 of reading 11eyes. This time, we got into yet another Red Night and a fluffy maid event.

- Oh man, that almost-kissing scene with Yuka... I like this bold Yuka!
- It's really curious that Kakeru and Yuka never met the others before on the rooftop, even though they go there all the time, apparently. Coincidence? I don't think so!
- I'm getting suspicious of this whole Kakeru-and-Yuka-being-adopted thing. Not that I'm doubting, it's just that there mush be more to it...
- Misuzu is utterly adorable in that maid outfit but I must say that, although her panties are really pretty (I want a pair for myself, please), Takahisa can go fuck himself for all I care, ugh. Yeah, he is the "funny" perv but c'mon, that's just being an asshole. Other than that, the band-aid panties in Shiori really disturbed me, holy shit...
Oh yeah, if there's one thing I like is the contrast between paces: the common route was dragged to a point of exhaustion but Yuka's route is really fast and to the point, which is getting me really excited to keep reading it!

Day 4 of reading 11eyes. This time, we spend time with Tachibana and Yuka, mostly.
SpoilerTo be honest, I'm feeling a little weird spending so much time with Tachibana and her little "date" scene... I don't mind it but I'm in Yuka's route :x I think the thing that makes me uncomfortable is that I'm liking Tachibana more than Yuka xD It's not that hard since Yuka is fucking annoying but still,,
"And in my eyes, the ghost of my sister no longer hovered over her." (Kakeru, after his date/talk with her on the rooftop) Ah, yes, now that it doesn't seem like incest, I can date her lol
When they were talking about Vlad and his "sadistic means" and life... I'm just expecting Kakeru to go bat-shit crazy by his eye, I CAN FEEL IT.
And finally, "Their names are Latin for the Seven Deadly Sins"... I mean, I get it, the original reader is Japanese and probably doesn't know Latin or a lot abt Christianity but as a Portuguese speaker, this wasn't exactly something new or surprising haha
I'm pretty excited to see how the story is going to develop for Yuka and Lisette

Sooo I've read more on 11eyes and this time I've read this whole Red Night episode I left off the other day.
SpoilerSo yeah, the fight with Acedia. I really liked it! It wasn't as repetitive or dragged as the others. That demoniac sword's invocation from Musuzu and the hands and needles piercing her arm was kinda gross but I guess that was the point? I liked it; right after that, the cut across Acedia's face (or his sister's?) was pretty satisfying.
Kinda random, but I wish they gave Kakeru a full voice-acting bc I find his voice really interesting... I mean, it's not unique at all but I enjoy a little more personality to his character (other than being a fucking emo, that is).
About that Lisette cross-vision bit... Boi, I felt really bad for her :(( That kinda gave me kuroinu vibes, yikes. I was NOT expecting it but I mean, the knights did say she had "sinned" so there had to be something coming for her. But man, biting off her tongue? That's nasty.
I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would, maybe because the pace is faster now and there is more action and mystery and not as much slice-of-life bs (I HOPE).

I haven't updated my progress on 11eyes in a long time so I guess it's finally time! I finished the common route two weeks ago and I just began Yuka's route. I'm surprised the route would be this long as this is not even the true ending but if there's one thing this vn does a lot, is to drag things for way too long soo....
SpoilerI'm gonna be honest, I don't love the comedy here but I really laughed with Takahisa ending his sentences with "Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche" hahaha Also, Kukuri inviting us on a date? Was not expecting it, having in mind I am in Yuka's route :x
Oh yeah, if there's one thing this vn does well is the creepy transition of slice of life to the Red Night setting... It's hella unsettling. But not just with the Red Night; any change of tone or mood is done well (e.g.: when Misuzu talks about the way Kakeru's muscles are adapting way too quickly and that is unnatural ).
I stopped reading as soon as they got into the Red Night but I will be updating my reactions daily as I'll try to read an hour every day c:

This really depends on my situation, of course. If I am on vacations, I'll probably spend about 2 hours (because I also have other hobbies haha) daily but, before I started a vn book club on discord, I would read at least 30 minutes each day; after the book club, I now read about 1 or 2 hours daily, which is insane to me
I'm very happy about that tho! It's really good for me!

In a way, I agree, but I also feel like that is a cultural thing. Certain countries that are more nationalistic in the sense they have more dubs than actual subs have this problem because their inhabitants aren't used to read subs but other countries like mine (Portugal) have always read subs for everything so we don't really mind haha I personally can only stand dubs in kids cartoons but other than that, I'd rather watch with subs. Then again, I read VNs so that's not much of a surprise lolol

Why not? I know people tend to gatekeep but it doesn't make sense, since bringing visual novels to mainstream attention will only help getting more works translated! Don't "old school fans" want more stuff translated? It seems quite masochistic of them, even for me.

I mean, this happens all the time... and it's not necessarily a bad thing. There will always be gems that will end up being translated, be it by official sources or fan-translations, but it's always a good thing that more and more people know about vns. Yeah, they may not like vns like subahibi at the beginning because they are not used to denpa (I personally haven't read it yet but, oh boy, do I want to) but I'm sure that the more it's known in mainstream media, the more people can explore this medium
Anyways, I don't think the fan-translations will stop and before that, there were only them, anyway. If someone doesn't like the trash translations (when it comes to quality of the vn itself) then why not just learn Japanese? It's not like keeping them niche is going to make them have more translations available ^^"

Alright, after some time without updating my reading life, I'm back! I've been reading Kara no Shoujo 2 every day and I would say I'm mid-way through it
I'm loving it so far! Even more than the first one, I'd say. Besides that, I've been trying to finish Gyakuten Kenji. It's pretty great! I'm starting Mei's route in Clannad, I'm curious to see what's going to happen around her and Sunohara!

Honestly, my suspicions are very much centered in Nanako and Naori... Nanako could be even helping him, but I doubt they would repeat the same thing again (at least I hope not).
