  1. You joining was Steins;Gate's choice, you know. I greet you, Sodie! *cough* I'm reading s;g too much *cough* el psy congroo
  2. Everyone is in IRC, obviously~
  3. I WILL NOT PLAY THIS MAP ANY MORE NOT PLAUY THIS MAP ANY MNORE DONT OBSESS DONT OBSESSFNUIEWVANJH IRPANOJR,PJAO
  4. I do like the feel, though I personally dislike one specific element, those short sliders that almost act as normal hitcircles (since I always break combo there qq). Also maybe slider speed should be fast and not slow after the stack on... jesus I should start using the editor instead EDIT: the three mini sliders starting at 00:18:592 are what I'm talking about. The angle the move isn't the angle your cursor will be moving and the flow is weird. And I suck at them.
  5. Holy fuck your combos are long man EDIT: nevertheless after like 4 or 5 tries
  6. Turned out that it was actually shader effects. I thought that they, like, shaded stuff, but apparently they can also be used for flashes. For now, I don't have to sacrifice hit lighting.. yay!
  7. I still prefer default skin, only problem I have are these huge white screenwide flashes which I don't really know how to stop. They are cute but if im playign a fast song they obscure the notes for crucial milliseconds...

  9. Hmm, you say you changed your location to japan... but did you set your locale? The reason I say this is because the error message is all question marks and garbled text is appearing in the blue textbox. If you haven't already, follow the instructions here (I believe you also have to reboot the computer afterwards, though I'm pretty sure windows tells you that anyway).
  10. I'm still higher than lewy on that map he DTd cause I have a 100% HD run though ~
  11. ^Well, I never said he couldn't buy the cartridge and ignore the ds system itself. Personally I've been looking for it in various random stores around europe, but seems like nobody carries it (not really unexpected). I guess I could search online... And I found playing it on emu better due to being able to use magnification filters etc.
  12. Since bats recommended Ever17 (it's still my highest voted vn after reading thirty or so!), I'll say that if your computer is powerful enough for DS emulators, 999: Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors is pretty damn good if you like mystery / softish scifi.
  13. Well, there are quite a few save slots. A decent lot of the messages are only for random achievements; otherwise, it's not until chapter five that the first choice that is really important happens iirc. I'm somewhat in the same boat as you are, but I'd just recommend what you would normally do: accept calls from your target only, etc
  14. Sometimes, I like to pretend this comment is directed at me

  16. Welcome; one way to find new Vns is to sort vndb by bayesian rating - it's fairly accurate. I'll add that you... probably shouldn't be using cursive text for every post. It gets annoying :s
  17. The rainbow cd is arranged, though... and personally, I think it pales in comparison to the originals.
  18. Have you tried running it... as a normal user? (partly assuming you don't have an admin account now...)
  19. Moving it will break installs if they rely on registry and can't into checking the current directory as well, prepatched is another matter and depends on whether you had to run .bat files. If you did, you probably have to run them again. It's possible that this will leave a bit of a mess in the registry, but symphonic rain worked with two values for a registry entry thingy at least. If worried, there's always the option to move it back.
  20. Windows has this thing about not letting programs mess around in Program Files (at this point you are free to say "wat"), so if you have it in C:\Program Files (or localized equivalent name) you might want to move it to somewhere else (I suggest going a head and making the folder C:\VNs 'cause it looks all neat and pro). It's possible Luch's suggestion will also fix this for the same reasons.
  21. This was discussed in IRC fairly long a while ago. In the end, the mods don't want to take the potentially heavy load that comes from moderating comments; I imagine now they can just say "edit out the stupid shit then". Eventually naynay will prolly get at least the user reviews section up, and troubleshooting faqs are curently in progress on the forums; I guess they'll be linked to the vn dl pages eventually. Also anon comments like these have an extremely low barrier to entry, which is useful to decrease participation inequality -- it's too bad it will fill up with shit with some frequency.
  22. Read Al Fine, and all shall be revealed
