Original Post ↓ Hello. I've decided to translate Saimin Yuugi, my favorite eroge. Well written hypnosis with Sayori's art? Holy shit, yes please. Really, nothing else compares. Now, I'm a solo, amateur translator, and I acknowledge we're an inherently unreliable lot. With that being said, I wouldn't be making this thread unless I was committed to finishing. Why make this thread? 1) On the off chance someone else is interested in translating, I'd love to have your help. No long-term commitment necessary. 2) If anyone is interested in editing my translated scripts (checking my grammar and watching for awkward descriptions or stilted dialogue), I'd love to have you. Also no long-term commitment necessary. 3) On the off off chance someone else was partway through translating this eight year old eroge, I may as well find out about it now before sinking too much more time into this. In short, I love this game and am asking for help to make the translation the best it can be. What have I already done? - Unpacking and repacking the game files is confirmed working with a partial patch tested both on my machine and others. - Maiya's route is 17% translated, which includes an introduction common to all routes. Not a lot, but it's only a week's worth of effort. I'm confident that this pace will let me finish without burning out. On that note however, my main goal for this project is the translation of Maiya's route. I think the completionist in me will make sure I see the project through to the end, but I expect significantly slower progress on the other routes. Especially Keika's. If you have questions feel free to ask.

Alrighty, it's posting time! I'm going to finish Iwaihime until this weekend, but so far I've read Kanae's and Riria's routes and I'm currently reading Kiko's. Well... It's not getting any better. To be honest, the only reason I haven't dropped it already is because I'm reading this for my vn club, so I do want to discuss it with the people there, even if it's to complain lol Kanae's Route: Hum... This one was just weird, I guess. I don't know, I just noticed that the thing that made me really want to stop reading is the pacing, again. Well, it's not like this problem would disappear from one part of the game to the other. Riria's Route: In a nutshell, can Lily just fuck off? I'm still reading Kiko's but man, this is going to be one heck of a route... Sexism and traditional gender roles: the route! Oh boy, I can't wait! Hahaha... haha... ha... ----- As soon as I finish this one, I'll start the zero escape games aaa I can't wait!

Thanks guys ! You're right but I have still a long way to go, even more if we add videogames too. And there will probably be more and more VN's translation in the future. Some surprises will hatch. I don't even know Raging Loop before I try it but it was pretty good. I'm really interested by Aiyoku no Eustia translation too ! Haha that's right, it's not that I think it's bad, but it's just not "worth" for me to read 50 hours of a cute romance. (Plus I don't really like the moe character-design from lot of VN so.. it's not even that appealing to me) But it's also because the most popular of them are really long. If those loved gamed (like Hoshi Ori&co) were like 10 hours long, maybe I would have a given more interest in them. I like plot, with twist or if not some pressure in them. I can like a romance or chill with cute girls (I like the anime Hanasaku Iroha, Yuru Camp etc..) but it's not 50+ hour long haha. Time is precious you know Np ! Ai seems really interesting, dunno if my computer can launch it tho. Remember11 always interest me, but I will try Ever17 before, and if I don't like it, Remember11 then. This last one seems more interesting I admit. I'm not sure about Planetarian I don't really like the anime adaptation, but it's not that long so I guess that I could try it. I know (by name/plot) Atri, what did you think of it ? Thanks for the suggestion, I'm currently playing 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim, it's pretty good.
