  1. Yes. When Tay breaks the forums, no one really did it. "An error happened" but no one's responsible for it. Such is the way of the elite.
  2. The taming of the shrew, god knows that helped me learn how to make girls obedient. Pretty handy book. Probably 1984.
  3. I watched saint seiya when I was a young teen and loved it. Didn't understand or really know it was anime, though. I don't remember the first anime I watched knowing it was anime, but it was pretty late - Fairly sure I got into VNs before I got into anime, with my first really being a 240p tsukihime autoplay upload to youtube that I'm surprised I got through since my english was trash (enough that I distinctly remember saying I didn't mind machine translations in my fuwa intro thread, because I couldn't tell the difference,) the letters were blurry and it was very very slow. I actually watched naruto last year, because I hadn't ever watched naruto and I thought I should watch it for the skae of having watched it. It was pretty meh. Will make the list.
  4. @Yukiru, my old fuwa kouhai, of course. Eclipsed and Kosaki after him.
  5. I'd go with the classic "maiden rape assault, violent semen inferno." Jokes aside though, Marunomi. Actually rose guns days.
  6. It's about whether or not she'll be tired or broken after her HP is reduced from the act, but it'll country for sutra gain before it happens, I think. So long as it's above 50 after that HP reduction, you should be fine. Dunno though.
  7. No, no one ever did something like that. We thought Nosebleed accidentally broke the forums once, but it turned out he hadn't, still blame him for it though ww In the past 5 years... I quit my job, I guess. Have 3 houses I'm renting. Living off of that for now, having to pay the upkeep for them leaves me with less money than I wish I had, though. Traveling Brazil a lot. Other than that, I can't say my life changed much at all, though I changed a lot as a person. Largely because I thought spending my time playing eroge all day every day would be enough for life, but after like 4 months I realized it was a pretty miserable experience and explore a lot of hobbies outdoors nowdays. As much of my time as I spent on fuwa, I can't say it had a big influence in my life. At least not one that I noticed yet, anyway.
  8. I was talking about the past, yes. Only 2013. For the past year or so we held down the fort with only 2 mods. I recruited 3 more recently. Staff page is pretty outdated since it has mostly dead users.
  9. New one is better for being a listing site and showing new releases and our articles. Makes more sense for the current purpose of fuwa.
  10. I'd tell him to get a better saddle and have a good laugh.
  11. You too can beocme a mod if you mail me some japanese candies and a dakimakura of some loli.
  12. Should be. Not involved with it myself though. Old mission statement if anyone cares ww
  13. This is fuwanovel's main site. It didn't always look like that - in fact this is how our site used to look, but neither are the forums. Fuwanovel was created by an ardent pro-piracy gal named Aaeru. She was fond of VNs, didn't like the existing VN community and wanted to make visual novels more popular in the west. She believed easy to access torrents of VNs were the way to go about it, and the main site used to host those torrents. A lot has happened over the years, and now we have some different cool things going on (check out fuwamoon!) with the main site now being mainly a listing site. The forums themselves have always just been a place for the community to gather and hang out though.
  14. I like being part of the community. Had some problems early on, but there's hardly any fuwa drama nowdays. Also hey, nice to see you.
  15. A secret, now defunct subforum. I'll let you image its purpose. Ufufu.
  16. Nukige. It's what started the genre, it's the current most made type of game, it's always been the most popular type of VN to make. Stories can suck, but porn is pure. So long as it doesn't look like complete trash, it has value, unlike the average bad VN.
  17. I became a moderator roughly a week after this. Now, when I joined, being a mod was very very different. We had like 20 mods, and people were mods for all sorts of reasons. In fact, it wasn't even really a mod team per se - everyone gained a "staff" badge, and people had that badge for really odd things. One of our people was a mod because they ran this awesome hacking service that helped with translating VNs, others got the badge in part because of their involvment with uploading our torrents, etc. I was originally supposed to be a special mod as well, not doing much moderation and instead involving myself in the management of some community projects that never came to be. Everyone still had mod powers, and we all did moderate a lot, though. Some reports got up to 15 different moderator comments before we solved them, as obvious as those reports were. I more or less learned how to moderate with everyone else, and by the time we revamped the moderating system for GMs and BMs, I was one of the oldest people left. Aaeru was a very nice person. Almost a legend to us in a way. "Aaeru would have done this" was a serious argument we considered when debating what to do in the staff forums years after she was already gone. Her ideas about piracy were probably a bit misguided, and she pissed off a lot of people, but I can't help but view her in a good light.
  18. Welcome to the forums! Hope you have fun around here.
  19. People mostly use things like reddit nowdays after all. Forums are nice though.
